The food was authentic and very delicious. We stopped by during our road trip based on the great ratings and I’m so glad we did. It’s Cash only but there’s an ATM inside as well as other banks in the area. I can’t wait to go back.

Outstanding so far! Just sat down and the salsas and bean dip are great. Assuming the rest of the meal will be just as good. Looking for a stop off for food on the way back to OC/LA…definitely recommend Tacos and Beers.

While it is a hole-in-the-wall/mom-pop food joint, trust me when I say it deserves the 5 stars. Free refills on their agua frescas and our server was very warm and friendly. I ordered the 2 crunchy tacos(I chose 1 beef and 1 chicken) combo which comes with housemade beans(not the canned stuff!) and rice; those tacos are huuuge and full of moist, tender meat. I barely touched my beans and rice, but I took it home in a to-go box… made myself and my hubby BRC burritos with the leftover beans and rice for dinner that night. I hear this place gets packed on Taco Tuesdays so I will definitely be back when it is less crowded because I crave for their food!

Love this place! The asada is delicious especially in their burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service. Cash only but they have an ATM in the restaurant. Highly recommended!

Omg literally the best Mexican joint I’ve ever been to! From the initial chips and salsa to my burrito – my mouth literally was singing in happiness. Too bad I live so far away and will probably only eat here once. But I’ll be back someday tacos and beer!

Edit: After a second visit I had to go from a 4 to a 5 star review. It was somehow even better than the first time. Killer Carnitas burrito and excellent service! Overall very impressed by Tacos and beer. A little more expensive than I was expecting which is why they get 4 stars instead of 5. Overall you get what you pay for and I’ll gladly spend $ 11 on a HUGE burrito and taco plate with beans and rice. Nothing wrong with the staff being generous and giving us free chips, salsa and been dip twice to keep us going until our food got there. The burrito was filled with meat and not just beans and rice. One of the bigger burritos I’ve had in quite a while and the chicken had great flavor. The Carnitas taco was very good as well. Crispy pork with excellent flavor. Taco was a little on the small even for a street taco but the flavor made up for it. So far I’ve found it hard to get a good meal in Beaumont but I’ve ended my streak finding this place. I’ll be back again and I’ll make sure to bring my appetite.

One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants. Flaming hot green and red sauces, generous portions, friendly staff, and great prices. A definite must stop on the way to Palm Springs . I had carne asada chilaqyules, and Debbie had a most delicious chile verde shrimp ceviche tostada. The chips and warm bean dip was a yummy starter.

Their bean dip is soooo good. I ordered the carne asana taco and burrito, but should have just ordered a bunch of tacos as they were really tasty. I highly recommend this place, it is obviously very popular with the locals. They do not take credit cards, but they do have an atm machine.

Great tacos, great service, cold beer and my date was nice! win-win-win. We closed the place(at 8PM on a sunday) I noticed when I got in my vehicle that I had left my phone inside. When date walked by the front door heading to his car, the waitress came running out with my phone in her hand. I thought that was nice and what a good memory she had remembering where we sat! Didn’t have to go back the next day for my phone so I really appreciated that. Tacos & Beer is small, casual, authentic and a good value. I would recommend this place for decent Mexican food

Heard about this place from several locals. Finally went yesterday. It was very busy Saturday around 2:30. Small place with minimal parking. We had to drive around and around and ended up parking a block away. Being so busy my curiosity got me. We had to go! Glad we did. I ordered the al pastor torta, it was delicious. So flavorful. The husband ordered the carnitas burrito. Bursting with flavor. My mouth is watering thinking about it. The portions are very generous. Huge burritos. Whenever I’m that way I will stop bye. Yum!

On our way to Joshua Tree to climb, and decided to stop by Tacos and Beer because our favorite spot Loco Burrito was closed(sad). Started with a coffee and water, well at least the water was good. The coffee was so burnt my taste buds screamed in agony and begged for mercy. We ordered our food and about forty five minutes later we got our cheese enchiladas and chiliquales. So not worth the wait. My enchilada sauce was basically tomato sauce with some salt. I’m confused, I thought I walked into a Mexican restaurant where salsa has flavor. Also, we parked in one hour parking and we were in there for almost two hours because of how slow the service was, and being busy was not an excuse for Tacos and Beer. On the upside the tacos the guy next to us ordered looked great and the verde salsa was very good. But it’s not enough to bring back my business.

I had just picked my Son up from his Mothers house in Hemet, and we all talked about getting a bite to eat once we got up the hill. My pregnant Wifey commanded that we find her a BRC(Bean Rice Cheese) Burrito because she was craving one. «MEWANTBURRITO!» is how it came across, so I Unilocaled a place in Beaumont that might have it. The first place we stopped at down the street(FRIJOLES) closed a half-hour early. They messed up, and I’m glad they did, because we wouldn’t have found TACOSANDBEER! We walked in about fifteen minutes before closing, hoping to squeeze in a to-go order so as not to hold the staff up from getting home. We were greeted with friendliness and smiles all around. People were still eating in, so we asked if it would be a bother if we ate in real quick. «Of course, no problem! Have a seat, we will bring everything out to you.» Awesome. We placed our order and sat down. Within a minute, the very friendly Waiter brought out our drinks, along with some chips, salsa, and bean dip. The salsa I suspect is more for the tacos, being that they came with little spoons. The chips were thin cantina style chips and quite good. But the BEANDIP! It was VERY good! Creamy, with a little heat. Mexcellent! Our food came out quite quickly. My Son and I shared a huge plate of miscellaneous tacos, while Wifey started to wolf down her BRC Burrito. I will start with the main reason I gave this place 5-stars. THECARNITAS! We ordered a few Carnitas tacos, and they came out with more meat than some places burritos have! No joke, this place has some of the BEST carnitas I have ever had in my life! My Son agrees! I order Carnitas catering trays all the time, from all over SoCal, I have made carnitas with my copper pot, I have had carnitas from all over! Carnitas that has been voted«Best» by various reviews and magazines. I have had Carnitas featured on Guy Fieri’s «DDD», and I can say with confidence that THIS place has some of the best Carnitas in Southern California! Enough to garner a 5-star review by themselves! The Carne Asada taco was tasty, but a bit rough and overcooked. I could tell by the taste that if it had been more tender, it would have been amazing. The red salsa pairs well with it. The Tacos Borregos were pretty good. I’m a big fan of Lamb, so my standards are high when it comes to this meat. It had a taste and texture similar to Barbacoa, which is to be expected. Very greasy, so watch your shirt! Not bad at all. No salsa needed. I tried a few Cabeza tacos as well, and it is really good. Loads of flavor, that fatty/greasy texture you want out of cabeza. There were a few big hunks of meat on these tacos that could be eaten with your hands, and still have enough meat on your taco. I will be getting these again as well! Pairs well with the salsa verde! We dared to interrupt my Wife’s love affair with her BRC Burrito to ask how it was. As she came up for air momentarily, she shoved it in my face. «TRY!» she bellowed as I gave it a shot. The beans are just as creamy as the bomb bean-dip mentioned earlier. GOBS of cheese and some fluffy and tasty rice were in my bite as well. The burrito was HUGE! Even her pregnant ass couldn’t finish it! She wrapped the rest of it(about a third of it) in foil, and guarded it like a rabid She-Wolf all the way home. I tried the Horchata, and it was pretty good. Just a bit better than standard. Make sure you order it with light ice, because like most places, they try to serve you a cup of ice, with a side of Horchata. The staff was exceedingly friendly and hospitable; and the restaurant was clean, for the most part. CASHONLY, but the ATM is there, so… The bathrooms were clean too. Weird middle-eastern soap operas were playing on TV, which was weird. Every Man on that show had an impressive beard. Anyways, if you like tacos and cervezas, THIS is your place in the Beaumont-Banning area. If you like CARNITAS, THIS is your place on Planet Earth.

Their cheese enchiladas are the best my wife and I have ever had. There’s a smokey savory flavor and the texture is really amazing. Their Menudo is ok, and so are their burritos but the star of the restaurant is their cheese enchilada. I’ve tried to recreate the magic with their chicken enchilada but it’s not the same. There’s something about the cheese. Also, their bionico is great. They also sever beer in a large frozen glass goblet which is awesome.

I was in So. Cal last week for a wedding and I ended up at Tacos & Beer for lunch with a group of 8 other girls. The restaurant is a fairly typical hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. I was excited to try it. Most of the party had eaten there before. We ordered the following food: 1. Carne asada fries x3 2. Cheese quesadilla 3. Shrimp tacos plate 4. Carne asada burrito 5. Bean & cheese burrito 6. Beef tacos plate It was later in the afternoon so it was not very busy. When the waitress arrived with our order, we were missing an order of carne asada fries. It took over 15 minutes before the fries arrived. The food was not anything special. It was rather disappointing. I really wanted this place to be great. Perhaps I will give this place another try next time I am visiting Beaumont.

Stopped here from a road trip back to Phoenix. Obviously, being from Phoenix, we usually get the best Mexican food. Wasn’t too impressed with the burrito I ordered. My boyfriend got a sope that was actually surprisingly good. Food is about a 6. Service a 10. Good spot to stop if you are driving and need a quick meal.

Best place around for Taco Tuesdays! You can judge a place by the salsa– and they serve two of their homemade salsas with chips and bean dip. The Guac is pretty good, too! They have specials everyday, here are a few I remember; Monday– BOGO on Carne Asada Fries(!) Tuesday– 99¢ Taco Tuesday(choice of carne, chicken, or carnitas*) Friday’s– $ 2 beers & Saturday is when they make their menudo! *The carnitas here are BEYOND. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and tender and crispy in all the right places.(Best meat choice for the 99¢ tacos!) The service was a little slacking, but then again we were there with a party of 12& the place itself is small. But going back to the food, holy cow you HAVE to try the Chilaquiles! Honestly, I have no words! just refer to the picture below & I guarantee you’ll start salivating. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place to the locals!

It’s said that All Hallows’ Eve is one of the nights when the veil between the worlds is thin — and whether you believe in such things or not, those roaming spirits probably believe in you, or at least acknowledge your existence, considering that it used to be their own. Even the air feels different on Halloween, autumn-crisp and bright. Erin Morgenstern I was hungry on All Hallows Eve and thought I might be safe here. This place reminds me of Halloween parties I attended in my youth. The cobwebs in the corners. Bright pumpkins aplenty. I liked the colorful decorations and the staff had cool costumes on. A sexy Catwoman was clearing the tables. :-) Awesome Halloween vibe here! I like to stop here on the way to Indio as the tacos are delicious and the staff very friendly. carne asada taco — the combination of the marinade, seasonings, and the tender beef make this an excellent taco carnitas taco — delicious fried pork dripping with juices al pastor taco — tender pork very nicely marinated and seasoned borrego taco — good quality meat but a bit too spicy for me 3 – 4 tacos make an excellent lunch while I would go for 5 if I’m really starving. Excellent value at $ 1.29/taco.
