Pleasant space. We stopped by on a beautiful afternoon to taste the beers. I tried a 4 beer flight with a brown ale, two IPA’s and a nitro stout. The beers all were excellent. Our bartender was very friendly. When they get a kitchen up and running, this will be a nice place to stop and grab a bite and a beer.

I am giving this five stars because I think it will earn them, once it can offer a little more in terms of food and maybe drinks. As a non beer lover, it is a little limiting to only serve beer. Even just a couple of white or red wine offerings would be nice. There is no food available yet, but the kitchen is being built. They are happy for you to bring your own take out, or get food delivered. We were a group of six middle-aged couples. I would say most of the patrons were in their 20s and 30s. We had groupons to do the beer flight sampling for two, along with two HUGE beer growlers of your choice to take home. It was a lot of beer! I have to say, my British husband only really liked a couple of the seven beers he tried, but he is more a fan of lagers. Everyone found something they liked though. The groupons were excellent value. Here is what I REALLY like about this place: the atmosphere is great! There was music, but it wasn’t too loud, so it was easy to talk. This is a wonderful place to come for a casual afternoon or evening out with friends. Everyone we talked to was really friendly and relaxed. There are big tables, comfy sofas, outdoor seating, and a long bar with plenty of chairs, and the added bonus of a plywood bar top that patrons are expected to write on/decorate with Sharpies. There are dozens of board games too, as well as some type of skittles table. The girl behind the bar was lovely, very generous, and knew her stuff. We had a lot of fun at 2 Way Brewing Co and I definitely recommend it to people who like beer, or who want to hang out in a super relaxed enviroment and enjoy good conversation. This is a place that should become really popular.

This place deserves to be talked about. I’m not the first to say it but there are plenty of things to do here while drinking the selection of delicious beers on tap. The staff was super friendly and the popcorn was salted just right. I’ll be back soon enough. Great experience overall.

great spot right at the Beacon train station. Wish this place existed back when I commuted everyday from her. Open concept space with a decent sized bar, tables, and couch seating along with a few game options. In addition to about 7(?) beers on tap it looked like they had wine & spirits, too. No food but that is coming soon, per the bartender, although they provide popcorn to munch on! I wish I got the bartenders name — he was great! So friendly, spoke to us about what we liked & provided some samplers for us to taste. The location isn’t the greatest unless you are arriving/departing Beacon since its down hill from the main road but it’s definietly worth a visit if you are in the area.

Damn these beers be darkkkkkkk! Came for my bday with the crew and had tasting flights. Out of the six or so we had I only kinda liked two but then again, I prefer lighter, blondes and Belgian styles, fruits and sours meeeeself. They weren’t bad though and if you are a red, IPA and porter fan, hit it up. They also had some other things available for non-beer drinkers like an array of wines and ciders. The cider I tried was a bit ridic priced tho– $ 8 for a bottle? Come on now Love that you can show off your artsy skills and write on the bar with sharpies, the games and overall the ample space and different types of seating is great. Sometimes you wanna chill on a sofa, or on a picnic bench or a high top. And here they give you that option. Not to mention it’s walkable from the train which is a score point. Every train stop should have a brewery. It makes sense. Someone make that a thing!

Good beer, good attitude on the staff, shuffleboard. really, a nice place. But it’s a brewery, and what really matters is the beer. Granted, we visited with Groupon, but the prices are fair even without. all but one beer was $ 6 for a pint, the other $ 5. Between me & my lady, we managed to ingest two beer flights and 3 pints between us. I believe the beer flights consist of 4 or 74.5 oz glasses — very tasty, and a good way to sample all the wares. If I remember correctly(we WERE drinking), there was a. Summer-type beer? Tasty. A «red» beer, a sour style. cherry? Beer? Yum. A Brown ale, an India Pale Ale, a stout and an Irish stout. The sour was not to my liking, but it was well made — in fact, all the beers were very good and I found them to be good representations of their respective styles, even if I myself didn’t care for one or two of them. The irish stout was simply fantastic. Coffee notes, smooth and delicious. it reminded me of Brooklyn Brewery’s Dark Chocolate Stout, a seasonal beer that varies a bit, but is really excellent. The cordial bartender advised me that it didn’t last well in the Growler, so I refrained from getting one, and we left with two growlers of the Red beer instead. The place is in a nondescript building a bit off of 9D. easy enough to find. It’s really not a bad way to spend a couple of hours — the beer is absolutely worth trying. Certainly worth taking a spin up the road if you live in Putnam or Duchess — I was coming from Westchester myself. Very nice experience — but more importantly, very good beer! Keep up the good work guys, you’re making quite a delicious, respectable product. Cheers!

Currently some of my favorite beer anywhere. The Revolution Red is a perfect Irish Red that I get in a growler almost weekly. Bartenders are great. Scene is always relaxed. I’ve never had one of their beers I didn’t like, but my favorites are the red and the Irish stout on nitro tap.

It was a Thursday and I was looking for a different spot to check out. Enter 2 Way Brewing Company, which was recommended by coworkers. I conveniently happened upon a solid deal on Groupon, picked up a friend and headed on over. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of the Beacon train station, and has plenty of parking available. When entering, we were greeted from across the room by the very sweet, pleasant and attentive bartender. She welcomed us in, we pulled up a seat at the bar and I displayed my Groupon. The bar itself was covered in drawings from patrons(Sharpies are readily available and your graffiti is encouraged), adding to the already hip atmosphere. We wound up sampling every beer on the menu(there were seven that day) and then ordered a few more for good measure — my personal favorite being the Climb High.P.A. People piled in left and right and the suds were a’flowin’. The Groupon included a growler each for the road(64oz of whichever beer you choose) — which was a nice bonus. Within a few minutes of being at 2 Way it was decided that I’d definitely be back, and I’ll bring some more folks with me.

This brewery was just alright in my opinion. It definitely has potential with a great space and friendly bartender. I liked how there were various places to sit– high tables, couches, and a bar top. All of their seating has an open view of the bar so you can visibly see all of their beer options. Like most breweries, they have a large selection of board games that patrons can help themselves too. I was surprised at how dead the place was on a Saturday night, there were only a few other people there but maybe it was just a fluke. The reason why it was just alright is mainly because I actually didn’t really care for the beers. Normally, I like the majority of the beers that I try at breweries, but these seemed to be on the watery side and lacked flavor. Both my boyfriend and I only really enjoyed 1 – 2 beers out of the 7 they were offering. Our favorites included: Nitro Irish stout(similar to Guinness), The Hop project(slightly hop-y, but not overwhelming), and the red revolution(basic, neutral flavor.) The rest we didn’t care for, nor did they stand out.

Ok, really three and a half stars right now, but I have high hopes: I was told by the very friendly staffer that they are working on opening up a full kitchen by end of winter, yay! They need snacks, not just the(Just-OK freshly popped) popcorn. The beers are excellent; 7 beer flight was generous and attractive. Small bar, but plenty of stand up counters and small tables and some leather couch seating, albeit on the small side. Suggest bringing in some counter stools up to counter space. The local artwork is OK, but walls and ceiling need more warmth and color. It’s new, so after introducing food and making these improvements, I’d say yes, a full stars for sure! Best of Luck!

I like this place because you can actually have a conversation with someone without having to shout in their ear or read lips because the music is so loud. It’s laid back and there are games to play. Kinda like having friends over your house for drinks and games but you’re not left with a mess or stragglers who don’t know when to leave so you can go to sleep. Mike, the owner, it really nice and you actually enjoy spending money there because of it. We serve his beer at our coffee shop up the street and whenever we are short on beer, MIke has always stepped up and delivered(literally). And our customers love the beer. He even uses our beans for one of his brews! Definitely stop by 2 Way and check it out for yourself!

So we made a day of it and visited micro breweries. Two way is comfortable and laid back. We all tried the samplers. This ranges from a pale ale to a dark creamy coffee beer. You can sit at the bar or at tables. We sat at a table and choose a game from the stack of games to play. We sampled and played Jenga. We had a great time. This was my favorite place out of all the places we visited. Service was great. Will definitely visit again.

Sadly this place was not poppin. Especially being a local, I wasn’t impressed. I pulled to the spot on a Friday night around 8:30/9 pm. I saw a few cars in the parking lot so I assumed we chose a good night to stop in. But then I noticed in the front of the bar there was a hearse vehicle parked so I wasn’t sure if that was Halloween themed or ??? Either way, I stepped in the place and there was no music playing, just soft conversations going on. And the only people there we’re all surrounded by the bar so it seemed like I crashed a private party or something. Even tho I was greeted at the door, it didn’t have a warm or welcoming setting. It was awkward as F@$K! So I dipped asap. I would totally try it again but they gotta make it more of an exciting environment since they’re location is perfect! Right near the train station!

Laid back, quality brewery within walking distance from the Beacon train station. When I went it had a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of seating. The beers were all fresh. They did a good job of representing many different styles of brewing. They used a tasteful amount of hops in their beers, not like some other sadistic hipster breweries that push the boundaries of what is palatable for human consumption. Definitely worth stopping by for a flight of beers. They have art for sale from local artists hung in the walls. The variety of art is vast, from«wtf I could paint that» to «wow that’s amazing». They also have some games like an extremely slick shuffle board table. A light push of the puck sends it flying over the other side.

Really nice place with some terrific beers. This was our first stop for our beer club Beacon craft beer pub crawl and it was an excellent place to start. I had two beers: Climb High PA which was smooth and very drinkable; and the Whole Hop which I absolutely loved. It had just a hint of sweetness that really balanced the flavor. Mike the brewer was very nice to our group and shared a lot of beer knowledge with us. If you’re in Beacon, you should definitely make sure you stop here. Five stars!

Life is tough and you missed your train. What do you do?! Give up on life? Wrong. You head to two-way before the next train. Trust me, it’s right up the street from the beacon train station. Another welcomed addition to the beacon craft brew scene, Mike, the owner, knows that beacon needs another microbrew. Two way is a small brewery, everything is brewed in house. I had a farmhouse ale-fantastic! And my boyfriend had the pale ale, also a delight. There are tons of board games to borrow, a mini shuffle board, and sharpie markers to draw on the bar. You can lose time here for sure. Food is limited, only big pretzels at this time. Ambiance is minimal, but everything you need to have a good time is at your fingertips. Good vibes.

2 Way Brewing is a great place to sample handcrafted beer. Currently this is the only brewery in Beacon. Mike is doing a GREAT job as brewmaster, bartender and host. The casual and eclectic furniture is more comfortable than jarring, and the abundance of games to play makes this a great place to spend a couple hours with friends and family. Children are welcome, and served More Good sodas. Food can be ordered in as well. Also, Mike has welcomed our dog into the establishment as well. The Beacon Brown is fantastic. The prices are fanatically brilliant. Pick up a growler and have a beer, then make some of the best beer bread ever with his great product.
