My kinda clothes :) My kind of colors :) I have to say, I was quite impressed with my first experience here at Jigsaw, and am a bit shocked to see all the negative reviews. I came here after work, after eyeing a few beautiful pieces while walking by on a lunch break from work one day. They seem to offer an array of delicately, beautiful pieces; along with some gorgeous emerald and jewel tone colors that you don’t encounter often unfortunately. They maybe a bit pricey, however nothing outrageous– especially considering the quality that it seemed to exude and feel. I got a few beautiful little shirts, that I know was a good investment. The young girl working here this day, was also extremely welcoming and friendly. So far, so good. I will certainly be making my way back in here again.

I’m surprised to see the complaints about the manager of the Berkeley store. Every time I’ve been in here I’ve experienced the staff as helpful and polite, so maybe I haven’t encountered this particular manager. I love the clothes –many of my work clothes come from here and are really good quality which is not my experience with Anthropologie. I find that the styles are flattering and not shapeless as mentioned by another reviewer. If you catch a sale, the prices are incredibly reasonable.

I have to agree the manager is a snob with a poor attitude and really why is that? She is a sales clerk which last time I checked was not too hard of a job. Regardless, poor clothing choice, ridiculous return policy(not allowed to return an unused item still selling for full price one day after the 30-day return policy), and rude/disinterested sales help. If I want rude sales people I will go to Paris not Berkeley. I give this store another year before it closes…

This is a neat store, they have really interesting stuff & you can be assured that you are not going to look like everyone else. I have a ton of clothes & I can always find something new and different each time I visit. In addition to clothes, they also carry a limited line of boots/shoes, belts, jewlery.

I’m sorry to say this store earns a poor rating from me for customer service. I purchased a soft leather messenger bag as a gift. It was pricey and gorgeous. After a month of non-daily use, it was clear that the leather was beginning to tear seriously where the outside pocket was attached. I took the obviously defective bag back today, only to hear that I had purchased it too long ago(mid-May) to receive a refund or store credit in August. They said they hadn’t had any problem with that particular style(so it was my fault?). They offered to see if they could have it repaired, but wouldn’t guarantee it. My strong feeling was that the soft leather would continue to be a problem for a bag with such a beefy design. I got the dumb stare from a salesgirl who had interrupted our discussion to wait on a paying customer. I guess the $ 300+ I’d already spent was chopped liver. I don’t know what a store like Jigsaw loses when an item like mine is returned for a credit(which I would have gladly taken), and I don’t think losing my business is going to make a difference to them. But I think for a store to turn away an obviously dissatisfied customer stinks. I’ll take Nordstrom.

Cute mostly cotton clothing and a large selection to boot. Sales people were very friendly — almost overly friendly– and helpful. Prices are moderate — I’ve definitely seen more expensive and lower quality garb in Banana. Their tops run large and they seemed to only carry medium, large and extra large of a lot of things I wanted to try on which was annoying. Maybe the XS and smalls were all snatched up? But its worth asking, they had a skirt I wanted to try on in a smaller size in the back.

Thanks for bringing a bit of London style across the pond! Prices are what you expect — a bit high — but you can definitely pick up a few«investment» pieces while you’re here. From skirts to cardigans, hats to scarves, this place rocks. The staff are really sweet and I can’t wait to wear my new clothes to work. Unlike shopping at the ubiquitous stores like Anthropologie and J. Crew, you won’t fear your coworkers or passerbyers wearing the same stuff as you when you shop at Jigsaw.

I have walked by this store many times with no interest. but one item caught my eye so I stepped in the other day. I would say this is a cross between an Anthropologie and J. Crew…I can’t explain it. but the clothes are shapeless and dull. They have have some cute accessories but they aren’t like statement pieces or anything… I would say the prices are moderate. The sales girl I encountered was nice and honest. she seemed young and pretty mellow. No pressure and was informative. However, it seems like the manager(she must of, she was digging through the binders and documents) was a big snob. I was just asking a few questions and she seemed annoyed. I don’t understand the why small boutiques and snobs go hand in hand… I just have one thing to say: you should do your job and sell clothes to everyone to walk in.
