I generally don’t shop here — — I’m more of a vintage/second hand fan. But the fabrics and styles of their dresses kill me every time. The ladies that work here are the sweetest ever — — Extremely helpful and go out of their way to grab that one extra thing from the back. I prefer this shop over SF — — thank you ladies for all your help.

So. I love anthropology, this is my first time at this location — spending time in Berkeley to relax. I’ve been in this store for 30 minutes and I have clothes in my hands to purchase. There has been several employees walking around and in front of me… Even tidying up a section I was shopping in and not one… NOTONE employee said a word — not a word to me. I must say this is the worst customer service I’ve seen in an anthropology. Sad.

Anthropologies are not like McDonalds. Each one is different and this one is by far my favorite. This store is spacious, with high ceilings, a ton of natural light and a lot of great stores nearby to make for a fun and full day of shopping. Parking is relatively easy to find(except on weekend afternoons) and the staff, for the most part, are friendly and approachable. If I ever move away, this will always be my favorite Anthro outpost!

I’ve only gone to this store for exchages of well-meaning birthday gifts and for finding very specific wishlist items for others. This is not a store I would enter without a clear goal. First, it is expensive, and even discounted it is out of my price range. Second, the people who work there, while perfectly pleasant, are so «relaxed» that I’ve wondered if their break room includes a sauna and massages. Third, the people who stand in line annoy me(directly related to first point and increased by second point). However, their products are lovely, and I am always secretly happy to get a gift from there so I can exchange for something else.

Anthros are like McDonald’s; the same wherever you go. This one is never crowded though, and the people who work here are eager to help. They once let me exchange a dress without a receipt because I «unwrapped» it and couldn’t figure out how to put it back together.(Don’t even get me started on their stupid«crosswrap dress.») Of course, I screwed up the new one after wearing it once, but fool me once… should’ve asked for store credit. The displays here are really well executed and I sometimes take pics for inspiration for my own place. Good job.

Love the products in Anthro… Hate the prices and the mediocre customer service at this particular location. Was looking at items on the sale rack and an associate came towards the end of the same rack and shuffled clothes together. No «hi», «how are you», nothing. They carry the cutest home items, cosmetics, candles, and books. Location is pretty big and inventory well stocked. May have to check out other locations to compare the customer service before I make a generalization. To be continued…

Oh, please let me win the lottery so that I can buy more than 1 piece of clothing from this store per year. And the only reason I buy once per year is because of my birthday coupon! The clothes are always so cute and unique with a shabby chic but also modern hippy style. LOVELOVELOVE what they have to offer, if only it wasn’t so expensive! And the staff from this store are all so nice and accommodating. I ended up buying the cutest bohemian purple loose top that goes well with black knits or skinny jeans. LOVELOVELOVE! Unless I win the lottery, until next year, I’ll be able to pick up another piece for me and my closet :)
