Who would have thought I would randomly walk in to a antique shop, after all I was leeward in by the fresh smell of potpourri from outside the door, I spent nearly 45 minutes in the shop looking at everything and was quite amazed of how affordable her items are! And yet I walked out with a bar of soap beautifully wrapped in a nice bag I’m happy with my purchase!

We went in to Penelopes looking for a very specific size vintage cabinet to use in our bathroom. We’d never been in before and inadvertantly arrived shortly before closing time. We were greeted warmly, not rushed.
We found the perfect cabinet, from the 1920’s or so. It was priced very reasonably.
We were even able to learn the history of where the owner had acquired the piece which made it even more fun! Our teenage daughter found a perfect hand-​made bag for her knitting projects.
Wonderful shopping experience. Very friendly, relaxing atmosphere.
We’re looking forward to going back when we have more time to browse. It’s a wonderful place to find unique gift items as well.

We cannot get enough of Penelope’s Hope Chest! We love it there and the owner. They have the cutest antiques and items that you could imagine. Go in, there is something for everyone :)!!
