Not sure what happened however, in the past year my go to store is now merely my «if I HAVE to». Very close to home so its tough not to go there. From items removed to an entire revamp of the store and item locations, this place sucks now. Even the butchers I used to depend on to give me the best Rib roasts, tips and other cuts of meats have either left or gave up. I cannot buy meats from Market Basket so I depend on Hannaford’s yet I find myself spending the extra money to get beef at a real butcher. Hopefully management pays attention to these reviews and will bring my store back to «Go to»

This is my go to Hannaford! Here in Bedford we actually have 2 Hannaford’s. This is the one I prefer! It has a small town feel. Selection is great and the workers are polite and friendly! I’m big on purchasing as many organic items as I can and at this hannaford they have a descent selection of organic produce and other items. If your Gluten free they also have a section of gluten free products! Happy shopping!

This is a typical grocery store in a part of town that doesn’t have many options. Despite having an abundance of supermarkets in Bedford, this area doesn’t really have anything nearby(Harvest market being the exception). The Hannaford on Jenkins road is smaller than some of the others but I’ve notice the selection is still very broad. They do this by putting fewer of each product on the shelves and restocking frequently. Yes, this means you encounter an out of stock product on occasion but if you ask an associate 9 times out of 10 they can run out back and get you one. If you are in a hurry, or scared of talking to people, this might not be an option but for me it is a fair trade to avoid a 20 minute drive across town. The produce, meat, and fish stations are all adequate but nothing special. They have a special little section of gluten free and organ products so if you’re looking for a specialty brand and don’t see it on the shelves it is probably over there. This leads to some confusing decisions like splitting up the Kashi line with half of it being in the organic section and half in the cereal aisle. While little things like that are annoying after a few visits you learn the layout and it is easy to forget how frustrating it was your first time shopping. The location also has a Red Box, lottery vending machine and large selection of frozen foods. Overall a solid grocery store.

Hire some front line workers. Every time I go and I go a lot as i spend 600 amonth there they have 1 front line worker. Also they stock during the day which makes it very hard to get past the people stocking the isles.

The main thing I like about this place is they carry GT’s Kombucha tea… other than that… it’s a normal grocery store. They do have a decent selection of organic stuff and a small line of vitamins and herbs but nothing crazy. It definitely works in a pinch though. The other good thing is they have a good selection of wine. It’s practically walking distance from my house so that helps too.
