Pretty solid bagels. All cooked right on site… tough to get that fresh of a bagel these days. If you like a little crunch to your bagel you have to ask for it to be double toasted. Single toasted only yields a hot chewy bagel. Coffee needs some help… wasn’t a big fan of that. just my personal taste. Overall, I’d go here every day if I lived closer.

I love this Wonder Bagel location. Their bagels are fresh and when they have the French toast bagel I just die. It’s so good with cream cheese. They also have other breakfast sandwiches, pork roll egg and cheese, and they are good too. They boil then bake their bagels so they are both fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside.

Worst experience came in at 1pm on Black Friday had 9 bagels left when asked why I said the managers not here to tell us to make more. Was as hot as heck, asked them to open door stayed«I guess we could do that». Order was completed screwed up and cleaning the tables = using windex and pushing food on the floor. The owner and manager should never take a day off…

Wow! My new favorite spot for breakfast on the way out of town to upstate NY! Awesome healthier options like turkey sausage and turkey bacon and fresh squeezed juices! My husband’s steak and egg wrap was amazing and so was my egg white cheddar and turkey bacon wrap on a jalapeño tortilla! And you can watch them make the bagels!

Taylor ham and cheese on a sesame bagel!!! My favorite thing EVER! Always busy when I walk in, which I take as a good sign. Staff is friendly and efficient. You never wait long!

I am addicted to wonder bagels! The bagels are so fluffy and the amount of cream cheese they put on is to die for. I’ve tried mostly all of the bagels but the everything bagel is my favorite for sure!

The food is equal to the other Wonder Bagels locations, so don’t worry about that. Worried that even though this place is never busy, you will be waiting quite a while for your order. I had to wait quite awhile once because the people working the register were really busy socializing with certain customers that were their friends and ignoring other customers, and another time for no discernible reason at all. I think basically they aren’t busy enough yet to have as much stuff already cooking as the other locations do, that’s why the place can be empty but you still end up waiting. Good stuff if you’re patient.

The bagels are so good I can eat them with nothing on them. They are big, fluffy soft bread inside, perfect texture outside. The different flavors are great. I usually get cream cheese, untoasted, but sometimes a breakfast sandwich. I love the bagels here. The people working here are very nice. This place gets busy in the mornings but the line moves pretty fast. Not a great place to eat in, not many tables and again it gets busy. If you’re picking up it’s perfect. I have tried other bagel places in Bayonne and was never impressed. Don’t care to try any of the other sandwiches or things on the menu. I come for bagels and bagels are my priority.

I’m not sure why there are so many 1 and 2 star reviews. Wonder Bagels is an excellent stop before work. It’s always jumping in the mornings, which is a positive, as the employees work harder and faster to keep the line moving. Gina does a great job expediting. Longest I’ve ever waited for a sandwich is maybe 5 minutes. Bagels are always fresh, and I love the many different cream cheeses they have. Breakfast sandwiches are perfectly sized, and they will ask if you want salt pepper ketchup. Come in for lunch and be treated with generous portions. Coffee is where they lose the one star. It’s always way too hot and thin.

I only popped in for a quick breakfast on a Saturday morning. The first thing I saw and smelled was no bueno. It smelled like bleach and the place looked like it was ransacked. I understand if you’re busy on Saturdays, but you still need to be clean. The back kitchen area wasn’t looking so hot. That didn’t deter me from ordering. I went with an egg white, cheese, tomato and turkey bacon on toast with a fruit salad. Not bad for $ 8 and change. I did appreciate that they asked if i wanted salt, pepper and ketchup, because it’s a bitch when you need to do it yourself. Overall, a solid little spot.

Stopped in for a bagel while my daughter was getting her hair cut next door. I asked for a bagel with butter. I received a bagel with cream cheese. Strike 1. Strike 2: bagel is very bready and tastes day old. Strike 3: it’s a garlic bagel with barely any garlic on it. Strike 4: their prices are higher than any other place in Bayonne. I’ll go down to the different bagel shops on Broadway and avoid this place if this is indicative of their offerings. There was a line when I walked in but the cashiers were chatting at each other. Just not impressed with this location.

Pretty good bagels, but they really skimp on toppings. When I get an everything bagel I want it totally covered in seasoning, not just a little dusting.

After so many great reviews I was extra disappointed in the bagel this morning. Ordered four and they were all not baked fresh. Must have been yesterday’s leftovers. They were hard and heavy bagels. Guess they’re not ready with fresh ones at 930am on a Sunday? I ordered the lox and cream cheese one. Tried a little of the tofu cream cheese. It was interesting. Not sure I would order it only for my bagel though. Just disappointed by freshness of bagels for a first impression.

Delicious bagels and a much larger store than the original location. It does not have all the charm of the original location but it has all the taste. For the bagels, all are great so just go with what you love. The cream cheeses are amazing. The lox spread actually has pieces of lox in it. The small size is enough to use on 3 – 4 bagels. The scallion spread is also amazing. Their vegetable is just OK but that might be own personal taste. The coffee is decent, don’t expect it to be amazing. There are no flavors for it but just your average cup of Joe.

Nice, helpful and efficient staff who never burn the bagels and who work hard. I’ve mostly only had everything bagels with cream cheese but I’ve had the quinoa with peanuts and craisins which is a great snack. The place is always busy!

I will agree with Rich D. I also must profusely thank him for alerting me to Wonder Bagels Bayonne Location. I had been driving to Jersey City for my fix. This is now totally unnecessary. I am a huge Wonder Bagel fan. I’ve lived in Jersey City for 10 years and it’s been my Saturday morning destination. At the Bayonne location, the bagels and spreads are the same quality. The employees are just as friendly. You should note there is inadequate seating. There are places to sit outside and eat, but that doesn’t work in winter. Cold. This morning there was a table of teenagers just hanging out and a bunch of people waiting to sit. Can’t let that happen when there are only limited tables. Maybe put a time limit on tables? I think I counted 8. Glad they’re in the community and I don’t have to go to the icky bagel stores in town and get cold, hard bagels. EDIT: I do not understand why Unilocal is listing wonder bagels as $$$$. This is $, $$ at most. Bagels are $ 2 bucks and coffee is $ 1.50.

I have been going to this Wonder Bagels location for just about a year now and I can confidently say that I have no clue as to what these 1 and 2-star reviews are about. You know the true quality of the food at a cheaper restaurant by the type of people going there: and basically what I mean to say is that if you have the police, coast-guard and other public servants coming here all the time, then your restaurant probably has a good standing with the Board of Health. Aside from the bad jokes, this place is wonderful. Speaking as a vegetarian who really likes to cut down on the cheese, there are endless options: Salads, Vegan Dolma, awesome vegetarian wraps, and even tofu-based cream cheese! The only reason this should be rated anything lower than 5 stars is location, as I would love for them to be closer to the light rail and not somewhere like Route 440 where I am forced to drive. You people and your below three star reviews should be ashamed of yourselves… «tastes like bread.»… it IS bread!!!

I like this Wonder Bagel’s very much. I’m not a Jersey native but I’ve seen this chain around before. I was excited to try it when they moved to Bayonne. I like the bagels here a lot. They’re lighter and not dense like at most other places. They’re generous with the cream cheese, which I like. I’ve also ordered egg sandwiches on bagels and rolls. My only gripe is that they seldom offer tofu cream cheese(on occasion I try to be heart healthy and get tofu instead of cream cheese). If they do offer the tofu, it’s plain with no flavoring. They also offer 4 freshly squeezed juices. No green drinks but rather some sweet ones. One day I’m gonna splurge and get the NY Bagel(lox, cream cheese, onion the works). It’s pricey for a breakfast item(about $ 10) but I want it!

Love Wonder Bagel… Every Saturday after my work out I treat myself to a bagel. I love their egg everything bagel! And they have delicious cream cheese flavors too! The staff is always friendly and smiles which is a big deal to me anywhere I do business. The only reason I wouldn’t give a full 5 stars is because I think they are a tiny bit overpriced for a deli. But they do make a great bagel!
