Their chat and phone people are so very friendly when I call to tell them that my brand-new fridge from day one doesn’t get safely cold(a little cold, not just enough to keep my food from spoiling). They very helpfully arranged for the repair folks to come out and replace a few parts. They were still friendly when they told me that they’re sorry my fridge still doesn’t work; that I’ll have to go through two more repair attempts before I can ask for an exchange or refund. I’m starting to investigate my legal rights since there’s something called an «implied warranty of merchantability» which I think means they don’t get to dictate to me my rights if they sell me something defective.

Do NOT buy Whirlpool!!! My washer stopped working 3 weeks ago & is still under warranty. Whirlpool sent 2 technicians to my house both of them said the washer had to be replaced. Whirlpool has decided to fix it, which could take 1 – 3 months(the tech told whirlpool this as I was there for the entire conversation). Why would they send a tech(in my case 2) if they don’t care about their opinion? How do they expect a customer to be 1 – 3 months without a washer; I have 3 teenage boys in my house… THANKSWHIRLPOOL!

I also would give Whirlpool zero stars if it was an option. Purchased a washer & dryer from Grants right before they closed. The whirlpool dryer has been serviced a half dozen times and I’m always told the problem is the way the vent is designed in my home. I had a dryer before the whirlpool for 15 years and never had one single problem. The whirlpool washer fills up completely on a small load. On a large load ad the rinse cycle fills half way and our clothes do not rinse properly, always full of soap. Service has been out & tells me it’s designed that way to save water or as the repair guy said to be «green.» I’ve called corporate several times with no resolution. I sent a letter to the ceo & recrived no response. I’m so done with whirlpool. I’m purchasing a new kitchen suite and will not purchase anything that is made by whirlpool. I would not recommend buying anything from this company they produce terrible products & customer service is even worse.

Please save your money — this company is putting out shoddy product and I urge you to really do your research — we purchased one of their under the counter microwaves — it on average only got used for the last 6 yrs for 4 – 5 months a year, 1 – 3 times per month max. I’m not a big user– well it broke — so I called the corp head quarters in Benton Michigan as a product that used this minimally should last longer then that. 1st time I was hung up on and today after speaking with«corporate assistant” — when you call they direct all of their complaint calls to these corporate assistant who supposedly are working with the corporate CEO– the only thing that they wanted to do for me was give me a link to their website and give me a discount on a new one– which where priced the same amount or more then what I purchased it for. Do the math folks — it was used only 60 times since purchase. So much for quality.

Whirlpool 50 gallon hot water heater Gas with 12 year warranty – beware! Whirlpool has one repair facility in Dallas area and the place said they were going on vacation and couldn’t come for two weeks. No parts available from anyone in DFW metroplex. I told their service number we’re 6th or 7th largest metroplex in country and can’t get service? Crazy. Also, unit makes huge clunking and banging noises and they said nothing they can do. Probably just different pressure in pipes. It’s so loud you’d think someone’s breaking in. I called Lowe’s to complain as that’s where we bought it and they said they just sell them but don’t service. My local plumber said next time get Rheem as everyone services them.

I have a 4 year old Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer that has required extensive repairs. After writing to Whirlpool and speaking with them on the phone, they offered me an extended warranty for $ 350 per year. At that rate, to get any satisfaction regarding the repairs would have cost $ 1400 up to now beyond the lousy one year warranty that came with the appliance. How’s that for playing Russian roulette? The phone rep allowed as how sometimes one gets a «lemon»! Whirlpool is total junk. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance

We’ve been without a washing machine since Oct. 27, 2015 due to a series of break downs, failed attempts at repairs, and customer no-service. Our case is being referred to a committee who will decide, in the next 5 – 7 days, if we qualify(have we suffered enough yet) for a replacement. If we do get a new one, it will take at least 6 weeks for delivery because the Whirlpool machine is made over seas. We bought the machine new in April 2015. I’d give them a zero if that were an option

If there was a NO star rating you would receive it! I am almost 60, had many products over the years but the whirlpool dishwasher by far is the worst ever. It is 7 months old, never worked, no one wants to service it. Also, it isn’t service able. I want it returned and a refund. Plus, my extended warrenty refunded. No one the guy talked me into the extended the first month I had the product.

12.25.2015. I received a call from Whirlpool who is going to take the stove back and refund my money. I apprreaciate the call and prompt attention to this issue. I purchased a stove range made by Whirlpool. The glass door on the stove range gets extremely hot. I contacted the store and they contacted Whirlpool. I was told that Whirlpool advised them they would not fix or replace the stove even though it is still under warranty so I called myself and ask them to fix or replace this faulty product. I myself can get burn on the glass door if I accidentally touch it.

I recently bought a new washing machine. My previous machine was a Whirlpool. It worked well for years and years and when it finally broke down I therefore thought a new Whirlpool machine would be of equal quality. My washing machine is in my basement. I am 75 years old. At least 60% of the time in order to wash my clothes I have to bring several buckets full of water from my kitchen sink, down the stairs to put into the machine because half the clothes are dry when the machine begins washing. I don’t EVER put in a full wash anymore. The machine right now is a quarter full and I had to bring down 4 buckets to have enough water. Down the stairs with buckets again for the rinse cycle. This is normal for these machines from what I’ve read and have been told by a repairman. Horrible product. I now wash anything delicate by hand because several items have been mangled already. If the government regulates this energy efficient«low water» requirement, the responsible lawmakers should all be required to wash their clothes in my machine!!! I’m sure the law would quickly change. «LOW-EFFICIENCYNO-WATERWASHER»

I received a delivery that weekend and the fridge and microwave were damaged. And this went on and on and on. I finally received all my appliances on 10÷3÷15 undamaged. WORSTEXPERIENCEEVER!

Having serious health issues with both our washer and dryer. I believe there should be an urgency and more serious resolution. Our washing machine is getting clothes’s trapped and producing friction causing excessive and heavy smoke from the drum. Our dryer has a random bolt/screw in the drum that catches and tears clothes. Although this doesn’t happen on every cycle it happens enough that it should be investigated, repaired and reported to Health Canada. I contacted Whirpool on September 15th2015 with my concerns. Purchased a French Door refrigerator 7÷29÷15. From day 1, the cheap plastic lid for the full width drawer kept popping off. Didn’t call Whirlpool until the middle of September, 2015. Repairman cam out and said the plastic lid was warped and he would order a new one. Repairman called back the next day and said the claim was denied by Whirlpool because I didn’t call within 30 days. He suggested I call Whirlpool back. Called them back and wasted another 15 – 20 minutes on the phone and the customer servant said he would«waive» the denial. That was big of him since the warranty is one year. Terrible warranty service from Whirlpool. Just shocked they would not repair something that is defective.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer($ 1700/pair) and have had nothing but trouble with the washer ever since. First the mother board went out($ 350.) Shortly after the washer would go out of balance regardless of what you put in it. It takes more than 2 ½ hours to complete a load since you have to open the lid and rearrange the clothes every few minutes. I wouldn’t buy another Whirlpool product if my life depended on it. Absolute junk! Stay away from their products. I’d give it LESS than one star if they allowed it.

I have had whirlpool appliances of their many brands through the years, I replaced my coin operated washers and dryers about 18 months ago. The new product are horrible not only have I had multiple service calls in each and every one of them and I have 12 of them but on a particular washer they can’t fix, they have raced the same part over 6 times and now going on 2 months with angry tenants and still cannot be fixed. I can’t even get a callback from a supervisor at whirlpool after more than a dozen calls. The authorized service local representative flamingo appliances calls their tech center and they get no results. I would not buy there products ever again and it advise anyone to think twice before you spend $ 800 on each appliance.

Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer in 2008. Numerous problems arose including the entire top rim of the tub rusted out; struts became defective; drain pump failed twice. Finally had to replace the unit with a discounted new machine in a deal worked out with Whirlpool Customer Service. Received the new machine in December of 2014 at a cost of $ 316.14. Already by July of 2015 major repairs have been required. All bearings, stator and rotor had to be replaced. This company produces junk. I will never again buy Whirlpool or any of its subsidiary products.

I owned a whirlpool refrigerator and have been ordering filters from whirlpool. I recently moved out of the area so the shipment was sent to my old address where it was returned to them. Through the confusion and major hassles I overlooked that the money was taken out of my account and I didn’t receive the filters until I noticed a second debit to my account recently. I checked back and noticed they didn’t refund the first order and we’re still sending the filters to the old address. I called customer service who refused to refund the original purchase. They lost a customer for their lousy service.

My wife and I purchased our new home in November 2014. The house was a foreclosure and therefore owned by a title company who gutted the home and installed all new appliances. Less than a year of ownership, the ice maker on the side by side fridge broke after normal use. Not having proof of purchased, I appealed to Whirlpool given the nature of my situation. They did NOTHING but try and sell me a new service agreement they offer to have it fixed. They cared little about my brand loyalty, situation or circumstances — all they wanted was to make more money off of the consumer. What ever happened to companies being accountable for the products they produce? What ever happened to companies wanting to do the right thing in order to retain loyal customers and increase satisfied word of mouth? Stay clear of Whirlpool… they’re only out for themselves.

Quality now total garbage. My kitchen aid, made by whirlpool, had a defective drain plug on this model. Company knew it but didn’t issue a recall or customer notice. Cost $ 290 to fix. Today new ice maker for a refrigerator that’s 26 months old, another $ 241. I’m done with whirlpool, I just have to make sure that whatever I buy next is not one of their many brands or a company that buys parts from them.

Bought two sets of washer/dryers($ 1,700 per pair) for two different properties. Was offered a $ 100 rebate for each pair. I submitted the rebate forms and invoices on line, clearly showing the two different properties. I used the same mailing address for the rebates. After hearing nothing I called. I was told I had violated the terms of their offer by using the same address and I would not be getting a rebate. I was told they could not fix the address for me on one to resolve it and I could not re-submit because the 30 day time had passed. You get no rebate sir! Kristin, the supervisor at the rebate center I spoke to was so not helpful. Any honorable company would just take care of this, but clearly their mission is not to pay what they promised if they can find any way to do so. They do not respond in any way until your 30 days runs out. Oh. and the first washer I bought failed after it’s second use. I will never buy another Whirlpool product of any kind, nor will anyone I know that I am able to talk to first! And I have lots of rental properties. I hope it was worth the $ 100 to them.
