We placed a catering order for our event and they were very helpful in explaining my choices and selection of food. I have seen rave reviews on their empanadas and I have to say they tasted delicious and there was a lot of meat in each of them. The place is nice and our food was a hit at the event. I would definitely recommend this place.

I got the pulled pork on a hero. The hero was good, but could have used some extra spices to push it beyond just good. I would not order the same thing again, not because I didn’t like it, but because there is so much variety of good food to choose from. The prices are a bit high for the area, but you can still find sandwiches for under $ 10. This is a family owned business and they made me feel very welcomed. They are friendly and I look forward to visiting again. I would recommend coming here for a takeout sandwich or if you are looking for meats to cook at home.

Roberts butcher shop has the most delicious steaks and prepared foods I have ever had. Everything is cooked to perfection and chef Robert is very nice to his customers. I would definitely go back to this store. It is my new go to place for prepared foods and meats and best part it is close to home !

I have been buying my meat and prepared food from Robert’s for the past three years. The reason I return again and again is because of the top notch quality food, friendly service and wide variety of choices. Tonight I didn’t feel like cooking so I bought the prepared ribs, stuffed artichoke and the macaroni and cheese with pulled pork and jalapeño. All amazing. I had a home-cooked meal without having to cook.

This is the original neighborhood butcher that knows you. The quality of meat, chicken, sausauge and homemade dishes are excellent. Robert and his sons, and Johnny the artist, of course, are truly wonderful. They are warm and helpful and they will always give you good ideas and tips on preparation. The locals all gather and chit chat while waiting for their special requests or cuts and are offered tastes of things in the meantime. Robert is always adding and trying new things, all mouth watering. WARNING: Do not enter while being hungry!

The prepared foods at Robert’s Butcher Shop are good. The meats, I don’t know enough about to offer an opinion. Here are two reasons for the single star:(1) Price. Good quality food, carefully prepared, is expensive. It is one thing to charge what good food is worth. It is another thing to insult the intelligence of your customer base by charging exorbitant prices. For example: A cooked rotisserie chicken clocked in at almost…$ 20! We are not talking farm to table, organic chicken here. Bell and Evans, at best. Which is better than Perdue, but not almost twenty bucks better. A nearby small market offers B&E rotisserie for $ 7.99. Probably a loss leader, but still.(2) Attitude. Mr. Robert is, perhaps, the rudest, or most unstable, business owner who relies on customer service for his income that I have ever met. Incur his ire and he acts and talks like a mean, crazy person. One assumes he is neither, but the outbursts are wholly inappropriate. For example, ask the counterman if the bread(from Joe’s Sicilian, and my childhood) is fresh, and from across the store you are assaulted by this seeming lunatic. Another example: a compliment about the caponata – still the best non-homemade I’ve had – elicits hostility from Mr. Robert on how it’s not made for customers but at his whim and want. That’s just wacky. The good food is not worth being treated this way… unless you’re a masochist.
