More a Mexican place than a steakhouse, but great food nonetheless. Salad was huge even for an entrée salad, solid customer service and overall a very enjoyable experience. I only came here because of the previous Unilocal reviews. Quite pleased.

Stopped here on our drive from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. Decided to try it out since it was highly rated on Unilocal… And it did not disappoint. I was able to feed each one of my children for under five dollars and the portions were quite large. I had the steak flautas… And threw in a Carne Asada taco for good measure. Again, the food was delicious and definitely worth the stop. Also, the food was brought out rather quickly and the waitstaff was very pleasant.

Excellent food. Chile verde had very good flavor, very tender. Rice and beans best I’ve had in a long time. Friendly staff, quick to help. Burrito very good as well. Would definitely eat here again! Much better than chains, also easy to find from the freeway.

small Mexican restaurant my husband had stopped here once before when he worked in the area I was hesitant at first but glad that he suggested I got a beef Caldo soup and the flavors were amazing they also offer chips and three different types of salsa. Everything on the menu is very reasonable perfect for a big family me and my husband ate for $ 21 and change with drinks. All of the staff is very friendly especially one of the waiter girls that is skinny Spanish speaking woman and have her hair in a bun wish I would have got her name she’s sweet as pie.

Let me start off by saying, «wow»! This place was so good! One of the only places open on a holiday in Barstow, and we get seated, our server, Ana, was hilarious and helpful! We had been wanting a steak, and we got one of the most delicious steaks with bacon wrapped shrimp! Ugh, so good! And we got deep fried ice cream! Try it out!

Jenny’s food was very delicious and reminded me of home comfort food. Portions are generous and staff is very friendly. Mrs. Jenny was sooo sweet. Many options to chose from in the menu and prices are beyond reasonable. I will be back for sure. I had the steak Ranchero and by far one of the best I’ve ever had. My husband had chilaquiles he said sauce was perfect. Will be back for sure.

On our way back home from Vegas we stopped by this spot for a quick bite. For a party of 4. We ordered shrimp cocktail, mole enchiladas, green enchiladas and grilled fish fillet it had shrimp and scallops bell pepper and onions. The shrimp cocktail was delicious it was tasty and enough shrimp in it. The mole enchiladas were also good and tasty but the consistency of the mole was a bit watery. The green enchilada was just ok, the sauce didn’t look too green and it tasted ok, not that much flavor. It seems like it was canned it was missing the spice and the green salsa flavor. The fish fillet was good and tasty good flavors and rice and beans were good as well, although the beans were a little watery for my taste. The location is ok about half a mile from the freeway. The restroom was clean but can use some updating. All in all I would definitely come back to this place. The service was excellent.

Being a vegetarian(and mostly raw diet) living in Los Angeles I have tons of choices. Coming back from Death Valley I was less than enthused to stop in Barstow for food! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and placed a takeout order, they didn’t seem to have a large vegetarian selection but when I asked the server what was good she said to try the veggie burrito. She asked if I like all the veggies, not only did they manage to make my burrito without onions they put a TON of fresh veggies in it! This thing was a monster, easily 2 meals, the green pepper, mushrooms, tomatoes and side of lettuce I asked for seemed as though they had just been sliced. There was just the right amount of cheese on top too. I couldn’t have asked for a better meal after traveling all day. Thank you to this lovely establishment for taking such good care of your customers!

Dang! This was some fine Mexican food. I had a rough time even deciding what I wanted; there’s a lot on the menu. I went with my standby chicken chimichanga; my friend had the pork chops. You know how the next table over always gets the sizzling thing and then you regret whatever you ordered because it’s not sizzling? The pork chops are the sizzling thing. Repeat: If you want the thing that sizzles, it is the pork chops. The chicken chimichanga was very good, and very giant. I only made it halfway through that chimi, which came with rice, beans, sour cream, and guacamole. The rice was extra good for just being rice. I wish that I had five more stomachs so I could have finished all the food and sampled the flan.

Jenny’s is consistently one of our favorite places in town. The food is not only reasonably priced, but also delicious and generous in size. The all day lunch specials are some of the best bargains around. For $ 5 – 7 you can get tacos, a healthy sized burrito, or pretty much your choice of entrée plus rice and beans. In addition to the great food they have some of the best and friendliest service in town. We highly recommend and my wife and I definitely consider ourselves to be regulars.

Awesome find in Barstow on the way back from Vegas. Between the two of us we had the grilled salmon(came with veggies and rice/beans), the shrimp cocktail, and the camarones a la diabla. Chips and salsa were complimentary as well. The salmon was nicely cooked and flavored(~$ 17) The cocktail was delicious and just perfectly vinegary and sweet with a ton of shrimp and chopped cucumber… extremely refreshing and flavorful(~$ 14) The camarones a la diabla(shrimp in spicy sauce) was incredible and the pepper sauce was very spicy and totally drinkable.(~$ 17) Will be stopping here on my next trip to Vegas without a doubt.

We found this place while searching on Unilocal for recommendations on where to eat on our way back from Brian head, Utah. The atmosphere is like eating in a diner, and the décor has very little ambiance. The restaurant has white walls and bright red booths with a crowded sense of feeling. Other than the unwelcoming décor, everyone in our group enjoyed the food. The only complaint is that this place only offers white or wheat toast, so if someone in your party can’t eat wheat or is gluten free, they are out of luck. Having more choices such as, whole grain and rye would be ideal. Being with a group of guys, I have to say that the portion size was pleasing. I was hungry when I walked in, and very satisfied when I walked out. I would recommend stopping by to eat here on your next road trip.

As a rest stop on the way towards and back from Nevada and beyond, I have found another excellent choice. Jenny’s serves Mexican classics, and breakfast all day($ 2 more after 5PM). While it is certainly not fancy, it does serve excellent food at a reasonable price. We had 2 of the all day lunch special(asada burrito and the beef fajitas), which were a steal at @ $ 6.75. My youngest had the 3 enchiladas combo and had one each cheese, chicken and beef. This was slightly more at $ 8.75, but still a good deal. The rest of my party had the avocado omelette and the eggs, hash brown, toast and sausage. To finish, we shared 2 fried ice creams, a decadent treat. Left full and happy. Their menu is extensive, so many more options will be in my future.

Most of you won’t have an opportunity to ever go here because it’s kinda in the middle of nowhere. But seriously, if you are driving to/from Vegas I would highly recommend stopping by here to refuel. It’s a proud family owned business that certainly has that feel to it. it’s not super clean, but to be honest, it doesn’t really matter. The food here tastes absolutely wonderful. The refried beans and rice are absolutely amazing along with the chicken fajitas. Staff is extremely friendly, and will make you feel at home.

Pour les français en visite en Californie je recommande un stop chez Jenny la nourriture est authentique et le service est sympathique. Essayez les quesadillas et les fajitas arrosés d’une Tecate.
