So seriously why have I NOT tried a Vietnamese sandwich before? I stopped in at lunch and ordered the #28 Grilled Chicken Sub and a Fresh Mango Bubble Tea. Took about 15 minutes to receive my order but it was lunch time and due to T-mobile campus steps away it was busy with a line out the door . The sandwich is like a salad on a crispy banquette. So Delicious and spicy. The homemade sauce is so yummy, a tangy soy sauce mixture as well as a mayo sauce. The jalapenos give it the kick so if you don’t like spice order without the jalapenos. The mango tea was so yummy with pieces of fresh mango(not sure if that is a seasonal item, it was separate on the board for $ 4.50). I can’t wait to go back and try more items, the chicken bowls look delicious as well ! Six Stars!!!

Really, this place is a 3.5 star but more expensive than other Vietnamese places for sandwiches. The lady at the front was pretty nice and sandwiches were made by her too, so it’s not super fast service. Got the combo which includes ham meat and chicken. The chicken was not too good. It was hard and not fresh. Definitely sticking with other meats next time. It had plenty of hams though. Veggie was an OK amount. This is due to my own preference, since I don’t like cucumbers and there were two large chunks I took out. The bread was crunchy, but somehow seem not too fresh. Their other food looks good on the menu, so I will give then another try. But then again, there’s not too many Vietnamese sandwich places around unless I want to make the drive to Seattle. Probably will update again when I’ve had other foods on the menu.

Good clean and cheap Vietnamese food for lunch. Would not eat in as its tiny. Not much for ambiance as is just a little deli. Bahn mi sandwiches and noodle and rice bowls. Great value and always delicious!

This is an excellent hole-in-the-wall for Vietnamese food. I’ve had the banh mi and the wonton soup. The banh mi was excellent. The bread was crunchy, the ingredients fresh. The wonton soup was not particularly great, but had a good amount of veggies. It will be one of my healthy lunch options. There isn’t much seating here, so I would recommend getting food to go.

Saigon Café & Deli is easy to miss due to it’s size being no bigger than a spacious walk-in closet, but don’t let the size fool you. The food it serves up is legit! 2 of my colleagues frequent Saigon for lunch, so one day I decided to give it a try. The beef phở is very tasty and has a delicious broth. Customers are given a large helping of meat and other fixins. No skimming here! Phở is about $ 8 and often last me for 2 meals(or 1 if I’ve starving.) The star of Saigon Deli are the banh mi sandwiches. Seriously, probably the best banh mi sandwich I’ve had in all of Seattle, and would also explain why everyone picking up their to go orders were picking up the sandwiches. They are served on fresh french bread that are brunch on the outside and perfectly soft in the center. Large helpings of meat(I get the beef), cilantro, jalapenos, carrots and onions with a unique aioli sauce make their banh mi’s out of this world. And unlike their competitors, the banh mi’s are twice the size of most establishments. Do yourself a favor and head over to Saigon for a banh mi. Yum!

Their bahn mis are incredible. Annnnd all under $ 5! The grilled pork one is tasty, but my favorite is the veggie tofu sandwich. This is coming from a total meat lover so you know it’s got to be amazing. It’s a foot long French roll that makes Subway look like a dump, and filled with fried tofu puffs, glass noodles, and sautéed carrots. You also get the typical bahn mi veggies. It’s super filling and perfectly seasoned, and you just know the veggies are extremely fresh. The bubble teas are average but very large but their Vietnamese iced coffee is amazing. It’s extremely strong but not bitter, and I see her make it in front of me. Love this place.

I went to The Saigon Café hoping for a decent sandwich since they have a huge banner advertise as the best Vietnamese sandwiches. I ordered the pork sandwich and vietnamese ice coffee to go. Opening up the wrapping I noticed right away the banh mi was stale and not toasted at all. Secondly, there was a lot of cilantro packed into the sandwich. Not to mention the meat was overly sweet and dry borderline jerky meat. I tried eating half of it before giving up. As for my coffee, they put way too much condense milk, I gave up too after a few sips. This place is tiny with one cashier and one person in the kitchen, service was alright.

Cute, but small little café(2 small tables and a «bar» with a few seats). Didn’t have the Thai Iced Tea that I like, but offered me a coffee instead. Strong, but very tasty. Ordered 3 different Bahn Mi’s and they were done fairly quickly(~10 minutes). Great for lunch!

Very nice family owned business. They provide fresh, well proportioned tasty Bahn Mi sandwiches that are easy on the wallet. I’ll be back.

Service was great and very friendly. The broth on the beef Phở is delicious; the most we’ve liked in the seattle area. The place has a small seating area(about 8 seats overall), so it’s more for pickup orders but we had great service while in here

My sister took me here and I loved the sandwiches. I love their thai coffee too. I will come here whenever I go to Nordstrom rack.

I went to The Saigon Café hoping for a great sandwich. It seemed promising because it is what they specialize in and advertise as the best Vietnamese sandwiches around. I ordered the pork sandwich to go and was so excited to try it once I got back to work. There was so much cilantro packed into the sandwich, my first bit was only cilantro and sauce. Secondly, the meat was SO disgusting. It was gristly and did not taste like pork. I opened the sandwich and took a good long look at the meat and tossed it right away. I was bummed that I got all the way back to my office had that experience then had no lunch. Oh well, lesson learned. I will not be going back. I do not recommend.

Very tasty sandwiches, great value, and super friendly and sincere family business. What more can you ask for? Well like most places on this block more seating would be nice. Great place.

I ordered the pork and combo sandwiches to go. Way too much cilantro packed in and not as much spiced carrot and daikon. The meat’s not bad but the lack of pâté really doesn’t give it the added kick that bahn mi sandwiches all over the world are known for. They’re a bit pricey for bahn mi standards too but since they are specifically called Vietnamese sandwiches, I guess that’s what you’re really paying for. Plus this area has money so the folks in this area can afford it. I’ll pass next time.

This is a tiny restaurant squeezed between a nail salon and a Teriyaki restaurant. You could easily walk past and miss this fabulous find. I ordered the Vietnamese pork sandwich. It is approximately 10″ long. The bread is a French baguette, and the sandwich is stuffed with pork and then a bunch of fresh ingredients such as carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, onion, jalapenos, and lime juice. Yum yum! There is minimal seating so you may want to order your sandwich to-go.

If possible. i would give a 0. And this is because of three reasons. 3. If you are craving vietnamese subs, there are lots of places around that provide same, with better customer service and definitely fresher chicken. This place is cheap and there is a reason why that is so! 2. Like i said, the chicken at this place is very very fishy. sometimes even tasting like fish. I am writing this as i am throwing away some phở infected with this chicken. 1. Their hostess is one of the rudest persons i have encountered in the food industry. And I have noticed, she is really chatty with the male customers and completely rude with the female. Or maybe she just does not like me. whatever the case, i am never going back here. i will stay hungry rather than be dealing with her. Thank You!

Last year I vowed to eat vegetarian at least two days a week. This year I’m taking it to four. So what does that have to do with Saigon Deli? I can put away a plate of rice and vegetables or beans or a fruit plate but I can’t say I ever really love it. I love the stir-fried tofu Bánh mì from Saigon Deli. I’ve had them other places but I really like theirs. Can’t really explain it. Found it by accident, it’s totally a hole in the wall wedged between a nail place and a dry-cleaner. There are only a couple stools and a small bar-like counter. The woman who’s always been at the register when I’ve been is pretty friendly.

Parking is a pain. Kind of tricky to find. It’s no Saigon Deli from the ID though… If you are craving a Vietnamese sandwich and you are in a bind, I guess you can go here. It will do the job. Had it once when I was doing digital for my client at Clarisonic. Never went back. Edible.

Super friendly as well as clean, perfectly priced fresh portions. They deserve more square footage for this quality. The wonton soup has a perfect flavor, and plenty of little delish meaty bits. I even changed my order at at last minute, and there was no balking, just a sweet smile.
