We went for dessert with friends and ordered a few items for the table, so we could each try a few different items. The chocolate cigar was delicious– sort of a combination of a baklava and chocolate pastry! When life hands you lemons, don’t make lemonade– order the lemon merengue pie! Best dessert on the menu! Those merengue peaks were whipped to perfection! The only disappointment was the cheesecake as it used to be lemony and light, but the recipe must have changed as that wasn’t as good as I remember!

The parking lot for this diner is always full so I was eager to give it another shot. I recently went back and had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. The meal starts with a plate of slaw and pickles which were both very tasty. The burger soon followed and it was thick and(somewhat) juicy served with 3 nice size strips of bacon and a plethora of lettuce and tomato. The fries had a good crunch… Overall the meal was good and the service was fast and friendly. Would come back.

This place always puts up with my drunk friends and I when we stumble in at 2 am on the weekends after a night of mayhem on Main Street in Farmingdale. They’re late-night breakfast is the bomb. Anything here is always delish. It’s open 24-hours so it’s my go-to for any late night diner binge.

I brought my mom her for a late afternoon meal. The waiter barely spoke English. We he brought our food, he knocked over a full glass of water in my lap. My pants were drenched. He never apologized. He handed me a few napkins and wiped the table. I had to call him back to mop the floor. He handed me the full bill. I called over the manager and he looked at my pants and said that is nothing. I told him there should have been a deduction on the bill. He laughed and walked away. I will NEVER, EVER come back here again.

This place has gone COMPLETELY down hill… I was told that there was a change of ownership. The last two times I have gone both my husband and I have gotten sick… Will not be returning!

Been coming here for years but things have gotten progressively worse each time I come. Service is slow and last time I went to eat there it was 10 minutes before our waitress even came to the table. It was a slow day so that was strange but it was even more strange that despite having next to nobody in the store our food took forever to get to the table. Finally when it did arrive my stack of pancakes was cold and my bacon was rock hard and disgusting. I wouldn’t have fed it to my dog. My wife’s omelette had overcooked sausage in it and my sons French toast didn’t have a lick of cinnamon and it was undercooked. We left before even getting started on our meal and when I complained to the hostess up front she looked like a tornado hit her and had no idea what to do. She didn’t even bother to apologize and had no ability to handle my complaint. The Greek manager with the horrific toupee heard me complain but didn’t even bother to turn to me and apologize because he is just as inept as his staff; go figure. Their waitresses are washed up and slow and their manager is more interested in sitting at the counter drinking coffe than doing his job, which really shows throughout the store. It takes more than just sitting people and handing out menus to be a good manager. I won’t be going back to this place it’s awful.

RUNFORYOURLIFE!!! Was there last night and made the mistake of NOTCHECKING Unilocal! Wife ordered a grilled chicken greek wrap… the chicken was all different pieces thrown together… a couple pieces were bluish in color!!! 1 piece looked like a chicken finger that had the breading removed is that makes any sense, and some other pieces looked ok… wife sent it back and refused to order anything else! Can you say E-coli? How about Salmonella??? Maybe the bird lost oxygen??? Why else would chicken be blue??? NEEEEEEVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAGAIN! Pray before you EAT! my chicken salad wrap was the basic out of the tub verity… blah…

This is our favorite Long Island Diner. We eat there frequently. Food is consistently good, and the staff is fantastic. They greet regulars like old friends, and always remember what you like. Highly recommend this Diner.

Been coming here for years, but it seems like it’s never consistent… Sometimes it’s good sometime really bad. I’ve had great meals here and other times some items tasted practically expired.

To be perfectly honest the best thing about this diner is the fact that they’re open 24-hours a day. I usually order the same thing(French Onion soup — which is pretty good), but the times I have ordered anything different, mostly breakfast items such as an omelet, I have regretted it. Besides the food being mediocre, the service is subpar as well. If you do happen to get a server who actually knows the menu and different options, often times they look miserable and don’t even try to be welcoming. Welp, even still, I drop in every once in a while. Hours & location are undeniably convenient :-/

Came here last week for a quick bite. It was late afternoon and I was craving breakfast food so we stopped by after a grocery run. Diner is pretty big and spacious with plenty of shiny booths. Dessert is displayed in a clean case visible upon entering the establishment. The place was decked out for the holidays which was cute. Service was less than stellar. Waitress was rather curt. The table we were seated at was still kind of dirty, with empty creamer and sugar packets from the previous patron still on it. I’ve dined at places with questionable cleanliness and subpar service before(Chinatown)but the food usually makes up for it being delicious, cheap or both. Not so much in this case. CG had an order of french onion soup to start and then we both ordered omelettes. The soup came out pretty fast — cheese was barely melted on top. What? Omelettes came out shortly after. Decent size but it was just passable. I’ve had way better. All the veggies were of extreme varying sizes. The toast was cold! Bottom line, I could have made it better on my own. I’ve had incredible experiences at diners and this was not one of them. Won’t be returning.

Unfortunately I read Dennis U. review of this place after I ate here and I was nearly crying from Laughter. I couldn’t agree more with his review. I had a greek omelette and it was one of the worst things I ever ate in my life. A greek omelette is supposed to be eggs, spinach and feta cheese. This omelette smelt of some weird concoction pickle juice, onion and strong garlic taste. TOTALLYGROSS! Even the toast was bad! I had rye toast with butter it was unreasonably thick and barely toasted the the butter wasn’t melted. It was like swallowing a lump of coal, Gross!!! Their Coffee is Quaker State Motor Oil, Yikes, what a terrible experience! I do believe they may of used the same concoction used in a spinach pie or something. I spent the whole day in the bathroom after eating this omelette, I was sick to my stomach. If you have any enemies in your life send them to the Embassy Diner for a Greek Omelette.

Food was very blah. Had chicken gumbo with no chicken and it was bland. Ordered tuna salad platter with no mayo. Took them 3 times to get the no mayo part. Came with unripe tomatoes and shredded lettuce that was brown. My wife got eggs. Hash browns were not cooked well. Will not return.

Sad excuse for diner. Went with a party of 7 at 10:30PM on a Friday night. They weren’t packed to the gills. We has people order dinner, some just dessert. Why serve a ice cream shake so quick that it was finished before the meals were served? I ordered a cappuccino that came AFTER everyone got their dinner. It was ice cold. Asked for a replacement. It was cold too. I mean that I could sink my fingers into it. It was warm at the bottom. I sent it back. Was it too hard to put some ice into the water glasses instead of serving warm water. The dinners came with French fries that got pulled from fryer just when they started to cook. Cold, limp, barely cooked when served.

I went here last Saturday for lunch with my girlfriend and I wasn’t impressed. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. I have been here before it was ok but this time things were pretty bad. To start the Menu was a mess. Literally the Menu is an unorganized mess lol. It is hard to find items like at a traditional diner. It was just all over the place and everything is in the wrong order. The other problem with the menu is that it was actually filthy. My girlfriend opened her menu and found a napkin squished between it. The napkin was covered in coffee, syrup and ketchup. I opened my menu and found several French fries squished between it. It was pretty disgusting. The booth was also quite dirty as well. There were opened sugar packets all over and it was sticky. The Cole slaw and pickles weren’t bad. We got an order of Mozzarella sticks that were ok. We also both got Panninis that weren’t that good. The pannini section was one of the few areas on the Menu we could clearly see. I had heard great things about this diner and after this experience I was let down and won’t be back again

Lousy experience all around. We met up with a group for dinner here. Problems right from the start. The breadbasket had burnt rolls. Next the soup was cold! A most serious offense to a Jew. Then my wife’s lemon sole which really was tilapia, was cooked to hell. So dried out you couldn’t cut it with a fork. We sent it back! Sides of veggies were old and cold. Mashed potato looked like a tub of wall spackle. Thought it was best I didn’t try it. My moussaka was average at best and they gave me enough of it to have leftovers into next week. Desserts were not much to get excited about either Chocolate Mousse & Cheesecake were cafeteria quality. We would not return.
