First Street Storage

I obtained my storage unit in early 2009 under the management of Mariano. From day one, Mariano was great and personable. He always had a smile on his face and was always a joy to speak to. He truly knew what customer service was and how to treat a customer.
Then, approximately a year or so ago, the new managers came in, specifically Pearle, and turned the business upside down. Pearle is such a miserable person to deal with. When I wanted to upgrade my unit to a larger side, no specials, no nothing. Simply for the purposes of convenience, I just upgraded sizes. While I’m waiting for the paperwork to be done, some guy comes in and gets a special on the same unit as I was getting.
When I asked her what the hell, it’s because he is a new customer. What the hell is this, a cell phone contract.
I only write this review in hopes the owner reads it. Get rid of your management and bring someone who actually cares about your business and not the free onsite rent. While the property is nice with cameras and alarms, the management sucks, I would give the DMV a better rating than the management here.

Completely loved First Street Storgae when I rented a 10×20 unit from Mario, the manager, in ⁶⁄₂₀₁₂. I was very happy with this facility until they changed managers/​owners. This is MY EXPERIENCE with the new owners/​managers:
My rental of a larger unit from them was confirmed by telephone and with a charge to my credit card 2 weeks prior to my move date. When we arrived on 2÷8÷15 with a FULLY PACKED MOVING VAN we were told THEY ALREADY RENTED MY SPACE OUT!!!
Manager says «SORRY» and «I GUESS YOU HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE» and gives me a great big SMILE. Neither the man or the woman would give me any further information or help. Neither would speak to me, my husband or the mover. When asked HOW TO COMPLAIN to the owners we were told there is NO WAY to COMPLAIN… end of story, I thought…
Then all I had to do was advise my moving van guy that he wasn’t going to be able to unload for a few hours as we had to locate another storage facility. I was charged an additional $ 250 for 2 hours of «waiting time» by my moving company.
Just do your research folks. Check Unilocal, FaceBook etc. for ratings BEFORE deciding on your storage facility.

During the moving process this place was great. They are clean and friendly. They answer all calls and will call back if you leave a message. Very easy to make a payment over the phone with. I trust this company and they are great. I give them a two thumbs up!
