Nice casual place. The buffalo meatloaf with mashed potatoes is damn delicious! Service was meh, but I feel that is to be expected in Basalt.

Not a lot of options in basalt for late night eating. So we picked up sliders from here twice. The sliders were good and it’s a reasonably priced place. However, I’m giving them only 3 stars for the service. Even though we ordered take out, both times the server never returned with the change. After waiting for 10 minutes, I just gave up as I had 2 kids waiting. I hate places where they think it’s ok to do that. It’s up to the customer to decide how much tip to leave, never ok for employees to just take the balance!

This review is for the NIGHT bartenders. My two nighttime experiences were absolutely atrocious that I felt compelled to let other people know. This in no way affects how I feel about the food and Emily(both amazing) I work in Aspen and came in one night on my way home for a drink. I waited TENMINUTES before I finally asked if a bartender was working. Scooter, the bartender that night was visibly drunk and dancing with other incredibly intoxicated people, so no wonder I waited so long. I had my drink and left after watching him do shots with other patrons. The next time I went at night was with a friend who wanted to go. Scooter was again working. He asked what I wanted to drink. I said, «Jack and Coke». He then REFUSEDTOSERVEMEUNTIL I SAIDPLEASE. Are you KIDDINGME?! At that point I told my friend, «We are out of here. This guy is an asshole.» In attempts to redeem himself he pours us free shots(my friend is a guy btw). I stayed for one drink when he finally decided to pour it and NO I did not say please. If you ask me, «What are you drinking?» And I answer, you have NORIGHT to refuse service because I didn’t say please. I’m PAYINGYOU to provide a service for me. I could very well drink Jack Daniels at my house. By the way, I work in the same industry as you, buddy. In Aspen. For the past 10 years. Who do you think you are? I’ve also seen him shut A FULLBAR down at 11 because he got upset over something. Probably because he was wasted on the job. On another note, there’s another brunette girl bartender who likes to just sit down and text when your drink is empty and makes it seem like a chore to fill it. What a joke the service is here. For an establishment with so much potential, a lot is being wasted with poor staffing. Go if Emily is working. Run away if she’s not. She’s the only one doing their job it seems. I stand by saying the food is excellent.

We were really hungry around 8 on a Saturday night. My husband just completed the Ragnar and I made a 5 hour drive from Denver to pick him up. The fries were excellent-burger ok. Bloody Mary was quenching. The buffalo bowl of chili was amazing with a ton of meat and flavor. The house salad was also yummy. Very nice place I would definitely go back!

We ate lunch here after a morning hike at Maroon Bells. Great sandwiches on brioche buns. The grilled chicken sandwich had this delicious green relish. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was but was pleasantly satisfied. Husband had the mahi mahi sandwich and raved about it. Draft beer selections were good local ones and served in a frosty mug. Good place in Basalt!

Who would of thought that a «bar» would serve such good food? My husband and I decided to go there to grab a burger and a beer. This place is so much more than a burger and beer place. We had their mussels to start. The sauce was amazing and we found out it was freshly made every day. I had the special that was halibut, shrimp and mussels over linguine. It was perfectly cooked. To end our meal I ordered banana cream pie. My husband is not a fan of this flavor of pie. When it came out he said he would try a bite then ended up eating half the pie. I highly recommend this place. You will get a better meal then expected.

Great place to eat! Prices a touch high, but compatible with Colorado cost of living. Wife had chicken sandwich and considers it one of the best she has ever eaten. I had turkey dinner and it was superb. In my experience only home cooking might have the edge. But come to think of it, I have had some home cooked turkey that would most assuredly take a back seat to this. The 911 burger also gets very high marks. Service? Well give that high marks also. Give this place a try. I doubt that you will be disappointed!

Great wood fired pizza! Cool atmosphere… Old dark bar area with big booths and big windows! 2 big TV’s to watch sports on! Great quick service! Meat Lover pizza is delicious… Unless you eat a lot share it!

This place is great. I would have given it 5-stars but much like an Olympic judge, I feel I need to hold one back for who knows what in the future… Man/woman-up and order the jalapeño poppers. Most places don’t have the cajones to serve something this powerful. Their buffalo sliders are fantastic… Great addition to the Basalt community.

Food is usually pretty good, and the atmosphere has taken on a Country-Western type theme. Nothing special on the cocktail menu, but one downside is the beer. A draft beer is served in a 20 ounce goblet, that seems to weigh about 10 pounds. If you are at the bar or a table, this is okay, but if out for a night it gets very inconvenient as it is wide mouthed and heavy. Easy to spill. They will charge the same price for a regular glass with less beer. Service is always appropriate.

Not bad. Order wisely. No pizza, no fried chicken, and no fried pickles. Yes to Mac n cheese, Asian salad, burger, and sliders. I’m thinking they don’t fry things well here. Large portions and the prices aren’t bad. It’s a neat bar restaurant and I like the ambiance. The food isn’t great, but it’ll do. It’s okay. Okay is okay sometimes.

My husband travels through the Western slope of Colorado once per month. Occasionally I tag along and each time I beg him to stop at The Brick Pony Pub for lunch. I’ve eaten here several times now and the experience has always been wonderful. The atmosphere is awesome. The drinks and beer selection are really good. The menu isn’t the same old thing you see everywhere else. I’ve not yet tried a single food item that I didn’t absolutely love. The service is perhaps a little slower than some other places but you’re in Basalt — life moves a little more casually here. Slow down and enjoy your meal and beverage!

Great little place that I tried on a recommendation from a friend. There were 5 in our group and everything we got was excellent — the mussels, wings, sandwiches and the Brick Pony burger which I had. The burger was done as ordered — it’s a shame that’s even worth commenting on but these days it’s rare. or, well, it’s frequently not, which is the problem. If you’re going to cook everything well –then tell me and I’ll get something else. But I digress… Beers were huge. Service was excellent — helpful suggestions, attentive but not overdone. If you’re looking for great food in a casual atmosphere without a fuss this is your place.

This place has a nice ambiance, especially the back patio, but the food is really average. I’d give it three stars if not for what went down with dessert. You see, I’d decided to go here specifically because of the Hot Chocolate Bread Pudding with Marshmallow Ice Cream. Bread pudding is my favorite dessert in the world and theirs sounded amazing. What I received was a grave disappointment. It was not bread pudding. It was a piece of warm chocolate sheet cake with ice cream in a bowl. And the cake tasted like it was straight from a box. Needless to say, I only had a few bites before I abandoned it altogether. I wanted to punch that bowl until my fists bled. Because I care deeply about bread pudding, I wanted to defend its honor and let the restaurant know that they show probably rename that item or else get a recipe for the real stuff. I waited until after we paid our check so that the waiter wouldn’t think I was trying to get it for free. I politely let him know about the problem while he just stood there looking at me with a blank expression. When I finished my brief explanation he said, «Alright,» and then walked away. So, on top of the truly mediocre meal, I wasn’t too pleased with our server. But, seriously, that bread pudding is a travesty. If there were a court of law that protected restaurant patrons against bogus claims of delicious bread pudding, I would have placed the entire kitchen under citizen’s arrest.
