Like eating at granny’s house. Pulled pork was delicious, Mac n cheese was creamy and great, rib-tips were well done, and the sauce was perfect for the meal. The best part was the greens: you could tell they were home made and were the perfect side. So good, I got an order to go for breakfast.

Hands down, they have the best-candied yams I’ve had in over 15 years! I traveled over an hour just to go get some on a few occasions. The very first time I came, I tried the rib tips, greens, candied yams of course, banana pudding, and pecan pie. The rib tips had a decent amount of meat on the bones, were cooked nicely, and the flavor of them was interesting. I added some hot sauce to cut some of the sweetness from the ribs and then I liked them better. The greens were spicy so my daughter didn’t like them but I thought they were good. My daughter fell in love with the pecan pie, which I hated my banana pudding, but the owner was very nice and let me get pecan pie instead and it was probably up there with the best I’ve ever had. I really appreciate the service here and will return — especially for the candied yams! I’m looking forward to trying other meat too.

This place is amazing. I went for lunch and brought some home for dinner. Pulled Pork, Rib Tips, Candied Yams, Macaroni and Cheese, Collard Greens, Jalapeño Corn Bread, Regular Corn Bread, and Banana Pudding. ALL5STARS! This place beats any bbq place I’ve been too. 5 stars all the way. I’ll be back, often. Great prices too. And a kids menu(which we didn’t try, but it’s there for those that need it). Great menu. Tons of choices. I want to go back and try more.

Stopped by after a long day looking at houses in the area, and Rosako prepared me a meal full of flavor and smoke! Hot links, pulled pork, beef ribs, brisket, and some Texas toast all hit the spot with the Big Al(it’s BIG!). Anyhow I will be back once I arrive in Bedford!

Such an amazing restaurant, the food is outstanding. I go there every Sunday after work, and I’m always satisfied. The owner and his family are wonderful, definitely a top restaurant in the DFW area!

Best little BB-Q gem in the midcity area. Amazing slow cooked brisket and pulled pork matched with soulful greens. On top of the mountain of greatly priced food you receive, the customer service can’t not be beat. Be sure to ask about the Big Al(not on the menu).

Too legit to quit and Crazy good. The ribs are huge and tender and the brisket is amazing. Can’t go wrong with the collard greens either. Not a single complaint about anything we ordered. Portions are so huge I’ll definitely have another meal from the leftovers. Definitely making this place a regular haunt.

It’s been a few but the food is even better now. The black eyed peas are so good and the greens have just enough kick to keep you coming back. We also got the jalapeño cheddar corn bread, mother father it was good. Great to have a spot like this within 3 miles of the house.

I visited Rosako’s for lunch. I didn’t see brisket on the menu so I opted for turkey tips. The turkey tips were salty and tasted ok with sauce. The meal came with a decent serving of food service made fries which were crisp and tasty. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I might return to try pulled pork or jerk chicken.

I don’t understand the bad reviews but hey to each their own. I ordered the take a nap for the family. We had rib tips and pulled pork with okra, fries, beans, and Mac n cheese. The tips were juicy well cooked and had just the right amount of flavor. The pulled pork was simply amazing. The beans and Mac n cheese were the best of the sides and let me tell you they didn’t last long. I gave it 5 stars because there wasn’t a 6 star option. Seriously, ordered this to go. When me and my family sat down to eat, there was pure silence. It was the first time my house has been silent in four years. I highly recommend going here and I will for sure return.

Anyone that leaves, or have already left, this restaurant a bad review and/or bad rating must have ZERO taste buds and prayers to you for not being able to realize how amazing the food is here. What a great addition this place is to the Mid-Cities. We normally will drive out to Dallas to get our fix of soul food but NOTANYMORE. Not only is their food ONPOINT, their prices. you just can’t beat. While I was sitting there, enjoying my pulled pork sandwich(I don’t plan on ever tasting anyone else’s pulled pork sandwich, it was THAT delicious), there had to have been 4 or 5 people ordering takeout that were just there THENIGHTBEFORE. Why would ANYONE go to the same place for lunch if they just had it for dinner the night before??! That speaks for itself. The sides I tried were the collard greens, jalapeño cheddar cornbread, yams, mac&cheese, the green beans — ALLDEEEELISH. The peach cobbler was also tasty! I’m excited to try the pecan pie Mr. Bailey advised they’d be serving in their restaurant soon. They also have specials they run during the week that y’all need to check out. Mr. Bailey is the owner, by the way, and he’s so down to earth. It’s always nice to meet an owner of a restaurant and feel/see how passionate he is about what he does. See you next week Mr. Bailey!

My companion and I stopped in for lunch on Saturday. The place was not busy. There were two takeout customers and three other inside diners. This is an order at the counter place then they bring the food to the table. Nothing fancy. We had to ask them to turn down the blaring music so we could carry on a conversation. My companion had a pulled pork sandwich that came with French fries. I had a turkey sandwich and substituted fried okra for the fries. That substitution cost 50 cents even though both sides have the same price on the menu. Both sandwiches were good size with plenty of meat. The pulled pork was extremely salty with only fair BBQ flavor. The turkey was served with lettuce and tomato but no mayo or other condiment so it was fairly dry. I had also expected the turkey to be smoked especially after one of the employees was bragging about what a great smoker they had and that they cooked all the meat in it. If my turkey had been smoked, it sure didn’t taste like it. So, mediocre food would discourage us from returning but there were a couple of other reasons that sealed the deal. I already mentioned the upcharge for the okra. We did not see tea on the menu so we ordered water. It turns out they do have tea, shouldn’t that be on the menu? The water was served in a cup, just regular tap water with ice. The two waters were 50 cents. There was also a 50 cents charge for BBQ sauce on the pork sandwich. That is just tacky. I’d hate to go there for ribs only to find out there is a surcharge for napkins. We won’t go back. Too bad, it is a locally owned independent business that is conveniently located just a few blocks away.

Hmm, 3.5 really. Am glad to see a good BBQ place open. It just wasn’t a home run. I had 3 meat plate. Rib tips, pulled pork, and hot link. Sides were Mac n cheese and yams. Sides were good, no issues there. Cheese was kind of Velveeta consistentsy. Yams plenty of brown sugar. Hot link: Real soft. kind of too soft almost. East Texas style maybe. It’s red and served sliced… so you’ll need to ask no slice if that’s what you prefer. Pulled Pork: Slightly dry, dark meat that had been chopped after pulling. Needed a little sauce to go down. not much though. Rib tips: These were nice and meaty, but a little under cooked IMO. Not very juicy or tender. Still good. It confused me seeing rib tips… but no ribs on the menu? Are they buying the tips only? Kinda weird. No bread, pickles, or onions served. Soda is behind counter so no self serve refills. No sauce on table, so you’ll need to ask for more if you want it. If I was closer I’d maybe go back. It’s a decent spot. Service is very friendly and they offer great specials for seniors and veterans. Try the place out if you’re around.

I discovered this place last night on Unilocal and decided to pick up lunch for me and my husband. I ordered the two meat plate and two sides. I had the rib tips and hotlinks. For my sides I got the greens, mac and cheese and I also added the yams as an extra side. My husband ordered the rib tips, turkey tip with greens, yams and fried okra. We also ordered peach cobbler, banana pudding and sweet potato cake. The customer service is awesome. The rib tips had a lot of fat and the barbecue sauce was not good at all. My husband liked his turkey tips. The fried okra was cooked right but they were bland, Mac and cheese was bland but the greens were good. I liked the yams but they were too sweet. The peach cobbler was very sweet but I do like that they use made from scratch dumplings. The banana pudding looks like they just took a bowl of pudding, sliced bananas on top and threw some cookies on top. I was surprised that they didn’t use Nilla wafers. The sweet potato cake was ok. I spent about $ 48.00 and I wasted my money. To me there are too many corners cut here. Oh and please don’t think your meal comes with cornbread because it doesn’t. Their prices are little higher for the small portions your receive. They also don’t sell fried chicken or fried pork chops. They just opened a few weeks ago so hopefully they will make some changes to their menu and lower their prices or give larger portions. This was really a disappointment because they are less than ten minutes from me. It would have been nice to have a soulfood restaurant close to home, I will just have to drive the 30 minutes to my favorite soulfood restaurant.

I am sorry but I just don’t see it. I came by for lunch last week. Looking at the menu I discovered that the menu was much more BBQ than soul food unless you call BBQ soul food which I don’t. I wanted soul food but had to go with BBQ because that’s really all that’s on the menu. To make matters worse they didn’t have my two favorite meats(chicken and brisket) so I went with a medium order of rib tips with some beans and French fries. The food came out within 5 minutes. I am not a rib fan to begin with but went with the tips because it seemed that’s what they specialize in. I thought they were ok(3). The fries were basic frozen type so I gave them a 3. They beans were the best part as I gave them a(3.5). The people behind the counter were very friendly and accommodating. They serve breakfast and have daily specials. I saw one for smothered pork chops but it wasn’t for the day I was there. Like I said I was disappointed that they didn’t offer much soul food at all. Portion sizes were good. I probably should have tried the pulled pork sandwich instead.

O — M — G !!! To all of you who have driven by and wondered — do not let another minute go by — TRYIT!!! In the fast-paced, instant-gratification world that we live in, it is rare to find a restaurant that features genuine«from-the-heart» recipes that will rival those passed down from generation to generation. It is equally rare to find the kind of budget-friendly value and portion sizes that would make any teen-aged boy smile. Finally, it is almost impossible to find kind and gracious service provided by sincerely«good» people. At Rosako’s — you will find all of this and so much more — WINNER, WINNERCHICKENDINNER!!! The BBQ meats are incredible — fabulous quality and perfect amount of «smoked greatness». The homemade BBQ sauce was a perfect compliment without overpowering. The turkey tips — marvelous — you just cannot stop eating them. Ribs and rib tips — tender, rich and flavorful without a hint of greasiness. Outstanding chicken that falls off the bone when you look at it. And as good as the meats were, the sides are even better!!! Mac and cheese, candied yams and fried okra that I would be proud to place on my family’s Thanksgiving table —(and speaking of Thanksgiving, the sliced turkey, gravy and dressing were awesome, too). For me, the piece de resistance were the collard greens!!! Never have I found such wonderful collard greens in a restaurant — NEVER!!! Perfect flavor medley with no salt or pork — I would have never believed it possible to be THAT good!!! We are already planning our next visit!!!

I ate the Thanksgiving 365. Delicious, Good Stuffing in the form of a waffle, sliced turkey. just the right size, not too thick, not too thin. Brown gravy topped this deliciousness. Mac. N cheese *which, having eaten there 3 times now, love to leave it to eat the next day.* and collard greens & cornbread. I’ve also tried the oxtails, Bbq short ribs, Turkey tips and candied yams.
