This review is for the café The batista that is brunette and wears glasses is soooo effn rude. I was next in line and when I reached her I said hello how are you today? And she completely ignored me and never made eye contact except to ask me if I need my receipt. Second thing, my drink was horrible. By the looks of it I knew I needed cream… which I told her to add. There was another batista standing there and I asked her can she add some more cream and she kindly said yes hold on one sec. Then miss rude ass yells across the counter, «There some cream out there on the bar if you want to do it yourself.» Now I work in the business of customer service and that type of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Here I am feeling like I did something wrong because everyone is now looking at me and all I did was ask for more cream… like wtf lol.

My local Barnes&Noble is all things Yes! Or even Yassssss! I literally could get lost inside this wonderland for hours… and I do! I thoroughly enjoy sifting through the books and sipping on a cup of coffee while my eyes wander about from book to book. One thing to make note of is that the signature Starbucks café here does not accept Starbucks rewards cards. So sadly I can not use my Starbucks gold card here to continue racking up my points. Actually what they do here is recommend you purchase the Barnes&Noble member card which you can use in the independent Starbucks café for a discount off your coffee or bakery purchase.

Great store and café. I love the music Listening station upstairs, but it tends to make me forget about time. The store is so spacious and we’ll organized and if you can’t find it there are search kiosks to help you look online. Customer service is polite but not overly friendly, more like curtly courteous. The café is low key and serves coffee, teas, sandwiches, pizza, quiches and of course sweets. The food is the average pre-made fare you’d expect in a book store. A customer brought in her own food and was politely asked to please take it outside. She started shouting at the guy behind the counter(really lady I thought), but Bryan never changed his polite tone. He handled it with grace, like a true professional. I love it! If you’re in the area and have the time you should stop by and check the place out. They have every kind of print book imaginable and a large digital library as well. Toys, journals, games, totes and even music on Vinyl!

Looove Barnes and Noble! They have excellent customer service with a wide range of books. It is not even compatible to Books A Million on Corporate Boulevard. Plus no disagreeable little minions like Books A Million.

The biggest B&N I’ve ever seen! The layout is spacious, making it very easy to find what you’re looking for. The staff is friendly, informative and completely know the layout of the store! You will be hard pressed Not to fill your hearts desires! I adore the B&N Jr. section! Bring your little ones to enjoy this luxurious atmosphere to get their creative imaginations growing! The Café is quadruple the norm in this bookstore chain! At least in my opinion, you can read and enjoy your latte in the comfort of this wonderful space and relax. In case I haven’t mentioned it… The bookstore is so big there is an escalator for the upstairs section that has comfy chairs to nestle in while you read!

Huge-probably the second biggest Barnes and Noble I’ve been to yet. Great selection of books and gifts, stationary etc. Also has a Starbucks inside, without ANY power outlets!!! Hello??? For whatever reason, it’s been my experience that the Starbucks inside Barnes and Nobles are becoming antagonistic toward people sitting around too long. Makes zero sense to me. Books + Coffee = Don’t stay too long??? Enough on the gripe, this place is a good otherwise.

Love this place! Staff is courteous and helpful and store is always clean. I love to grab a late, a comfy chair and look through a few books. This is the best location to spend a few hours in the afternoon. The bathrooms are always clean and stocked. Don’t forget to grab a Godiva chocolate on your way out — yum!

«Books, café, free wi-fi, what more can we ask for»? I have spent many of days here for business meetings and working on my laptop! The café is the spot I hit the most because not only does it open early, but for the most part it is pretty chill. It is a pretty mixed crowd of people and many of the same folks I see around town at other coffee shops I frequent. The coffee here is delightful(Starbucks), superb selection of refreshments — pastries, soups, sandwiches and quiches, cheesecakes & cupcakes! If only they had fresh fruit and salads, then this place would be perfec-to! As for the bookstore that is a completely different story… book selection is vast, but I am not sure if nowadays with so much occurring digitally, books are flying off the shelves, so without the coffee shop, I do not see the bookstore surviving. Today, I came in to search for some books that were on the recommended list of book donations for my daughter’s school. From that list, they only had one and it was $ 18, which happened to be the most expensive book on the list. I did not want to pay that much for a children’s book, so found one of the like in bargain books for ½ the price that would suffice for her class! I guess my point is that why have so many books, when most of the books have to be ordered online anyway! Needless to say, I love the bargain books section… there are some great finds there! So, that is why they still get a 4-star review in my book! I honestly think the café gets all the business and people just come for the window shopping in the books area. Plus, the staff… is eh… not-so-friendly… they all kinda look bored and were not-so-eager to help me! In their defense, it’s hard to be super bubbly, when there is not a whole lot going on. I still love bookstores… just think they are going to be extinct soon! * bookstore * café * pastries * quiche *cheesecake * magazines * newspapers * kid-friendly *

I always love going to this location of Barnes & Nobles. It is a HUGE store with a great selection of books, music, educational materials, gifts, etc. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service in the café is fast. The store is always clean and has several places to sit and relax while thumbing through potential items to purchase. It is a great place to browse for books or just to hang out.

I could live in this place sometimes. The relaxed atmosphere is soothing to the soul. Grab a book, check it out a bit and see if you want to take it home with you. Try before you buy baby! I wished their parking lot was bigger, but oh well, can’t have everything I want. Still enjoy this store.

Love love love the bargain bin section where I got cheap reads for $ 2. Love the size of this bookstore and how nobody bothers me while I take my sweet time to browse. Plenty of cashiers at the checkout counters, a bunch of comfy chairs, and coffee on demand. The lower section feels a bit cramped sometimes when there are a bunch of people, but overall, a good place to spend time.

I have a hard time giving a big chain store a 5 star rating, but I haven’t found any good little independent used book stores in BR, so this B&N gets all my love. The selection here is absolutely stellar, the hours are great, and the staff are all friendly book-lovers. This store also seems to do a lot of community activities like book fairs and concerts. Pretty cool!

On the few business trips I’ve taken to the Baton Rouge area, I always end up at this Barnes and Noble. After all, one needs to get out of the hotel room and circulate! Sometimes I’m here just to pick up a copy of the New York Times, and in other instances I’m their spacious coffee shop, browsing for books, or upstairs on one of their comfy chairs. This Barnes and Noble is a big one and also features significant music, movie, and magazine sections. Last week they had a musician singing Christmas songs from the balcony, which added a well appreciated festive air to the place. And it really emphasized that this was my last business trip for the year, and I would be most happy later in the week to finally be home for the Holidays.
