Chicken buffalo dip is great Brian the bartender is amazing. Order the Tuscan chicken yummy. My husband had a spinach tomato salad with chicken wow! Brian has been very attentive

Absolute worst dining experience of my life! Took 20 minutes to get first round of drinks, second round never even came. One person in our party’s food didn’t even come out until after everyone else was done. Then to top it off took 30+ minutes to pay and they were still messed up! They tried to make it up by giving us free cookies such a joke I will never go back. Absolute terrible service do not go here!

Decent choice for a meal. It’s a typical «trendy» restaurant in the style of Friday’s or Applebees. Good food.

This place has the worst service times for mediocre food. Waited approximate 45 mins for three kids meals and another 10 mins for a burger and dinner salad… this was at 930pm on a Saturday night with about 4 tables in the whole place. Tables were not cleared after 30 – 40 minutes. The food was middle of the road, Burger not too bad, fries old and overlooked, and the salad gave my wife the stomach gurgles…

First time at this restaurant. I would have to say I enjoyed it. The only issue (which was minor) I had to wait longer than I like for a refill and we were sat by the door on a very cold day. Everything else was wonderful.

The food took significantly longer than the average. The veggie burger had a smoky and bitter taste. It was not edible. Onion rings and fries were very salty.
The waitress was very nice.

This is a chain restaurant; however it has that neighborhood family feel. The wait to be seated was a little longer tonight. The reason, the bar had been set up to host «Paint Nite», a big number of the staff was being used to help set up the bar area and accomodate the patrons taking part in the event.
Once we got seated, we were in business pretty fast!
Our waitress took care of our party of 5, without missing a beat!
I had a side salad, the Mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings. My food was good, a few of my onion rings were soggy, even though they were piping hot. Weird!
I also got 3 fresh baked Chocolate Chip cookies. You can get as many as you like.
Also they had White Chocolate cookies and Chocolate Chip with Macadamia nuts.
If you gind yourself in the Beavercreek area, and want traditional american grub, stop in here for a sit down!
We were seated near one of the wall mounted flat screens, bonus! Got to watch some NFL football while dining!

The atmosphere consists of a bunch of random findings from Goodwill, a junkyard, and my grandpa’s garage – in a good way. Because who doesn’t want to eat ice cream out of a bathtub?

My wife had a hamburger; it was overcooked and dry. Potato chips out of a bag.
She liked the Tortilla soup because it was really cheesy tasting, but temperature could have been hotter.
I had the French Onion soup and it was good! No complaints.
I had a cheese steak sandwich. While the peppers and onions were hot and freshly cooked, there was something about the beef that just sang out «old and dry» to me.
The french fries I had, some were «acceptable» and others were obviously too old and stale. I liked the type and general flavor. If these had been all fresh out of the fryer they would have been outstanding!
Menu choices seemed limited. Typical American bar food with limited choices.
Drinks were ok.
Service wasn’t bad. Not exceptional, not poor, just average.

Set close to the bar and the waiter from the bar served us. He was extremely helpful & considerate & was a step ahead the entire time. Tyler is his name & the girls at the entrance were very nice and made our time here comfortable. Food is always great &hit was just a no compliant evening. Customer service is where it’s at. Cheers!

I miss their old shrimp dinner. These new shrimps were good though… Drink always good. Nice atmosphere

Great place for lunch. They are always quick and the food is good. We always enjoyed going there for lunch.

We went the on a Sunday and the we slow but very under staffed. So our waiter was trying to do everything for everyone. Which caused him to ignore his tables and it seemed to take him forever to get us anything! It took us a half hour to get our check and leave. Sitting waiting. Will not
Go back and have not gone back since.

We came to Ohio from out of state and we were looking for a good place to have lunch. Max and Erma’s was close and seemed like it had good reviews so we decided to check it out!
We ordered the soft pretzels for our appetizer and those were delightful! My husband and I both ordered burgers (tortilla and Tony’s bacon). They looked great when they came out, but they had zero flavor! The burgers said they came with endless seasoned fries, but the ones my husband got had nothing on them. I ordered chili cheese fries instead and those were okay. Nothing special
The service was good and quick, but for the price of the food I wouldn’t recommend it.

We used to really enjoy Max & Erma’s. However, in recent months, service AND food has seemed to be declining. Then we ate there last night. Things didn’t start out well when the waitress could not even get our drink orders correct. I ended up switching to water just to be safe. We placed our orders and things seemed to go well until the food arrived, by a different waitress who literally snarled at me when I wasn’t quick enough to clear my place so she could set my plate down.
A few minutes later, my friend tried her meal, and the shrimp was either bad or not fully cooked. After we managed to flag the waitress down, there was some confusion as to whether or not my friend wanted her replaced. Of course, she did… she was hungry, but DID NOT want to eat the food that had been served to her. There was talk of a manager coming out to talk to us, but that never happened. The waitress seemed hesitant to replace her meal, warning direly that it was going to take a LONG TIME. My friend might have chosen something different, but was never offered a menu.
So we waited, and waited. Her replacement meal arrived, and was ok. It’s surprising to me that we never saw a manager. So perhaps, the issue is poor management. The restaurant was practically empty, so I’m wondering if this is a trend. I hope not, but it will be a long long time before we revisit.

We come to Max & Erma’s for three main reasons, in order of importance:
1. They have a great special «healthy menu» you can request full of surprising gluten-​free options and whole food/​vegan options as well. Combined with their stellar hospitality in accommodating me food-​lifestyle wise, I always leave full and happy without compromising my health in the process. They remember me each time and are so kind to make sure my food is done the way I need.
2. We go because they have a great full menu otherwise, with lots of great soups such as tortilla soup (Hubby’s favorite) along with decent beers, Hubby-​approved fancy burgers put together beautifully and they are huge! They have fun kids options and creative indulgent starters that come out done right consistently like their warm baked pretzel bread with cheese. They have a really nostalgic ice cream sundae bar in the middle of the restaurant where kids and kids-​at-​heart alike can gleefully put together their own creation to take back to their table. Did I mention their cookies? I don’t eat them, but oh my gosh, just the smell and the feel of them in my hand tells me they are incredible. They feel just the right combination of flaky and crisp and gooey all at once, and they are each baked to order and literally HOT when they come out! Wow.
3. The last reason we come to Max & Erma’s is the ambiance in their dining room! Somehow, they have managed to capture the essence of a finer establishment with sparkling chandeliers and a swanky see though fireplace in the walkway; a wacky sports bar with their eclectic artsy chairs in the gleaming bar area and optional bar booth seating; and a warm Mom n’Pop restaurant all in one with the inclusion of memorabilia from the original Max and Erma who started it all, which to me, is pretty comforting and no easy feat.
Their hours are incredible, too. They always seem to be opened when nobody else is, even on holidays and super late, ready to receive us with a smile. They have incredible tea service, and lastly, everything is served on my favorite dishes, Fiestaware, the same kind I use at home! I love this place and will continue coming back until they give me a reason to change my mind.

Clean and inviting atmosphere, its like a cross-​between Red Robin and Applebees. The mozzerella cheese cubes were yummy, the most unique thing on the menu really, too bad everything else wasn’t as interesting in flavor. Unlimited refill on fries… but you probably wont order anymore. I went with a basic cheeseburger (you can choose from a few types of cheese) but the burger itself was not very juicy (I asked for Medium) and well just pretty bland, no seasoning. Meh. The food isn’t bad but it’s just lacking.
The service… eh. She was a nice girl but for as many times as she came by our table she never noticed we didnt have silverware or plates. Kept trying to give her a chance but we finally had to ask for napkins and stuff when we got our main courses. She just seemed disnterested in our table. Lack of personality? *shrug*
Negatives… bland burger, mediocre fries and a clueless waitress?
Positive… Friendly personalities and variety of choices on the menu
Overall… I wouldn’t recommend and I wont return when there are a plethora of similar style restaurants within walking distance.

We had another great experience here and I have to give credit to our server Tiara, hope I am spelling her name right. She is very friendly, attentive and just plain delightful.
Our order was taken promptly and delivered promptly. Another person came by after we received our meal and asked if we were satisfied, I assume this was the manager.
I ordered the turkey burger and thought it was wonderful. Although my Cosmo tasted great, the potency was a little weak, but not a problem since I was driving.

Staff was great and accommodating. Went there as a group and they organized and seated us pretty quickly. I like their Pecan Apple Salad. The full portion was a good size. A few of the folks in our group didn’t have a great experience though. Some of their orders (burgers) were cold and some even complained that the sauce/​dressing wasn’t good.

Great service! They were a little understaffed but they were constantly trying to be on top of everything.
Their Caesar salad was amazing. I was a little disappointed with the presentation of my Laredo stake but it was really good taste-​wise! The only thing I wouldn’t recommend at all is the cocktail drinks… although I truly recommend their cookies and will definitely come back someday :)
