Harold’s Home Furnishings

We were looking for a particular dining table and side table and made several telephone calls around checking various furniture stores if they carried the brand that we were looking for.
Harold’s Furniture store in Beaumont was one of the places we called.
Harold spoke to me on the phone and he said although he no longer carried the brand, he could order it for us. So we drove to Harold’s Furniture store.
Harold greeted us and seemed like a likable guy. He informed us that the brand we wanted was not a very good quality. As we browsed through his store, we noticed that what he had on the floor looked like good quality. We found a dining table and matching side table that we liked and decided to discuss the details and price. The furniture was going to be around $ 2500.00 plus delivery and tax. We wanted to feel comfortable in purchasing the furniture and asked if there would be any problems in returning damaged merchandise or exchanging it if it was damaged when it was delivered? He said «if you’re so worried about that, then you should go some place else.» Needless to say we were surprised with his answer, I said, OK good bye and started to walk out, he put his hand on my arm and said «wait a minute.» I told him it was too late because he said what he meant. We told him it was to bad because we really wanted to purchase that furniture and drove off. We ended up at Mathis Brothers, We found the same furniture and purchased the dining table, matching side table and 8 chairs. And the best thing is, Mathis Brothers was $ 500.00 less than Harold’s Furniture store.
So, I am giving Harold 2 stars for doing us a favor for suggesting we spend our money some place else and saving this much money and I think Harold could be a likable guy, he just tried to bluff the wrong people this time. It’s really too bad because we saw some furniture that we liked.

We chose Harold’s because he’s knowledgeable, friendly, pricing and there is/​was «no sales pressure». If your in the market for American made quality furniture from Best Furniture Harold’s is the family run store to do business with. We also chose Best Furniture Company for there quality, they are American made & several lines of there recliners are weight-​rated but the most important item is the construction & the quality. My wife liked the BodyRest as it’s designed to nap or sleep in/​on, it lays totally flat.
