Dive bar? Yes, there are shady characters but other than that a brightly lit relatively clean place. Certainly NOT dive bar prices, that or the waitress rolled us for extra tip money. $ 7.50 for a single cocktail served tall? Guess I’ll have to take her word for it that the«new owners» changed the prices

This place is divey and dirty and awesome. If you want a posh atmosphere with lavender-infused vodka, this is not for you. Yet, if you want real characters(yes some are shady and others just plain crazy) and a stiff drink then this is the pub to go to. It’s a working class bar, the bartenders are young, hot and friendly, and there’s often live bands, pool and darts. Overall great dive bar, just don’t leave your valuables out. or anything for that matter, and carry pepper spray :) also they have Wednesday $ 1PBR day and $ 1 Bud Thursdays.

It was a beautiful autumn Saturday, the skies were clear, and the sun was out. We had were walking around the neighborhood where our motel was. As we passed under an overpass, commenting on the cool graffiti art on the trains passing over, we came upon a message on the wall. I don’t remember the exact words but it was a warning for innocent passerbys that 3rd St Pub is a place where you can find tweakers and con artists. Do not go! Naturally our interest was peaked. We asked around and was told it was the diveiest dive bar in town. Sweet. We love dive bars. We reviewed the Unilocal reviews and they said pretty much the same thing and boy were they right! Granted we were there when it was still daytime out so if there were methheads loitering around, there was only the handful(probably haven’t woken up yet, assuming they had gone to sleep). It was pretty tame when we were there. On one side of the room is a large and video poker. On the other side was a stage. There is a pinball machine for those of you who enjoy it. There is also a foos ball table and big Jenga blocks. In the middle was a pool table and there is a big screen TV. We enjoyed some football, people watching, and beer. It’s what we usually do at any bar. We left to grab some dinner just as it was slowly filling with people. I didn’t use the bathroom there but my two companions did. Both of them expressed confusion and said, «I don’t think that was meant to be a bathroom.» The way they described it to me made it sound like someone cut a hole in the ground, put a bottomless bucket over it and placed a seat over. Viola, toilet. I am not sure if that is what it actually looked like but that is what I imagined from their description. This reminds me of the Yamhill Pub in downtown Portland but not as dingy or smelly. There’s still a ways to go before they get to that level. Would I come here again? Yes. Why? I. Like. Dive. Bars. What can I say, they have character. The bartender, at least, appeared ‘normal.’

It was suggested by another reviewer that this bar is in a «bad part of town.» I might suggest that the 3rd Street Pub contributes to that perception. Make sure there’s room in the parking lot for the inevitable police car. Not recommended.

Careful. This place is known to be frequented by drug addicts and criminals. Bad part of town.

Another classic dive bar. Basic drinks(no one knew how to make a martini) but thats fine by me. They have quite a bit of live music, so thats cool.
