WOW! We went here recently for a birthday celebration for my son. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my son showed me the menu before-hand and it looked delicious. We were a large party(7) and they were able to seat us quickly and comfortably. Some of us had a margarita to start with and I must say the bartender was generous with the tequila and the drinks were huge! We also started out with complimentary chips, salsa AND bean dip. We had different dishes, and everyone was happy. My mom had tamales and tacos, I had the enchiladas in three different sauces, one of us had a huge burrito, and several had seafood dishes. ALL were delicious. At the conclusion of the meal, they placed a HUGE sombrero on my son’s head, sang a boisterous Happy BIrthday, first in Spanish and then in English(which we joined in on) and THEN, he was given a complimentary shot of tequila. WOW! again. WHAT a great place, with tasty food, reasonable prices and wonderful service. I recommend Si Señor whole-heartedly!

i admit i was drawn here by the Dollar Taco’s sign. I had two al pastor and one barbacoa taco for $ 3. I have to say it was the . They have a salsa bar-tried the salsa verde(green sauce) very tangy and good, and some fiery red one. This place is labeled as a buffet but it wasnt when i was there… Pretty good stuff, definately worth a try for anyone in the area.

Maybe I went to a different place than everyone else did but I thought this place was pretty good actually. We didn’t come for the lunch buffet but I saw the setup and their salsa selection is really not bad at all. They’ve got all the spicy pickled cabbage, tomatillo salsa, house salsa, mild salsa, al pastor salsa, grilled peppers, and some extra beans that are actually cooked well in their bar to top off your tacos. I came at an odd hour when they were selling tacos for $ 1 a piece. Talk about a bargain in this town, with places like Por Que No selling tacos at more than $ 2 a piece, this is a blessing. The tacos are standard and nothing to write home about the price makes it all worth it. Their selection is good too. For a Mexican American place, they serve lengua and they do it well. I was satisfied. Wished they had free tortilla chips but eh, $ 1 tacos, ’nuff said.

Ok so 2 stars for this joint but probably 3.5 for the other locations. I don’t think this location still exists as a Si Señor is that correct? Anyways, the drinks were always so-so. The HH price decent. But the mexican buffet? I tried it a couple times. The first time was OK. Nothing special, but I seemed to have come at the right time as to get myself a hot meal with some different options. Plus they brought me fresh tortillas which was nice. The second time I came here for the lunch buffet it was horrible. They were not restocking food, it looked like it had sat out for a bit, and the variety was lacking. That was the end of that adventure!

Tried this place a second time because it’s so close. Bad idea. The meat — pork and beef were chewy. Taco Bell’s meat is more tender. It was just goopey Mexican food. We think it’s busy because it’s filled with people who don’t know any better. Please give me a good Mexican restaurant nearby. We’re going back to Lupe’s Escape, takes a while, but it’s authentic with quality ingredients. We’re done here. Not even if it were free would we return.

Geez, what a mixed bag. The place is very nice inside. It was in the 80s outside and they have nice air flow and a clean floor & tables. The staff are friendly. But oh dear, the food! The chips and salsa were okay. The bean dip was good — hot and spicy but not too much so. After a few bites of that I tried the regular red salsa, and OUCH — hot! I don’t mind hot when it’s got garlic or some other spice in there, but this was just tomato and HOT. So okay, chips & salsa just alright. The menu is HUGE. There are 6 pages of things to look at! I wanted to experiment so I know the best way to judge a good Mexican restaurant is to get the whole fish. And hubby got the Tour of Mexico with a sampling of relleno, enchilada, taco and grilled steak. The only thing good about his dish, according to him, was the meat. Nicely grilled and flavorful steak, it was the star. The rest of it was certainly not worth the $ 15.95 price tag. The enchilada was lightly filled with dry, flavorless chicken. So was the taco — called a Taquito Juarez for some unknown reason(nothing like a taquito if you are used to a little fried cylinder — this was obviously a plain taco with a soft shell) and it had that awful dried-up chicken. My dish, the whole red snapper, looked way more promising. The fish was obviously crispy and had the deep cut marks that indicate a nicely fried piece of fish. And if it had some salt on it, or pepper, or SOMETHING, it could have been a star; with no seasoning whatsoever, not even salt, it was just crispy skin and bony white meat. I got a kick out of eating the eyeballs in front of our server, who ran away fast after watching me down one of them. I laughed. I give one entire star to the freshness of the fish — bravo for that! And the other star is for the bean dip and the service. Although both of our dishes stated they came with pico de gallo and guacamole, there was less than a tablespoon of each on the plates — again, these dishes both cost $ 15.95!!! Is pico de gallo expensive? I think not! Guacamole? Sure, but geez guys, less than a tablespoon for the massive plate??? We won’t be back. Too bad — if they just added some little bit of SOMETHING — I don’t know, FLAVOR — it would be three stars. Do. not. get. the. chille. relleno. I don’t know what was wrong with it, but something was definitely off with the breading, and there was like NO cheese inside. Maybe frozen and flash fried? Not sure. Hubby wouldn’t eat it, and he eats everything on his plate like a good Catholic boy should. Ouch. I still had a nice time — the eyeball eating had me in a good mood(it was my first time trying them) and I ate both and got a good laugh as the waiter literally ran away from our table. Shock value and all that. And that bean dip — well it was good. But now my stomach is a bit queasy(the greasiness of the fish) and hubby is just plain disappointed. Oh for Lincoln City and La Roca! I wish them luck here. With just a couple of tweaks, the food could be 3 – 4 stars. Don’t overcook the chicken! Do season the fish! Give us TWO tablespoons of pico de gallo! And put some garlic in your food, or onion, or something! How about cumin? Cayenne?

A small chain mexican restaurant that offers a lunch buffet. Located near lombard street on bh hwy. I went here with friends for the lunch buffet which cost me $ 8.95. It was awesome! Lots of all kinds of mexican dishes and desserts and all very good. The staff and server were all real friendly and good at what they do. I never had to ask for a water refill and they brought us chips and salsa too. The dishes included shrimp, chicken, pork, and beef. They also had a salad bar! I was told that they make their tortillas and other items on site. They got a 96 out of 100 possible points on their 4÷15÷08 health inspection. Almost a perfect score! I was totally impressed with the whole experience. I also walked out of there a few pounds heavier. I will definitely go back!
