I almost did not go to this TGIFs in Bayonne because of the spate of negative reviews I saw posted here. But I went anyway and wow, I found the very opposite: I was very pleasantly surprised by the nicely maintained décor and atmosphere of the place, the excellent service, and the just as excellent food. We shared the Sesame Jack Chicken Strips, which were absolutely delicious. I had a very tasty Veggie Burger. Service was quick, very friendly. Bathrooms were spotless, too. I can’t imagine what the whiney complainers were writing about. It was a very pleasant experience and I would go to this TGIFs again in a heartbeat.

This establishment is very unkempt. Before entering, the doors are stained with fingerprints and are covered in dirt and grime. The bathrooms are neglected with broken drain grates in the floor and out of order appliances. The utensils were dirty and the tablets on the tables have food stains on them. If you still decide to even remain seated to eat, the prices during happy hour is the restaurant’s only redeemable quality. You can’t beat the price. However, the quantity of food is limited as well. So it’s not a real bang for your buck. Now, while I know that even in the best places, there can always be a chance that a hair will fall in your food. But at this point, finding it in my appetizer of potato skins, I couldn’t stand being at this place anymore. If I have to say one nice thing, I can say that the servers are very friendly and they make the stay almost bearable.

1 star only because I have to. It’s 11 on a Sunday and they closed at 12. A table of 6 I was with had the waitress Marissa or Chrissy because I’m sure she lied about her name, she’s the short, fair skin female with long hair and dyed purple hair on the ends, was very rude taking our order because it was«late» and she said«you should have came earlier» after the group of us ordered. No way in any establishments have I been spending money especially a group of six and be disrespected or rushed after ordering food and drinks. Save your money for better service unless it’s Quincy who is the shorter dark skin bartender/waiter who is so kind and professional and cool! thank you Quincy!!! I will only come here for Quincy!

Not bad happy hour prices. The unlimited apps are a steal at $ 12. Started off with a PBR tall boy. $ 4.10 isn’t too bad. Ordered the first app, the Braised Beef Nachos(forget exactly what they’re called, but they were essentially nachos). Came with 4 round crispy tortillas with meet, cheese, and slaw. Not bad, but not the best nachos I’ve ever had. Probably would not order these as a stand alone app. Moved on to the green been fries. I enjoyed these. Though I regret eating as many as I did by myself. The sauce on the side is alright(wasabi mayo?)… ended up going ketchup with extra pepper instead. Ordered my second beer — Lagunitas IPA(large). Not bad pricing, but definitely more expensive than the PBR. 3rd ap: Boneless wings. Tasted really good, maybe a little too salty and the memphis bbq was a little too sweet for my liking. The sriracha buffalo is a little more my speed(I’ve had these in the past at this location). Avoid the PBJ wings like the plague(again, something I had once ordered in the past at this location). And finally the 4th ap: The Tuscan Spinach dip. Really tasty, the dip at least. Some of the chips weren’t crispy and were kind of oily as if they were cooked in oil that wasn’t quite hot enough. At this point I wasn’t hungry enough to ask for them to be replaced. I only ate about a ¼ of this before I finished my meal. Overall, decent. You should understand that when you go to Friday’s you’re getting an upscale«fast food». I wouldn’t be surprised if not a single one of these apps didn’t go from frozen to the fryer to my plate. With that understanding, Friday’s does a pretty good job of this, and for really reasonable prices.

I never write reviews but tonight I am going to… for a few reasons. hopefully this place goes out of business and a decent food chain restaurant takes it’s place. I have given this place a solid 10 tries at best… Dinner out with the kids, bar night with the husband, night out with the girls… The drinks are always good. Not great, but good. Today I ordered the Margarita. it was good. My husband ordered something in a mason jar and he was disappointed. He ordered a bourbon glazed chicken something or other. He liked the glaze on the chicken but the portion was tiny. like TINY! The sweet potato fries were burned; his 2nd side was mozz and tomatoes. again, super tiny portion especially for a 6’2 hungry husband. I ordered the French dip. I felt a sandwich would be a relatively safe pick. On previous occasions I have ordered the steak and lobster tails and I was terribly disappointed. I have sent the steaks back for being over done. I mean, how hard is it to cook a «medium» steak? So today, against my better judgement from the other terrible experiences and by my husbands decision to give it another try we went…(OMG.DONOTGOTHEREONKARAOKENIGHT!!! IT’S A S**T SHOW… HORRIBLE.- I mean what restaurant DOES that!!) Ok, back to my French dip. it’s been about a year since we came here last due to horrible food quality. I mean I can over look other things but I love food and I will not even bring what they served to me… home to my dogs. The«meat»(or what ever that was) was rubbery and literally the edges looked like a rubber rotted rubber band. I SPECIFICALLY asked them to toast the bread. it came back pale white and chewy. exactly what I didn’t want. My sweet potato fries were burned and the French dip au jus was flavorless and cold. In an effort to not«ruin» dinner I tried to just pick the mushrooms out and eat them but my face could not lie. The server, who was very nice and professional, observed something was wrong. I sent it back and I advised him I would never again come to TGI Fridays. he offered for me to speak to management but I refused knowing my «complaint» would fall on deaf, non caring ears. besides… I’m not Fishing for perks or refunds or whatever. my TRUEINTENT is to never again give this place another penny of my hard earned money; I’ll never get that hour back of my life either. I have been to other TGI’S and have always been ok with the food. I have never left a restaurant and had to go to the(Sonic) drive thru next door because I was so hungry. Save your money(and your time) and go next door to Longhorn, or the Habachi Grill or Hulihans(like I knew we should have but we tried to give it another chance…) don’t waste your time!

Took my wife here. And she try to order 2 items off the menu. But they were all out it. Services was horrible… Our server had just brought us our apps and 2 mins later she try to drop off our entires. Smh… she never asked if we need refills. So it takes a lot for me to give a place anything less than a neutral 3 star rating. This place has gone down hill quicker than a fat kid on ice down a 80 degree slope. This is our go to spot when we are in Bayonne and want something to eat. Usually during their happy hour. When the place first opened up, it was on point. Refills came without being asked for, food was on point and staff was awesome. Nowadays, people walk around with just a tee shirt on, practicing juggling behind the bar with the fake bottle or just have you wondering where your waiter/waitress is. We come in, hostess greets us and we ask to sit at the bar because of Happy Hour and half price apps and see tells us to choose our seat as usual and we do. So we sit down, utensils are on the table ready for use BUT the table was as sticky as the underside of a high school cafeteria table. There were still some leftovers from the previous patron as well and we were given no menus. Beforehand, our waitress is walking past us as we are walking to our table to what I’m assuming is another one of her tables and I’m assuming they were either another pair of regulars like ourselves or friends. She was talking with them for over 15 minutes. I’m saying our waitress, because there was no one else waiting tables in that section and there were only 5 tables being used and about 5 people at the bar side with their drinks and food, but the bartender I know waits those there. We waited about 10 of those minutes cause we weren’t in a rush as it was the end of our day, but we are thinking, man we haven’t even been offered a menu let alone a glass of water! So I suggest we sit bar side, but guess what?! We hadn’t seen the bartender since we came into the establishment either! So we contemplated what should we do for 5 minutes and my gf said eh let’s give them 2 minutes before we just leave. I turned to her and said nope, we are leaving. We got up and started walking out and the same hostess sends us out with a thank you for coming, hope you had a good meal and we respond by telling her we would’ve had to been served first in order to have a meal first, let alone a good meal. So we left and went to 5 Guys. Where they actually enjoy making money and pleasing their customers.

I’m literally writing this review while sitting in Houlihan’s. That’s a start. I recently went to TGI Fridays,(about 15 minutes ago) me and my husband were seated, we sat for 10 minutes waiting to be asked to order drinks, forget about the food, we weren’t even asked to order drinks. What made us leave was two things: 1) it’s empty in the restaurant, so what’s taking so long? 2) there were two guys who were seated 5 minutes after us, and at the 10th minute of us waiting, they received their drinks So we walked out. As we walked out, the hostess looked at us, didn’t question us, didn’t greet us or say good-bye, nothing. Also, clearly the manager doesn’t work Sunday’s because there was a guy with tattoos serving tables, not in uniform, how professional? Black t-shirt, baggy blue jeans, and tattoos all out, come on. Never again.

Wow what happened to this place. Food was cold and took 30 mins on a week night to come out. Also they sat us in an awkward booth not a regular one. Our server was very polite but that was probably the best part of our experience. Other than that it was horrible

Ok the food here is alright. The menu is a little too out there for me I like simple things only because I don’t think anyone can mess up a simple plate. What I ordered was two beers side of fries and two orders of their buffalo wings. Wings were okay nothing crazy but the service there is the only thing bad about this tgif. I waited about 20 minutes before someone came to my rescue. I went there for a quick bite for lunch around 1 and I couldn’t leave until 245 just because of how slow they are. I mean really the moment we sat down we knew what we wanted it just takes them forever. Also they’ll have you waiting in the front until they figure out who’s the host to sit us down. It’s a joke. But like I said the fries and wings were fine. I guess that’s what counts right?

My most recent visit here was not at all what I had hoped it would be. Our waitress was terrible! She did several things that made our experience unpleasant: — she took almost 20 mins to even come greet us after we were seated — she complained of being tired and said that her feet were hurting so she grabbed a chair, plopped down in it and tried to hand her notepad to my friends and have each of us individually write down our food and drink orders — she got very disrespectful when my friend said that she couldn’t taste any Jack Daniels’ sauce on her burger and asked for more — when we asked her for more napkins for the table, it took her 15 mins to bring 3 napkins to a party of 6(I guess she wanted us to share) — after bringing our food and drinks, she stayed away from our table for a very long time, up until we were ready pay — once we asked for the check, she kept coming back to the table multiple times to let us know how much the tip should be and how we could put the tip on a gift card, credit, or cash — before handing us the check, she wrote on our receipt by circling the area that says«20% tip gratuity» and she sat down at a nearby table watching and listening to us as we were discussing how much we should tip her Every single Friday’s I’ve ever been to seem to be competing with one another to see can offer the worst service. The food isn’t that bad but the service sucks. Too bad I can’t give 0 stars.

They comped my flatbread because it was cold. So I can’t really leave them one star. That would be unfair. I didn’t like the wine though. If you are dining at a chain in Bayonne, I would suggest going to Long Horn or Houlihans for wine. It’s much better quality. The happy hour is pretty good and I think if I went back I would stick to a Yuengling. I like beer and it is cold here and the taps are clean. I also had some pasta because I was starving. I haven’t really been eating because I am so stressed from driving. So while it wasn’t anything special, it served it’s purpose and at least it was hot. I originally left one star but I am upgrading to OK because they rectified the situation and it’s a chain and my bartender was nice to me.
