Michael’s Café is very much still open! Had a great time with friends and the dj is still awesome! If you are looking for a fun night out and don’t want to go into the city this is the place!

I really miss this place, wish they didn’t close it down. It was a nice mix of ages, ethnicities, and music genres. Kinda felt like what a disco may have felt like(even though I wasn’t alive in that Era). They really need to open a new location or something in the NE/Bensalem area.

Sorry jealous little girls! No «cougars» here: Great for people over 30 who love great music, and love to dance. I have met some amazing women here(who happen to be over 50) and I am a silver male fox –so– sorry little girls– you really are not the pilots on lifes airline.

I have not been here for awhile but on this Friday night it’s 12am and there are only 2 other people here. What a disappointment. Its because they looked like they are closed .It’s dark from the outside and people drive up and think it’s closed and leave. They should invest in fixing the lighting and signs and improving the effort. I came from another state and made a point to stay over so I could come out and have a fun time. I won’t make the effort sad.

So my boyfriend and our friends call this place the WRINKLEROOM, because everyone that goes in age is well up there! Lol there is one Asian men that breaks it down on the dance floor. There are prostitutes here at night on Saturdays, I’ve seen plenty of blowys in the parking lot cars and $ exchanges. This place is fun to people watch there are all walks of life in this establishment. Fun place I’ve been 5 – 6 times total and always have a good time.

Let me stand by the original review this place is just pure gross after 3 friends in a row wanted to go for their birthdays I told them for my birthday I was taking them all to the ob//gyn same amount of fun. If you stay till 2 you can see how nasty it really is inside the walls are gross the booths are gross. We all deserve a fun night out but I don’t need a 97 year hitting on me … Michaels is good for music and the dance floor! The rest if just a freak show

Bartender told me I had to move because someone reserved a seat at the bar. this was after this lady stared me down for about 5 minutes. meanwhile though, there were more seats on the other side. The lady apparently wanted my specific seat. horrible. I felt so offended. Never again. Disgusted with this place. Never have I ever heard of someone RESERVING a chair ATTHEBAR.

Oh boy, Michael’s Café. Believe it or not I’ve had some great nights here, despite being twenty years younger than most of the crowd. In fact, maybe that’s what made it so great. I hear that this place used to be a big meat market for those looking to hook up, but I get the feeling these days it’s mostly for those looking to dance their problems away and get some drinks in them. It’s pretty big inside, but even on the weekends the building rarely fills up. Everyone seems to just hang out near the dance floor, and even that area is seldom truly packed. I usually use the first bar on the right hand side when you walk in, since few people are ever there and you get served right away. Their Long Island iced teas are nice and strong, and for the past year they’ve had 2 dollar shot specials. I’m pretty sure their shots come from a pre made bottle but it’s all good. Dancing here is fun and mostly judgment free, it’s okay to not just grind on people like is all to common at most clubs. The dance floor is comprised of mostly women and it’s obvious why, this is a place that feels comfortable and inclusive. However there are some people who are, erm, off but I suppose that’s the way it is at all bars and clubs. Tons of cougars who always hit on my male friends, very few silver foxes though(sorry to report for those who like older men). A lot of fun if nothing else.

If you want a good laugh go here. Place is great for a few drinks and dancing. Overall not so bad as long as you don’t ask for a small glass of water, then you are REFUSEDSERVICE! If you questioned this you are rudely informed of a purchase bottle only policy. Also was told by bartender«Why would I serve you? You’re a fat ass!» lol I laugh only because I am 5’4″ and 125lbs. My girlfriends and I used to love coming here for fun and didn’t mind the ambitious $ 5 cover either. Overall, drinks are over priced and staff is inexcusibly offensive. Have fun!!!

The owners of Michael’s are geniuses! They made a lounge where there are PLENTY of bars(go to the one in the back for stronger drinks), good seating and just fun music. Because no matter the decade, good music is always good music and I belted out every single song the night I was there. As Max S. said, this is a place that takes a certain type of person to enjoy in the simple awesomeness of Ace of Base rocking on the speakers, 25 y/o looking for a cougar and the Asian Sensation grandpa breaking it down on the dance floor. The place is not ONLY for seniors, the crowd is actually very diverse in age and race, it’s just so RARE to find a place where this actually happens and people can co-habitate. The $ 10 cover will also get you the best seat in the house for awesome people watching. At one point I almost had my fiancé«break up» a fight a 65 y/o couple was having BC it looked like the guy was getting too aggressive with the lady… just kidding they started making out. It is certainly not the type of place you go on a first date, it’s more of a girls night, or tired of the regular club scene kind of place. I could actually come here every Saturday for the rest of my days and be quite content. Then again, I also was air«hooked» by a gay senior citizen guy who«reeled me» onto the dance floor.

Came for the Johnny O reunion thinking that there would be a more younger crowd, boy was I wrong. Don’t get me wrong I’m in my mid 40’s but this place makes me feel & look young. Its like walking into a 70’s porn. Nothing like 60 somethings in tightly wrapped polyester.

Well, I guess I could give Michaels as few as 1 star and as many as 5; it depends on your point of view. I’ve only been there on a Saturday, and no matter how many months hiatus I take, the same core of individuals are there upon my return. Average age is probably around 45, but plenty of 25’s and 65’s. I would imagine the 25’s are there for a laugh, and the 65’s are there with a weekend pass from the senior suites. Without question this is the most innocently bizarre place on earth. Decent dance music, late 70’s-early 80’s disco feel, slightly overpriced drinks, decent food, cougar city, meat market, wannabe dancers, etc. What a diverse crowd. A multicultural, multi-aged, etc. One has to experience it to believe it. It’s ALWAYS packed!

I’ve never been here for food so I can’t comment on that. This is a very different kind of Saturday night club. The crowd is very diverse(age and ethnicity) but tips towards an older crowd(40s, 50s). 20 somethings are far and few between. The music(mostly top 40) and people watching are great. The dance floor is huge and there are several bars. Ladies, you will never dance alone. You may not find the dance partner of your dreams, but you’ll have a dance partner. The cover charge is a nominal $ 5 and the line to get in leads right to the coat check which makes things easy.

Michael’s is just one of those places you have to go to. You don’t know why, I can’t even tell you why– but you just do. It ‘s so tacky and bad that it’s good. Its definitely more geared towards the 40 – 50 population. The music is outdated sometimes. Every once and a while they throw in a new song or two. Great beer specials(10 cups of beer for 20 bucks). never ate their food though so I cant judge that. Take a few shots, you won’t care about all of the balding men and the cougars.

Michael’s is like the proverbial train wreck that you can’t take your eyes off of. That being said, my group and I had a blast. The beer and music really take a back seat to the people watching. It is not uncommon to see the elderly, people with mullets, old women in booty shorts, or any combination thereof mixing it up with one another. It is hilarious. At 25 I’m pretty sure I was the youngest by three decades. I would put the median age at around 67. I didn’t have food, so I can’t speak to that. The bottled beer was a little overpriced for my liking($ 4 for a limey), but they were running a draft special at the time I was there. The shots were good. The DJ was also very good. The one problem I had with Michael’s was the litany of rules one must comply with in order to make it through the front door. On certain days of the week you can’t wear certain colors… and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Anyway, I will definitely be back the next time I need a little ego boost.

Wow. For the first five minutes, this was my overwhelming impression. And after 4 shots &4 rum’n’cokes… my opinion was still just Eesh. «Den of cougars» barely brushes the surface of a description of this place. Some of the women here dress like disco balls. Others will booty-bash /hip-check you on the dance floor if they’re feeling territorial… over the little old man breaking it Down for all the ladies. Then you’ve got some wannabe pimps, over-pierced trolls, and bad hair all around. I guess the music is O.K., but if my friends ever try to drag me here again I will decline or get my liquor on beforehand. Pretty sure those shots were nothing but sugar. And why on earth did we leave Philly to hit up this joint?

Went here Saturday night with a couple of coworkers. Got there about 9:45pm, and found a parking spot. Parking lot filled by 10:30pm. No cover, and you get wanded by security on the way in. Not a big deal, and it doesn’t hold up the line. Interior is beautiful and clean — wood dance floor, marble floors everywhere else, 5 separate bar sitting areas. They HAD to have subwoofers installed under the dance floor! You could feel the bass underneath your feet! They play all types of music, from 70s, 80s, and today, and they do mix it up. Clientele are DEFINITELY over 35, which is great by me, as I’m over 35 myself, lol. As others have said, it’s definitely a meat market! Other thing too is that there is no smoking, except outside. I’m not a smoker, so that’s a great thing for me! I really liked this place. From my impressions of this place, it’s definitely a gold mine. Met a few great people, got to dance a bit, and had a couple of drinks too! It’s right off the PA Turnpike, literally right up the street from the Parx Casino. I will be back, next time I’m in the area.
