Really good Mexican food. Everything is homemade by the owner/chef. I was at first not sure about eating here because it is dark and kind of divey with Mexican dudes hanging out by the front door but glad I tried it out. It was my first time having a sope. And I really loved the carne asada. Our experience even came with a pigeon flying into the restaurant kitchen and owner chasing it away but it came back.

This place has amazing food!!! A little hole in the wall, but the server/bartender/cook was super friendly and nice. We had the tostadas, enchiladas, chimichangas and the sopas. Everything was delicious, like your grandma makes!

Great local bar, very friendly! I recently passed through Barstow and stayed at the Best Western right next to this bar. I was tired and hungry and wanted to grab a quick bite/beer. The hotel said this place was within walking distance so I walked. I asked if they served food and they said the kitchen was closed. When I said«Thank you» and turned to walk out a guy(the owner?) asked if I wanted tacos and said he would make some for me so I would stay. In this day and age, such hospitality and business-savvy manners are increasingly harder to find, so I obliged him. I ordered a Corona and he brought a big taco. It was really good! Nothing amazingly fancy but it hit the spot after a long day driving. There’s a pool table and Karaōke here, which gives this place that great local neighborhood hangout feel. People were generally friendly and smiling and saying hi as they walked through. If you are passing through Barstow and need a quick late night snack/beer look no further. And if you are a bar/restaurant owner reading this review – take note of the above actions of the owner/cook. Such hospitality is what makes someone go out of their way to share good reviews online. Basic principals of hospitality should apply whether it be a local dive bar or a 5 star resort.

The owner takes this little place seriously and he is a legit dude. Fairly limited menu, strange-looking storefront as well. A hybrid between a dive bar & Mexican food. Give this dude a try, the food is good and he takes making folks feel welcome seriously. Granted, it looks like a dive bar from a horror movie at first — I assure you, it is not. All the regular patrons I’ve seen are all local veterans who just want a cold bid light, can’t go wrong with that! Beer, Mexican food and MERICA !!!

Definitly a little different; a Mexican restaurant/sports bar. A good place to have a good cold cervesa and a good(Mexican) meal. Not an extensive menu, but the tacos and burritos(and a few other things) are just fine. Located just east of the I15, if traveling north, take the East Main St exit, and turn right; if traveling south, take the East Maint St exit, and turn left. About two blocks east of I15, on the right side, in the Barstow Mall(mostly abandoned now, but still a few shops open, just a few). I enjoy it.
