Such a shame… the shop has such beautiful and unique designs, but the sales person today — March 19th in the late afternoon — made me wish I never stepped foot inside the door. The sales rep was tactless and nasty after muttering only but a few words to her. It’s 2013 — there is no need to be presumptuous and pretentious — for you never know who is your customer. It could be a customer or an investor wanting to make a big purchase.

I saw this cute little place last Sat. after scoring an exceedingly rare, rare Berkeley parking spot and heading to my lunch destination. I knew I had to stop by after glimpsing the eye candy in the store window display. I’m completely unfamiliar w/clothing boutiques in Berkeley, as I don’t make it over to the E. Bay much at all. I really like the elegant lines, classic drapey shapes, casual and flattering structure of much of the clothing in this store. Love the on-trend and classic colors, too. The pretty saleslady was so nice, it took me off guard. I had to leave the store to use the restroom and she held onto the merch. I wanted to try on. I bought a black top/sweater that I know I’m going to wear a great deal, for the extremely flattering style that makes me look thinner! I also bought my new favorite white button-down blouse, which is swingy, sassy and has the type of detailing that I love. Under $ 120 each for the 2 lovely tops I bought. When I make clothing sketches and have in my mind’s eye what I like and then find similar goods in a store, I am SUPER-pleased, and that was the case here! The saleslady was positive, and offered good advice when I asked for it. I felt very comfortable here, despite being in my hiking clothes and looking ragged. No prententiousness here! The prices are decent for what you get. The store’s size is fine for moving around comfortably w/several other shoppers present. I’ll be back!

Incredibly beautiful, creative windows that are always worth a good long study. Beautiful fabrics, witty designs, and some amusingly bizarre skirts and trousers.(I just might have to return for that patterned contorted tube skirt.) And the occasional must-have-at-any-cost top or jacket.

i find molly b way over priced. the recent employee working on vine street is not helpful. if a person really looks around they can get the same clothing for cheaper. the service is not worth the prices. the dog has got to go, plus the no return policy. i will not shop there for the holidays. plato

Great boutique. Unique, though pricey items. Love to shop here in the fall. Great hats, scarves and gloves that are bonafide show stoppers. Rich colors and fabrics. Quality all the way. Jewelry is great too, I have purchased many pieces by one of the ladies who works there, lovely. Great service with no pushy clerks at both locations.

Location: I prefer the Vine St. Molly B.‘s to the one on Fourth for several reasons. First, it has more room. Second, people seem less stressed and [slightly] less pretentious around here. Goods: Stuff that ranges from comfortable I’m-From-Berkeley clothes to elegant I’m-From-Berkeley clothes, all pretty unique. Nice fabrics. They remind me a teensy bit of Santa Monica’s Citron, if that tells you anything. My mother vacillates between begging that we stop here when she’s in town and begging me to keep her away for fear of throwing our budgets out the proverbial window. BTW check out Cheese Board Pizza’s jazz while you’re in the neighborhood…

Fabulous. Everything is fabulous and the best window dresser does these, too.
