Big Heads of Bensalem

This is a good spot if you wanna chill with friends and dance to good music. However, you are able to smoke inside (not sure why) so by time you get home your pores hate you and you wreak of cigarettes. Variety of people and music and the drink prices are great.

The staff here are very unprofessional and very trashy. I would not recommend going here unless you enjoy being surrounded by people with no class and employees that treat you like a second class citizen. If I could give no stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and find a different place to hang out. The bartenders all stood up on the bar and had the dj take a picture of everyone giving the middle finger and sent it to me… Talking about no class.

You can’t even hear yourself think in this place, can’t breathe from the smoke, and bartenders ignore you, overcharge, or take forever to get back to you.
If you’re looking for a convenient bar, go right ahead, but be prepared for the trash it comes with, cuz this place is basically a dump.

I don’t know. Hah. I was kind of stuck on what I wanted to review this place because it seemed like there were two different atmospheres that I managed to experience. I don’t drink anymore, but once in awhile I go out just to socialize with some friends. So as far as rating the drinks, I can’t really chime in on that. Even when I was drinking, I had only been to this place one time.
When I got there, it was pretty chill. There wasn’t any music playing and there were just random people strewn about the bar. So I can see it being a decent place to sit and maybe have a few with some friends earlier in the evening.
It appeared to me that I had arrived on beer pong night. Out of nowhere, it got real dark and real loud. The place quickly got packed and for the first time in a long time, I felt like the oldest person in the room. Hah! Everyone seemed to be having a good time though. It seems to be a night spot for freshly boarded legal drinkers. Bartenders were cool about me just drinking water the whole time I was there. Pool tables are always a plus. It is a smoking bar, so I did leave smelling pretty bad. I even woke up this morning feeling like I smoked a pack of cigarettes. Oh well. But when I was a smoker and drinker, I did enjoy places that let me smoke inside still, so I’m sure you would too!

I’m sorry that Elizabeth had such a terrible impression of the place. I’ve been coming in for the past two years regularly, and never had an issue with any of the bartenders. If you’re looking for linens on the tables, classic cocktails, or overpriced craft beers… this is probably not the place you’re looking for. However, it is the perfect neighborhood «dive» bar to chill with buddies or catch a game. Great prices, great atmosphere, and a lot of fun. Again, sorry she had a «horrible, horrible» experience, but sounds like someone shouldn’t get anymore salt on that margarita. SALTYYYYYYY.

How this place has any stars is mind blowing to me. Glad to see they finally allow more than just tips on Unilocal for this horrible establishment. Be prepared to walk into a cloud of smoke, have the bartenders steal your money, and then get kicked out for asking for your correct change back. This place is a dumpster. HORRIBLE horrible place.

This is a great bar to chill with few buddy’s have some drinks and just have a good time. But if you don’t like to smell like cigarette smoke. Then don’t come. Many bars in the Bensalem area still have smoking inside. I’m a none smoker and still go in because don’t bother me that much.
Many specials on alcohol. It’s a big place with dancing and pool table. It’s pretty open to move around. With alot of seating places. If you want food many nights the kitchen will be open. But only really serving, wings, fries, chicken fingers. On some nights. It’s a clean place to hang. With some times live music.
If you are looking to get beer for take out. many refrigerators lined up with all kind of different alcoholic beverages, even some wine coolers, etc,

I was here twice in one day. Once during the day for a really random beer and later on that night for a view of the nightlife.
The good: they have specials on everything everyday of the week. Ranging from $ 3 shots of Jameson and Smirnoff and $ 2.25 bottles of Miller High Life bottles to special on car bombs, captain cokes, etc.
This bar is HUGE. Standard sized pool tables, boxing games and updated jukebox. Also MegaTouch on the bar. Mixed local crowd, nothing too rowdy. I saw people eating food so I’ll assume that food is served. The usual overpriced takeout beer is served here too.
The bad: it took the bartenders nearly five minutes to realize or recognize us sitting at the bar. So finally one of the female bartenders asked What we wanted to have. We ordered the $ 3 Jameson shots. She walks away and was preparing to cash out for the day. When we called her back over for beers she kinda grimaced and made a gesture that she wasn’t our bartender. Which made no sense being that she got our first round. So the male bartender got us the $ 2.25 Miller High Life Drafts. Cheap day at the bar.
On to the night scene here. we left earlier around 7pm and came back around 11ish. Proper identification was checked at the door by security.

The bartenders UNDER pour like a mother… seriously. I’ve NEVER seen such horrible pours for drinks. I am a licenced bartender so I can be a bit critical BUT a bad pour is just a bad pour. Most drinks are on «special «but the rum n coke is all coke and splash of liquor. At first we thought maybe it was just the bartender, but we noticed all the bartenders poured the exact same way. Don’t give me a $ 3 COKE. Period. You’re better off just ordering straight shots with no mixers at all. I like this bar but I’d never order a drink at regular price. Ever. You may think you’re getting a deal with all the specials going on but you’re spending more money at the bar buying more drinks because There’s no liquor in them
Their credit card system looks a bit shady. I don’t use credit cards at bars at night because they’re typically super busy and can easily make a mistake on a card. I watched as a patron was cashing out and had an issue because the bartender literally had a dozen cards in her hands and could barely see the names on them. The cards were left in plain sight where anyone close enough could see and possibly even swipe into their own pockets. I just think they should have a better policy with keeping people’s credit card information in a safer place.
On another good note, the DJ plays pretty decent music. Something for everyone.
