We got here at 5:30 pm and were just in time for their Sunset Dinner Menu — a four-course dinner for $ 21.(This is quite the savings when you consider that appetizers alone are about $ 11-$ 15). I got the shrimp cocktail, the classic Caesar salad, the northwest duet(salmon and bay shrimp) and the burnt crème(basically crème brûlée). Everything was great! Plus, we ordered drinks from the happy hour menu so had a cosmopolitan and a buttery oaky Chardonnay. Service was excellent. We originally asked to sit outside but it was nearly 90 degrees with not enough shade under the umbrella so asked if we could move indoors. They were really accommodating and found us a table indoors — no problem. Air conditioning was a welcome sight indoors! All in all, a great experience and would recommend it to others.

Fantastic food, and even better service. Got seated in only a minute or two, and had our food in ten minutes flat. The Dungeness crab salads with grapefruit and avocado was truly inspired. The salmon fish and chips was so good my 9 year finished the oversized portion! Don’t skip dessert, as the fresh berries and Devonshire cream is worth its weight in gold. Delicate, balanced, and delicious. If you are at the old mill in Bend, don’t miss the opportunity to dine here. The staff is wonderful from beginning to end.

Lovely setting along the Deschutes River, friendly and attentive wait staff and excellent food. We expected a chain restaurant experience, but found it very much rooted in the Central Oregon esthetic and vibe. A definite stop on our return visit to Bend. Try the poker nachos on the appetizer menu.

My husband, sister and I were looking for some appetizers and drinks on a Friday evening. We showed up around 7pm and the place was packed. We manged to grab seats in the bar very quickly. I had been once before and I was aware they are primarily a seafood restaurant(not my favorite) but I assumed they would have something none seafoody on the appetizer menu. Well you know what they say about those who assume… oops all seafood. Which is OK I certainly don’t fault the restaurant for my assumptions. Just be forewarned. The drinks we had were delicious, and although the place was packed, Cody the bartender was amazing. The atmosphere in the restaurant is stunning. You have a beautiful view of the river and big fire pit outside. And if you make it to Anthony’s you have to check out the bathrooms… yes the bathrooms. Each stall feels like it’s own suite.(Not sure about the men’s). Overall good experience.

Went there for dinner. Wait time for a seat was about 20 minutes. Service was pretty good and the view is nice. The food however is average. We had steak and lobster and nothing about it was great. Red Lobsters food is better. The price is expensive, which would be fine, IF the food was worth it. This is the second time we’ve been here and we won’t be back.

For the price, my fish and chips weren’t that great. The food is mediocre at best. My fish lacked flavor. We were all underwhelmed with our dishes. The bright open space is nice, but it lacks a cozy ambiance. Service isn’t especially friendly.

Update… Here is an update to the below review done by my daughter. While our dining experience wasn’t fabulous, the manager called and personally spoke with my daughter. He apologized for the service the evening we were in and stated that the issues were being addressed. I truly appreciate that they took the time to validate my daughters experience. It is a great gesture towards winning back our business. Thank you… Aly’s mom Just to clarify I am an eleven year old with refined taste and dining experience. This was horrible, we got seated at ten after seven ordered our food at seven twenty and it arrived at three separate times. Our clam chowder arrived at eight fifteen. Then my moms salad at eight thirty, another 15 minutes for my main meal, and my brother’s food was served at 8:40. If you want your kids to not be crabby I suggest eating elsewhere. Not to mention the steak was not very pleasing. Although the strawberry lemonade was pretty good.

this food is honestly some of the worst I’ve had. you can go to Applebee’s and get the same dinner for a third of the price. the best part of our meal was the bread. and our server may or may not have been born without emotions. great location on the river but seriously not worth the tastebud assault.

Anniversary dinner with my hubs and being the cheap people we are we decided to take advantage of the Early Bird Special & have a nice view for our dinner. Food was fine, nothing special to rave about on that front, but the service is what I rated 3 star. The service was slow. It took forever for our server to come. On everything. And as soon as I said I don’t want any alcohol(the up-charge) it slowed down more. Yes, slower than slow. For example, the table sat immediately after us(same server) ordered bottle of wine, they had wine, bread and appetizer immediately. We waited for appetizer, showed about 15 mins after. Bread finally came into the 2nd course, with salad. We could see our food, on counter, waiting to be dropped off to us, no server in site. No food runners! Lesson learned: I don’t need a good view to eat great food and have good service. Will I go back? Only if someone else is paying and I bring a snack with me.

Went to Anthony’s tonight for Mother’s Day dinner. We had a movie planned for 7:40 so made a reservation for 6. We arrived and waited about 10 minutes to be seated by a window which was nice. Our waiter was very prompt and within moments we had water and wine. He then took our order for an appetizer. We waited about 15 min for the app and when it came we ordered dinner. The artichoke dip was incredible and very different from others we’ve had. So far, all was good. A while later the salads came and they too were very tasty and fresh. It was now 6:50 and we were getting nervous about our food, but still had a reasonable amount of time to enjoy it. At 7:20, after having been waiting for the entrees for over 30 min., we informed our waiter that we had 20 min before the movie, he explained that the kitchen was slammed from the crowd. He said he couldn’t do anything about it. After about 10 min more(7:30) I saw the food finally hit the window and our waiter was right there to deliver. The food itself was very good and we were able to finish but did ask that he bring the check right away. He did and we paid. We never saw him again so when we needed a take out box, we went to the bussing station and got our own. $ 105 for 3 people and 1 hr. 45 min later and we were out the door. Forget the dessert we were looking forward to and the apology for the wait. I realize it was a holiday and a slammed kitchen happens but it really shouldn’t when it was a quite well known holiday and they should have been overstaffed. Whatever happened to making it up to the customers with offering an apology and maybe a drink or dessert? Shame on you Anthony’s. Not a way to make a nice meal for Mom.

Great food… Great happy hour… And friendly staff, not to mention the view! Anthony’s has one of the best views of the Deshutes River and all the activity that goes on around that area! A very relaxing atmosphere! Plenty of choices for beer and alcohol and a great place to meet up with friends or family.

I’ve actually never been here for anything other than their happy hour… but I do really enjoy that. Great oyster shooters, drink menu & such a wonderful location … especially in the summer when you can sit out on the patio! The staff and service has always been wonderful and pretty accommodating. I need to make it a point to come back for a full meal.

Just average… Right next door is Greg’s Grill. I’d highly recommend heading there. Here’s a tip for our server… Not everyone is tourists… Treat locals like locals. We’re your long term customers.

Went here with family on Christmas for our dinner. We made reservations so we were seated right away. It was really busy so they were sold out of the rib eye steaks, and another great cut. But they were still able to provide a yummy cut of steak. My Brother in law and I ordered the scallops, and his wife had the salmon. Her Sister, and my guy had the steak. All of us were really impressed, and the quality was great. No complaints from this foodie! Great service, especially for it being on a Holiday and having to serve a huge rush, and crowd. 5 stars to you and your staff.

Heard great things about the food here. Then we tried for a table for dinner after a long day of travel with the kids where we seemed to wait(& wait) as everyone else was seated but us. My kids started getting fussy as we waited and the hostess began rolling her eyes at us. Interesting that the Old Mill District«The Bulletin» suggested that it was family friendly dinning. My husband saw her do that and instantly walked out. We tried to get him back in as we did not know why he stormed out as just then the table was finally ready but he was OVERIT after seeing the rude behavior displayed by the staff.(So we went to Hola! Yum! 5 stars) So the next day, my Mom and I decided to try it again since husband and kids were out snowboarding. Barely being acknowledged by staff & then being seated on a dirty table(«ah-yes could you please clear our table?» «Yes I will as soon as I have time”-?!) we asked for a couple of suggestions; to which we were informed of the long day the waiter had had so we should just order what we like. Unreal! Food was ok on some better on others but I could not get over the attitude displayed not on one occasion but twice in a 24 by the staff. Speechless. Thanks Anthony’s we see how it is. Done.

We often go here for lunch. About a week or so ago we were in for lunch and the manager on duty stopped by the table and gave us a gift certificate for $ 20 off dinner or $ 10 off lunch when 2 entrees are purchased! It expires 12⁄13 but I still think it’s a great idea to get people in again. I don’t eat seafood so the menu is slightly limited for me but their creamy tomato basil soup is awesome! My daughter often asks to go there just for that. The burgers are thick with fresh toppings. The prices are a little on the higher end for dinner but for lunch an entrée for most things are around $ 10-$ 14. And the view is great! We have always had good service at lunch time and are always quickly seated which is bonus! I have never been here for dinner, but maybe this certificate will make me go this week!

We are locals and Anthonys used to be one our go to restaurants. We live the view, we Love drinks and dinner on the patio in the summer, we Love the fresh fish. But when I think about it, it really is the server who makes the experience special. There was nothing special about our experience or waitress this weekend. Maybe it was an off night, maybe they were short help. Our waitress greeted us promptly and took our drink orders, but we were waiting for friends to arrive and join us. When they did arrive our waitress seemed no where to be found. After a long wait, finally we flagged her down and requested water and bread. After we ordered it seemed to take a long while to get our food. Our drink orders never came and the extra wine glasses were never removed. It just seems like the quality of service needs some attention. Anthonys would do well to increase the attention to the small details like water, bread along with being more friendly, smiling, available, present, prompt, and professional in manner. Oh yeah, the food was good, but the service left us feeling disappointed.

Nice ombiance, located on the water with very nice view. The items on the menu were high. We ordered the Wild Salmon Salad and were VERY disappointed!!! The salad had no flavor and you just felt like you were eating a bowl of Romaine lettuce. Salmon was dry, but did add some flavor. The table smelled like a dirty dish rag. Would NOT go to this restaurant again.
