Very good food! Nice atmosphere. Arrive early and get ready for a wait unless you can be there when they open.

Amazing food! Reasonable prices for the delicious food and portion size. The banana French toast was awesome! Croissant is the way to go for a side! We had a nice hostess too!

Lovely location near the Progress Ridge lake. Had a girls lunch date and sat upstairs on the balcony. Very wonderful atmosphere and great music ambiance. Temperature was perfect. Portions are decently large. Everything was flavorful. I had the Meurette Benedict and it was delicious. Excellent service!

Horrible food and the portions are ridiculous. Took my wife, son and his girlfriend in there for dinner. Basically their dinner menu is just appetizers for $ 7. I got the shrimp and literally got 3, yes 3 regular sized shrimp on my plate covered in cornmeal and that’s it. The rest of what we got for $ 50 was so small, after we left we went to another restaurant to actually eat food. We will never go there again and do not recommend it as a dinner place. Atmosphere is nice and workers were friendly but that doesn’t make up for crappy food for a high price.

I’m glad it opens in my neighborhood because I like pastry a lot. They have the best croissant! Good service too!

Always friendly, always delicious. One of the best spots in town. Breakfast is always worth the wait. Dinner never disappoints.

Love this place! I asked my boyfriend to take me somewhere that isn’t so fancy and full of people because I wasn’t feeling well and I was dressed like such a scrub from walmart LOL, but the staff didn’t treat me that way, which I appreciated. I ordered the banana french toast(which I could not finish because it was SO sweet, but still delicious), and my boyfriend ordered an omelette that he said he really enjoyed. He also ordered the sipping chocolate which was really interesting! If you didn’t already order a very sweet breakfast, I suggest trying the sipping chocolate :)

Hanging out for a date evening with Wife N, and we decided to eat our meal at La Provence as we’d heard great things. Arrived on a Monday evening around 5:30pm. The menu looked interesting, and we settled upon starting with a Harricots Verts salad. This is a green-bean and arugula salad with a roasted tomato vinaigrette and ground red pepper. The flavor was fine and as expected, but it was served somewhat warm and the arugula was slightly wilted – I’m not sure if this was intentional, but I tend to prefer my salads cold and crisp. I moved on to the Sockeye Salmon, and Wife N. ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu with Tarragon Beurre Blanc. We shared a side of pomme frites(julienne fries) with truffle oil. The salmon was nicely cooked, with just a hint of «medium» and not«food police frazzled» like lots of places tend to overcook it. The flavor was okay – not bad, but under-seasoned. It was served on a bed of leeks and artichoke hearts. Honestly the plate’s most flavorful element was the artichoke hearts. Taken all in the same bite, the salmon and accoutrements were flavorful, but I tend to be more of a flavor purist with a belief that each individual item on a plate should be able to stand on its own without having to scoop up every element in every single bite. In all, it was a decent dish but not particularly memorable. Wife N’s Chicken Cordon Bleu was very flavorful in itself and the… wait…this isn’t Tarragon Beurre Blanc. A Beurre Blanc sauce is a homogenized creamy butter with a base flavor of vinegar, herbs and often shallots. This sauce was in fact a bechamel(a much more bland sauce made from a flour roux) and had no tarragon in it at all. A bechamel has no business being on a Cordon Bleu, but that’s just my preference talking. While it wasn’t bad for a bechamel, this was a pretty big miss: a saucier that can’t tell a Beurre Blanc from a Bechamel has no business being in a French kitchen. Good ratings for the Cordon Bleu, but it would have been better with no sauce at all. The hit of the night: the fries and truffle oil. Here we were surrounded by wild salmon and cordon bleu and it was the fries that we came home talking about. Their dipping sauce had a nice zip to it and went perfectly with the truffly crispy fries. After eating here and leaving«whelmed»(not overwhelmed, but not really underwhelmed — the food was«decent») we brought this up to several of our foodie friends and without fail all had the same thing to say: this is a place to go for the sweet treats and chocolates, which are their real specialty, but avoid the regular meals as they’re overpriced and very average. Three stars — it was«OK» but we’ll probably just hit them up for chocolates and bready things next time.

This place is awesome! I love the look of this place. FOOD: I got the Wild Northwest Salmon Hash($ 12.95) and shared French Toast($ 9.95). So good! The flavors were great and very tasteful. The portions were great and filling. I would suggest getting a savory and sweet dish and split it. SERVICE: All the servers seemed like they enjoyed working there and looked happy so that was great to see. PRESENTATION: The layout of the entire place is adorable. The décor, the bakery, the chocolate room… everything was just wonderful! LOCATION: There are multiple locations but I went to the Beaverton location. Plenty of parking as it’s around strip malls. Would I come back? Yes! ADVICE: Wild Northwest Salmon Hash is where it’s at.

I am very bummed to be giving them 3. Gorgeous location, beautiful interior. Great French touches. Just a lovely place all around to be in. The breakfast I ordered, Baked Eggs, with hash browns, eggs, cheeses, mushrooms, onions, ham and a gravy: served in a skillet with a side of toast. It was salty, lacked luster and overall disappointing. I did however, order pastries to go, that look absolutely fabulous, and I am excited to try. With the excellent service, great ambiance and pastries, I will definitely try this place again and order a different dish.

Im going to summarize this breakfast briefly for a change. Stellar service with good timing and unrequested water refills. Smiling and pleasant server. Beautiful patio seating. Delicious fluffy omelets with interesting flavors and perfect sides. A buttery, flaky croissant with tasty raspberry jam and a smidge of soft, delicious brie cheese. Perfect mocha. The best thing I’ve eaten recently, a coffee macaron. That last sounds normal, a basic cookie, right? Wrong. I looked online and saw a quote about macarons being made with angel’s tears by unicorns. I believe it. Soooo melty, coffee-y, omg good. Like Vinnie B says… get one.

Before last night, I only went to La Provence for desserts, which are great. Last night, I finally went here for a meal. The only thing I want to do now is kick myself. How have I not had a meal here when I live less than two minutes from here until recently? I’ve been missing out on a fantastic restaurant within walking distance of my house. This place was formerly a Fuddruckers, which only lasted about one year. Five Guys in Murray Scholls I think gave them too much competition. I also think La Provance is a much better fit for Progress Ridge than Fudds was. We sat outside with a lakeside view, which was gorgeous. The meals here are«tapas» style, in that they are small plates that are either $ 5.95 or $ 6.95 each. We got about six of them and shared them around, which made for a fun dining experience. The dishes ranged from good(the sesame tuna) to great(the salmon, the legumes de jour) to outstanding(the chicken cordon bleu, the kobe beef sliders). Nothing was subpar. Everything was delicious. Even though they were short on servers on Labor Day, they did a good job of keeping everything flowing. They also have locally bottled wine from grapes they grow right on premise. The dessert flights were also great, getting three of the desserts to share. All of them were delicious as well. The food is good, the ambiance is classy and comfortable, the lake scenery is beautiful, the service is good, and the prices are fair. We’ll definitely be coming here more often.

I just called to make a reservation for a birthday celebration with 10 of us. I was highly impressed by the customer service over the phone, the employee was very helpful and accommodating! I was so impressed that I am writing a review before going to this restaurant’s location! They will give the birthday person a complementary fruit tart AND they allow you to bring in cake from the outside, which I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled to know. I’m excited to celebrate my friend’s birthday knowing the restaurant has excellent service!

Went with a friend of mine to this place. She had been here before and said the food was good. I think French food is something that usually is done very well or horrible so I was excited that she thought it was good. The portions are small but don’t let that scare you off. Seriously, the food here is good and the presentation is spot on. I think my favorite was the beef beef bourguignon. My father was a great cook and It reminded me of how he used to make it when I was a kid. I would definitely order that again next time I come here. I really wanted to try the deserts but I was too full from two plates. They may look small but they are filling. This place is great to go and spend some time talking with a friend over dinner. The one thing that bothered me was that it was a bit loud for me.

First the pros: 2 stars goes to the price point and the sweets. La Provence desserts are great! Tons of options, large and small portions and I’ve never had a bad treat from this place. The last 2 times I’ve been there before a movie at Cinetopia, the service and the food have been horrible. Painfully bland flavor and extremely over cooked meat. The chicken cordon blue tasted like it was previously frozen, and the French onion soup literally tasted like nothing. So disappointing because the potions and price point are perfect.

My family and I enjoyed a delicious brunch on the patio at La Provence early this afternoon. Great service, a bit of a wait on a Sunday but when I called to ask about wait time the hostess kindly offered to put our name down as we were on our way which helped cut down on the wait which can be excruciating with children. Brunch was delectable; I ordered the smoked salmon hash, my husband had the corned beef hash, both my son and eldest daughter ordered the monte cristo and our youngest ordered the Mickey mouse pancakes. Our meals were accompanied with fresh backed croissants and some of the most amazing raspberry jam I have had. I ordered a white peach purée mademoiselle which was ok, I couldn’t really taste the peach and for $ 8 wouldn’t order it again, and my husband had the ultimate bloody mary which was excellent. Our older kids ordered the fresh sunrise juice(orange, pineapple and strawberry) and our youngest had apple juice. I believe our brunch came around $ 80-ish We will definitely be back!

I have such a special place in my heart for this place — all sentimental and the food’s great to boot! Where to start. I have tried, breakfast, brunch, and lunch here and it’s delicious! I just wish it weren’t so darn crowded which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. This is through no fault of its own but it’s in a closed in place and it’s loud which isn’t fun when trying to have a conversation. This place started out small — I love back stories and this has one — back in 1996 a little group of pals loved food, and I think they all had connections family wise to France — but they were all foodies and loved great food. Their first location I think as Lake Oswego. Then they grew and opened their SE Division Street location, and then NE Alberta, one in I want to say the Gorge. I know there’s one at PDX and then finally their newest in Beaverton over on Progress Ridge. The menu is wonderful — my favorite thing to order every single time is their Monte Cristo. It’s their famous double decker sandwich! Smoked turkey breast, ham, Swiss and cheddar cheese, pineapple, fresh tomato, and mayonnaise. Stacked then dipped in egg batter and grilled to a golden brown. I have to be honest I wasn’t so sure about the pineapple — but oh my heavens it’s amazing. What I love about these locations is that while they all offer pretty much the same menu at every location — each chef can kind of do their own thing to give their location it’s own special unique touch. And I love that. They say they use local products which is awesome — the staff is wonderful, one of my favorite servers wears a kilt! We love that! Their wine and beer selection is nice and so are their cocktails. Try their Avignon or their Melon Rouge sometime — you’ll get what I mean. If you read my other reviews you will learn about me is that I am not terribly adventurous when it comes to food. I know what I like and what I don’t and frankly some things just freak me out and no amount of cajoling is going to entice me to try something that sounds creepy. I used to be that way about duck. There was no way I would ever try duck. Well, those days are over, I had the Duck Sausage Cassoulet made with white beans, kale, sausage, tomatoes, and bread crumbs — it was amazing. And I also tried the Chicken au Champagne which was their chicken simmered with a creamy sauce of sautéed oyster, cremini, and button mushrooms, fresh herbs, and a splash champagne A M A Z I N G. This is a lovely place for date night. Or just a quick bite. The pastries are phenomenal, espresso is delicious, the service is spectacular even on their busiest of days. It’s one of my go to places — and make it yours!

I LOVETHISPLACE. it makes me sad other people have had poor experiences here. first of all, YES, the service at THIS particular location could use some serious help. our 3-top sat in the bar area and we may as well have been going up to the bar to order everything ourselves since our server(who was also the bartender) didn’t come to our table more than twice. but for you non-believers who insist on putting a bad wrap on one location for shitty service only, SHAMEONYOU. go to the division location. the same people have been working there for over 5 years — they know what the fuck they’re doing! NOW, just because the service sucked(at one location) doesn’t mean the food isn’t to die for! i’ve dined for brunch at 4 of their 5 locations(unashamed to say i brunch a LOT) and their consistency with quality of food and drinks is unmatched. Expect to get the same maurette benedict with those perfect poached eggs at ANY location. Favorites things on the menu include the benedict mentioned above, the corned beef hash, the monte cristo sandwich, the BLTA(served on a croissant), ANY pastries or desserts in the case and their bacon basil bloody mary. on the subject of bloody marys — they just revamped this menu and now offer 5 different marys, one in particular is a «green mary» which is tomatillo base instead of tomato. i have not tried this yet but it looks DIVINE. i have however had the«breakfast» mary which, i shit you not, comes with an entire hard boiled egg on your pickled veggie skewer. so, basically, EATHERE(or another location)! you won’t be sad like the others, i promise :)

Great place to grab brunch with the family. They have something that will satisfy the kids(they offer a separate kids menu) and the adults. As soon as you walk in you can immediately smell the amazing pastries and you can feast your eyes with the amazing chocolate on display. I ordered the salmon hash and was very satisfied and ate every single bite, including the humongous croissant with brie and jam. The hash had a perfect amount of salmon and was seasoned well. The croissant also was one of the better ones I’ve had. It was perfectly crispy/flaky, soft and buttery. Ended the meal with the Versailles mousse cake. The drinking chocolate tasting flight sounded amazing but we were too full. Definitely getting that next time! We also ordered a couple of pastries to take home and they were all delicious even the next day.

Seriously, the most ridiculous oatmeal I have ever had, the roasted oatmeal brulee is like a decadent dessert that is delicious, filling, healthy(?), and sure to cure your sweet tooth. On a recent trip to Beaverton, I went to La Provence with my brother and mom for brunch. Located in an upscale and modern shopping center on the edge of town, La Provence offers beautiful atmosphere, friendly service, and most importantly — wonderful fare. They have an open dining room, along with mezzanine seating(a suspended platform with an amazing view) and patio dining — though weather conditions didn’t give us the opportunity to sit outside. It overlooks a large pond and is a great place to hang out for a coffee, pastries, and more. They have their own bakery and make fantastic, buttery croissants. On this trip, my brother and mom both ordered risotto cakes, topped with poached eggs and served with a heaping order of roasted red and sweet potatoes and the aforementioned croissants. I don’t eat eggs, but I did sample a bite of the risotto, which was rich and flavorful. I eat a lot of oatmeal — when you don’t eat eggs or pancakes, your options are fairly limited — and I have never had oatmeal like this before. It is a huge bowl of hot oats packed with blueberries and topped with a roasted brulee. It is very sweet and very filling and most definitely, very delicious. Simply amazing and highly recommended. It’s like eating a slice of blueberry pie. It’s also served with a side of fruit, but I had a hard time eating just half of the oatmeal. Oh, I did order a croissant as well, just for good measure. If you’re in the Beaverton area for brunch, go to La Provence — you won’t be disappointed! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Enjoy!
