I love this place! It’s clean, decorated nice, smells great and the service is top notch. As for the food, I’ve had breakfast there twice and it was excellent both times! Can’t wait to try lunch!

Huckleberry’s is a great place to go if you’re in the mood breakfast or lunch. Huckleberry’s is good food at a great price. Thank you and keep up the great service!

Yummy brunch. Biscuits are amazing, as well as the waffles. We also enjoyed the Mississippi scramble. Quick and friendly service.

Okay so we tried this place today because someone said they were good. Maybe because I’ve been to other breakfast place in the area, but this place doesn’t compare close to what I call Good. It’s Ok. 1) Coffee– Golds Peak, weak and watered down 2) Food — I ordered the breakfast special of pancakes, egg, bacon, sausage, bacon and hash brown. The egg and hash brown was not bad, but the pancakes(I don’t send back food but I wish I did) was on the chewy side, like the battery was missing some fluff. Sausage was fatty and the bacon was salty. The side fruit was cool though, I actually like it. What he ordered– Waffles and Chicken. Waffle was average but the chicken although juicy and crunchy was bland! I think they forgot to season??! 3) Service was pretty good and one of the 2 reason why I gave this place a 3 star 4) Price is competitive. Our total was less than $ 25 for our food and 2 coffee.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots! Very busy so be prepared to wait! Or go on a day that won’t be busy. Get the strawberry lemonade! I always order an omelette and custom make it!

Why 4 stars? Because this was a lovely breakfast. — — — This is why 4-star reviews were invented. This was definitely a solid/above-average experience, but also not something I’d tell visitors to the area that it’s imperative that they visit. I had an omelette, which might be part of the influence as to my 4-star score. I feel like every omelette I’ve ever had was 4-stars. There doesn’t seem to be much of a margin between the worst one and the best one that I’ve ever had. Something unique I was able to take away was the strawberry lemonade in a large mason jar, with the rim COVERED in sugar. If you say covered in sugar, I’m generally going to be ok with it, and this was no exception. I couldn’t get enough of it! Huckleberry’s is a cute place in a cute town. The food and service were both solid. It was Cracker Barrell-esque, and I enjoy me some Cracker Barrell.

Meh. The service was great! Servers were friendly and attentive. If I was just going for human interaction, they would get 5 starts, but we mostly went for food and the food was disappointing. Chicken with the chicken and waffle was under-seasoned and bland, almost flavorless, and the waffles were underdone and flabby. Waffles should be crispy and chicken should be flavorful, especially from a restaurant that calls itself southern or cajun. We tried the beignet, also, which were a little atypical(not as pillowy as I expect a beignet to be) and just okay. Had a very slight fishy taste like maybe they were cooked in the same oil as the catfish. I wanted to love this place and may give them another shot. It’s not really bad food, it’s just boring.

Great service! Waitress was really attentive. The food on the other hand was just eh. We ordered chicken and waffles. Though the waffles were good, the chicken was very bland. We came for Saturday brunch and the food took a bit long to get. It’s a bit pricey for a mediocre place.

Always busy on weekend. Wait staff works very hard, but chefs have a difficult time keeping up with any special requests. I asked for extra well done hash brown when I ordered, but received white soggy hash browns. The waitresses could have checked the food before delivery to the table, but that never happened. Might go back.

My boyfriend and I moved to Benicia about a month or so ago and we’ve already made this spot a Sunday tradition. Love the chicken and waffles! Get them every time. The breading on the chicken makes it so good. My boyfriend typically likes to try something different every week and has been overall pretty satisfied. Good food, good service, great prices. Can’t go wrong!

What a great breakfast place! The chicken fried steak was fluffy and the eggs perfect. I chose the hash browns which were light and crispy. The mile high biscuit was fluffy yet dense and so delicious! Service was outstanding food came out fast and was hands down the best I’ve had in a long time! Go here for breakfast you won’t be disappointed!!!

I love love love this place. Both me and my husband agree it’s our first choice breakfast place. Anything you order here will be sure to satisfy you. I absolute love the Beignets. I love the plain ones with powdered sugar. They are always so friendly here too. However if you want to try the beignets you better get their early or you will miss out! Plates are pretty generous and the price is great considering the quality and size. You just can’t go wrong with coming to this place for breakfast.

He summed it up best with his Check-Please-type observation: If we found ourselves hungry on that side of the bridge before 3pm someday, we might just return. Omelets that were great, mediocre cups of coffee that were filled often, country red potatoes that should be cubed half the size they are now, and huge soft, fluffy biscuits that they’ll add gravy to for free. Our 2 create-your-own 3-egg, 3-item omelet breakfasts + 2 drinks was $ 25.

I’d compare this place to Black Bear with a little bit more of a homey feel. I’m a little upset however(didn’t subtract stars for it because it was my fault) because they have a special that comes with either french toast or pancakes, hashbrowns, ham/sausage/or bacon, and 2 eggs for $ 6 something. I ordered off their menu and got one pancake, 2 eggs, 2 bacon pieces for 20 cents cheaper… and my friend ordered the special… we got basically the same thing except he had more food and only paid 20 cents more! Gosh darn it… So long story short, make sure to check the specials… I have no idea why I didn’t :( Anyways, they get –1 star because our waitress sort of disappeared on us. Brought us drinks, our food, and then our check… no refills and we had to walk to the front to pay because she forgot all about our table. Really nice if you wanted a private meal I guess but really annoying if you’re waiting 10ish minutes just to pay and leave! We seriously could have walked right out and not pay because no one was paying attention to our table at all and there was only 3 or 4 tables in the whole establishment. Would still come back.

Came with the whole family. 2 kids, 1 of them is a very picky eater. Had to order two orders of chicken strips. And the other baby, chocolate chip pancakes, what kid doesn’t love chocolate or pancakes. So, 2 happy kids, 2 happy parents. Now for the adults, we both had Today’s special, 2 pancakes, 2 eggs(any style, we both got different styles), choice of bacon or sausage, I got a Hot Link as my meat. Every bite was heavenly. We now have a place to eat before we hit the road. Hospitality was extremely pleasant as well.

Classic breakfast/lunch dishes with a mix of southern Louisiana style at an affordable price. Drinks served in mason jars, beignets, and po boys. This place is something else in the little town of Benicia. The service is great and our server made sure to check up on us. I order Huck’s Combo(French toast, two eggs, and two pieces of bacon) and a side of jambalaya rice(which was amazing with a little kick at the end) and had Huck’s Swamp tea(made with huckleberries). It was all really good and the portions were perfect.

This is a chain that serves California /Southern food in a themed environment. I was a little surprised by that, but I gave it a go. Chicken and waffles comes with eggs, I also ordered a side of bacon and a coffee. The service was good. The waffle was very good. The fried chicken was terrible, like fish sticks(boneless, heavy, flavorless breading). The bacon was as tough as beef jerky. The eggs were over cooked and poorly done scramble. The coffee was very, very weak. Lots of effort into the décor, but need to spend more time on the food. About the quality of a Denny’s.
