I perform standup comedy at this pub and i have people paying to get in and see me and they are charging $ 1for a glass of water!!! they already have a B grade(i never feel comfortable eating at a place when they have a B.) i give them a F for customer service. It’s totally the bartender’s choice to give me a glass of water and she just simply resfuses. Never coming here again! It’s actually illegal to resfuse to give someone a glass of water. I see why this place os always empty.

I ordered through eat24 and wish I would have read the reviews first. I chose this place because it was 3 blocks away and I was starving, but couldn’t go out. Firstly, it took 50 minutes… I ordered a hot dog and the jalapeños. How could it possibly take 50 minutes to make that and bring it 3 frickin blocks? The jalapeños were disgusting — soggy, full of seeds and the bacon was basically raw. Completely inedible. The hot dog was literally nothing more than a dried up plain dog on a bun with a side o greasy, f soggy, flavorless fries. Never again.

At first this place looks a bit sketchy to learn how to make pizza BUT it is totally worth it ! Super welcoming and accepting. LGBT friendly . The lady who owns the bar/restaurant is super educated on pizza making ! Plus it’s not only delicious but also healthy and a great place for vegetarians ! Great deal on groupon for pizza making and a free drink/beer per person! We went for an anniversary but it’s not very romantic but great for a fun date !

This place looks a little odd at first, but I’m super glad my partner convinced me to stay! We bought a groupon for the pizza making class. We decide to use it for a fun anniversary date. This place is definately not a place if you’re looking for romantic anniversary BUT worth it if you’re looking for something fun and chill to do. The owner, Eden, runs the class. You don’t get to do your dough because as you may know if you’ve made pizza before it takes a while for it to rise. She brings out the dough for you, you spread it out and add your topings. The pizza is actually really good, not greasy at all, big and you get a complementary drink with it. I thought it was worth the groupon deal! They’re LGBT friendly, always a plus. Vegeterian and vegan friendly. We didn’t struggle looking for parking, and the class was time efficient.

How many strikes should I give this place? I ordered from this place tonight for the first time using eat24 and… Strike 1: the delivery lady had to knock on the main door to my building for what she said was 20 minutes. My notes on eat24 clearly state to call my cell phone when the delivery person is outside because a knock on the door will be heard by no one and his buddy shit all. She said the place didn’t give her my notes or my cell phone number. My food arrived cold. Strike 2: my girlfriend ordered tater tots because she’d never tried them before. I told her she was weird for that too. They sent us fries instead, which she has tried. We received no explanation or warning of this. Strike 3: the description of the 3 salmon tacos said it came with sour cream. There was no sour cream. I’m not a huge baseball fan but I think I know the right decision to make next time I’m looking for reliable service and a hot meal. First impressions last the longest.

I went to this place in April and we had such a great time. The place was packed and the class was full, and the teacher was awesome. This time I came here with four other people, I called to make reservations and before I told the person on the phone how many people I had in my party she hung up. When we got there the place was DEAD! Hardly a soul in the place. No one was working the bar, so I had to ask a drunk guy(who might have actually been an employee) if there was anyone that worked there, he said«yes, she’s in the back.» And put his head back down. I had to find someone in the kitchen to come and get us, finally someone comes out after we are sitting. The MANAGER from behind the counter asks us if we want drinks while we are sitting at a table(so she has to yell). I asked her if she wanted us to go up there to order as opposed to her coming to our table(5 people going to 1 person, or 1 person going to 5… Which makes more sense?). Then we finally get back to the kitchen to make our pizzas, the«manager» was so controlling and pushy. She didn’t want us to make our own pizzas, she wanted us to watch her make ours. Since I had been there before I knew this wasn’t protocol. I told her I could do it myself, I’m a season cook after all. She kept forcing me to do what she wanted(this is after all four people in mg party had gone before and were bullied into making pizza her way). I finally told her to stop being so controlling and to back off. Instead of apologizing she argued with me until she got upset and huffed her way out of the kitchen. Also they had a «DJ» playing music over the music they had playing… Who does that?! The vibe in this place was nasty and trashy. Never coming back!!! Five months ago I would have given this place five stars, today I would give it less than one if I could. Frankly I’ll be surprised if they are still in business before the end of the year with this control freak running the place.

*** if you read anything read the last passage**** Ok, so this was one of the worst possible places I’ve ever been. The food(cheese quesadilla) was maybe fault for ordering it but was not the best. *there was a child working! She was delivering food to tables and working the register at the bar!!!

Not sure how great this place is as a bar, but I came here for the pizza making class and had a great time! The class size was pretty small, which I think was perfect for one-on-one time with Eden, the owner/instructor. She explained how to make the dough, the types of ovens used to make the pizza, optimum cooking temps, and more. It was nice being able to ask her questions and have her guide us with flattening and pulling the dough. I was just a little sad we didn’t get to actually make our own dough(Eden explained it needs to rest for 24 hours for best results). She still gave us a basic recipe, but some hands-on experience mixing the dough would have been nice. Also, it took a while to get the class started– not sure what was up with that. Overall though, the class was a good one!

The stupid Groupon had a pizza making class in this pub! It was a total rip off! All the horrible things you read in the reviews on this place is very true! I ‘m so disappointed in Groupon and this stupid class! Reminded me of when I was 3! for 27.00 per person, you get an already prepared dough!!! you flatten it, you put sauce on it, and toppings from their selection of 5 toppings… It was total bullshit class! The venu e was totally dead!!! Horrible pizza too! Felt like I was totally taken!!! Don’t buy this stupid promotion on Groupon!!! Total rip off! Anyone rating this place over 2 stars is a lier!

Have you ever had the impression that the owner of a bar would rather be doing anything in the world other than, say, owning a bar? You haven’t? Well, have I got a place for YOU to check out! I come here often, since I perform comedy and do so here from time to time. As a performance venue, the owners could honestly care less. It’s almost as though the stage(which has SOMUCH potential!!) is the bastard step-cousin no one wants to talk to. The space isn’t private enough and doesn’t have enough of a barrier that two things can go on at once, and often times, there are two things going on at once.(The owner still isn’t interested in either one) In addition, the staff will come out while someone is on stage, yell to find someone who ordered food and practically walk across the stage to deliver it. Fun! Also, good luck getting someone to pay attention to you when you actually walk up to the bar and place an order. It’s probably not their job. Oh wait… it is. I gave this place two stars because I feel bad. It’s not like they are malicious people. But for god’s sake, get a soda gun, build a partition between your two spaces, and maybe strive harder to create an environment people want to BEIN.

Wow. This is really bad on many levels. I came here about a year ago(maybe a bit longer) and it was good. The service was friendly, food was decent and they had a nice selection of draught beers. While I was there the girl behind the bar told me they did a comedy open mic night that was really fun. I remember thinking, «awesome place! This neighborhood needs something cool like this.» Cut to today… A buddy of mine from work and I decided to come here to watch a bit of the World Cup game. I suggested it because I remembered it being decent(and there was no parking at the sports bar up the street). Big mistake. First of all, the menu is now just a xerox’ed paper with a really strange mix of menu items. It’s gone from being a «burgers and beer» type menu to being a «mexican/burgers/asian-y/jalepeno popper» thing. Very disconcerting. The service was terrible. A woman took our order at the bar and then disappeared into the kitchen(never to be seen again). Then, after a LONG wait, a little old lady who barely spoke English brought our orders. She then took the order of a guy who had just come in. He ordered a Guiness while he was deciding what to order. She poured the Guiness much too fast and set it down in front of him. He was still looking over the menu, surely as confused as we had been, when she noticed a fly had landed in his beer. She said, «oh!» and swept the beer away and ran into the back. «This is good», I thought, «she is getting him a new beer». Nope! She came back from the kitchen with his beer still in hand, and the fly had been removed. She set it back down in front of him as if nothing happened. So then I hesitantly started eating my lunch. The burger was, how shall I put it? Not fresh. The fries were covered in some sort of gross«cajun» spice that had been a bit over-zealously applied. I ate a few fries, and took a couple of bites of the burger before I just couldn’t stomach it anymore. When we got back to the office, my buddy asked it I felt sick. I said, «No! But there’s still time!» «Ok, good», he replied. «Because I feel kind of ‘weird’.» Hopefully, the feeling is all in our heads. I’ll let you know… So, yeah… sick all night. Not saying it was DEFINITELY this place, but I have to wonder.

Terrible customer service! I would give this place negative stars if I could. Came to watch a Word Cup game during lunch. I was not helped or acknowledged for about 10⁄15 minutes. The counter was dirty. I guess they were«busy» which meant the place was half full. Several people were complaining that their food took 45 minutes. I saw a 3-top leave because they were never helped. I ordered a Caesar salad because I thought it would be quick and simple. Booooy, was a wrong. I received Romaine lettuce with dressing. When I asked for cheese and croutons, I was told that croutons do not come with a Caesar salad. ASIF. Then I was told that the menu didn’t say croutons came with it. For the record, Caesar salad does come with croutons: At any rate, I waited tables for about 6 years and clearly the people running this place have absolutely no restaurant experience or manners for that matter. I definitely would not come back.

Great food, great service, and great prices! I was lured in as I was walking down Wilshire Blvd by the banner proclaiming«$ 5 Pizza and Beer All Day Long.» I ordered the pepperoni pizza for $ 6, a dollar more than the cheese, and was quite impressed by it’s size, thickness, and how absolutely delicious it was. As a New Yorker, I have pretty high pizza standards and BrewDog did not disappoint. I was equally impressed by the draft selection. There are about 24 beers on tap, all but a few of them available for $ 5 and some even for $ 4. I was a big fan of the locally-brewed Point the Way IPA. I was also very satisfied with the service. It looks like a family-run place and I received fast, friendly service and felt genuinely valued as a customer. I’m not quite sure why Brew Dog is considered a dive bar, but, since this is Beverly Hills, I guess it’s what passes for a dive bar. The taps were all mounted in stainless steel, the bar top was beautiful, and the place was not run down at all. Come back to New York and I’ll show you a dive bar. But, if you’re looking for a low key place for great food and drink on a value budget, you’ll be right at home at Brew Dog.

Mostly this review is based on the fact I take out lunch here often. I will say I’ve gotten drinks here for happy hour once or twice and its generally been well priced and the service was good. Once while working late in the office I wandered over to pick up some food for the rest of the staff, and it was jam packed for a live band – seemed really fun actually. However, there are definitely reviewers on here more qualified to comment on it’s night life, and there have got to be people in the various office buildings around that might find my review useful. I work in a building just two blocks away and usually I’m in here because its the easiest pickup place for pizza if I decide to have that for lunch. 6 bucks for a 10 inch pepperoni and mushroom pizza is pretty darn good on the outskirts of Beverly Hills here, so I recommend that to anyone. I also really like the different hot dogs they do, particularly if you get the chipotle dipping sauce. Unfortunately it seems they’re constantly running out of the ones I want to order on the takeout menu I took when it opened. That’s issue one that loses a star in my book – the constant cross-offs of menu items. Issue 2 is that they don’t have any fountain soda. It’s like 1.50 and they hand you a 12 oz can(whether taking out or dining there). What’s with that? What bar doesn’t have a soda machine? Otherwise, I actually really like the staff. They’re super sweet people and always so friendly when I come in. If you’re like me any you’re looking for a place with a «wide range» of things to take out and eat back at your desk while you depressingly wade through paperwork, this is actually pretty great. The problem is you have to be prepared for the thing you want not to be on the menu, and its probably advisable you purchase your drink from the machine in your building – I feel like that’s really petty of me, but I just cannot help it.

Their food is horrible. This is seriously the worst food I’ve ever had. I ordered chicken tacos, and I was shocked when they brought the food in front of me. I saw chicken pieces on top of taco shells, and that’s it. The meat is not fresh, to the level that it smells funny. The taco shells is chewy and dry. It cost me 8 bucks, and I will not even eat their food if somebody pays me to. It’s so bad!

I like the name of the place and one day stopped in after going to the sporting goods store across the street. Not really a great location for a bar, but on the plus side there is a parking lot. They did have a decent selection of beer, but from what I remember the prices were not great given the type of atmosphere. Pro’s: –Had some tv’s –Good selection of beers –Waiter was friendly Cons: –Weird/terrible comedy show going on in the back room that you could hear from bar area –Tiny portion size(wings were served on a side plate) –Overpriced for what it was –They didn’t have happy hour at the time(it was like 6:30 or 7 on a weekday). However, looks like that has since changed –Burger and pizza were mediocre at best –Waiter was a bit too personal. Came off a little creepy –Poor atmosphere –Depressing crowd When I go out, I like to enjoy the place I am at and want to be there. Otherwise, i would just eat/drink at home. Unfortunately, never got that feeling while I was here.

Great Neighborhood Bar. We went there one evening for burgers and beers when we visited our old«Beverly Hood». The place was busy and had stand up comedy. The owner Eden was really nice. The beer selection was impressive and we got to taste a few of them. When burgers got there they did not disappoint at all, we loved them. The meat was of great quality and the preparation was tasty! If you are in the hood do drop by there, people and the place is nice to spend laid back time and have some beers.

My bad luck in LA pointed me in the direction of this gem! My friend and I ventured to LA on a Sunday via Metrolink and bike to enjoy a sunny California Sunday. After pedaling 7 miles uphill to redeem a Groupon at a local watering hole we quickly had our high hopes deflated by a locked door. On to the next Groupon! After a search for nearby places that had Groupon deals we found BrewDog Pub. The two ladies who opened in the morning were awesome and friendly. If I’m not mistaken I believe one of them was the owner but she didn’t flat out say that. She was extremely knowledgeable about the beer on tap and had great recommendations for beers we may enjoy once she heard the different types we normally drink. She even made our burgers!!! But more of that a bit later. Some of the beer on tap is local that you won’t find in most places. I wish I would’ve taken note of the unique drinks on tap or at least a picture of them. My bad on that. The Groupon came with a burger for each of us and the bartender was kind enough to throw in some fries to fuel our bodies for our bike ride home. The fries were really good. Unlike most«sports bar-esque» places where the fries come out greasy these were not. Nice crispy shoe string style fries with a side of chipotle mayo. The burger patty was your basic premade patty but it had flavor beyond your standard institutionalized burger. It had nice grill flavor with just enough seasoning. The burger was topped off with a nice bunch of mixed greens and fresh tomato slice with your standard slice of American cheese atop the patty. They also have music there at night but I’m not sure the exact days. I know one of the girls working the bar was actually playing and singing that Sunday night but not sure if that’s a weekly thing. Once football comes around I think it would be fun to get down here early and snag a seat at the bar and have some drinks, watch some football and discuss the great beer on tap with whomever is behind the bar.

Had the $ 40 for $ 20 Living Social deal. Came in on a Friday early evening. Place was pretty much empty. Like most other reviewers, I really want to like this place and hope it works out. Everyone(especially our server Jack) was very friendly and welcoming. There is lot parking(huge plus), great beer selection and the prices are super reasonable. But they need to do some work. The food is not very good. The fried zucchini was nothing spectacular. The shrimp tacos were not tasty. The pizza was the best thing we had and it was still just OK. More disturbing, for a very slow place, the ladies room needed some cleaning. Trash was spilling onto the floor and in general it just wasn’t clean. Not acceptable for any restaurant but not even understandable when the place isn’t busy. Fix this please. Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed ourselves. A little more attention to the food and little things like clean bathrooms and this place could be a winner.
