I must say they are loosing it. My wife and I went before the Garth Brooks last night and was disappointed. I ordered off the Restaurant week menu, which I had to ask for after we were seated for a bit. This food should be quick, you’d think. The simple oyster Kilpatrick and Rock fish with corn succatash. My wife ordered crab soup and a filet medium well, light pink center. Well tables seated after us got their apps and entrée’s before we got our apps. Finally after waiting for bread we got the oysters and soup. After another long wait, the entrée’s arrived. My rock fish was decent, but was burnt on the bottom. The filet came out very rare, as if it was rushed to our table, which my wife won’t eat. This put a damper on our special evening, hotel, no kids, etc. Had to rush to concert with wife only eating bread and crab soup. The positives were the quick thinking server and manager for taking the filet off the check. The Kitchen needs some real help… We eat here a handful of times a year and will be rethinking the next time in town…

What a clusterf@&k of a place. It’s sad because this is my first review of the new year and it had to be this bad. I think this place is an overpriced overhyped restaurant that really does not live up to its name. Let me get the positives out of the way. The ambience is really cool, it’s right by the water and my wife and I got to see the New Years fireworks in spectacular fashion. To the downsides now. We had an hour wait until we were sat down finally at around 11:40 pm, to our surprise there were lots of empty tables around. I had earlier asked the hostess to see if she could find a seat for my wife who is expecting because I didn’t want her to stand for that long, twice I asked and she ignored me. Finally I found a seat myself when one of the diners was called to their table. To our surprise when we were called to sit, there were lots of empty tables. Why the hostess decided to make us wait that long while there were open tables I don’t know, I’ll just leave it at that. Anyway where we were waiting it happened to be at the kitchen. I observed the way the food was being made and trust me, diners are more hygienic, not worth the. Over $ 35 a plate that you are expected to pay. I saw a couple of dishes waiting to be picked up by the servers that just sat there for over 30 minutes. I feel bad for the people who had ordered that expensive food. When we finally sat down, our waiter took his time to come, and we ordered. When our food came it was cold, the soup was cold and nobody wants to eat a cold steak that you’re paying dearly for. I kindly asked the waiter to get us some hot food and the chefs or whatever they call themselves had the audacity to re grill the meat and re deep fry the fish. Meat came charred and over cooked and tastes bitter and the fish came out dark and over cooked, overly crunchy like I was eating pork rinds. To think they would either(a)microwave the food to the desired temperature or(b)get us a fresh order of food. Paying that much money for lousy food and lazy cooks really pissed me off. We didn’t even get to see a manager about the food. The mashed potatoes tasted cold and gritty, and the bread was all rock hard and stale, I thought we were eating bread made in 33AD during The Last Supper. Should have just played it safe and went to a chain restaurant or a small local one, but now I have learned. McCormicks, you have let me down very much this new year. It’s a pity I can’t give zero stars. Something needs to happen either bring in Gordon Ramsay Kitchen Nightmares to overhaul your whole system or shut down. Very disappointed.

Just go to the Ruth’s Chris next door. We were seated and no one came to offer water or drinks for 15 – 20 mins. The waitress came when I brought it up to their attention but she did not welcome us or said hello or apologize for the wait and asked us to order. The whole time we were ordering, she did not make eye contact and kept asking us to repeat. When she brought the drinks out, she just dropped them in the middle of our table, not to the person who ordered them and took off before I had a chance to ask for a straw. She did not come by our table once to check on us. I got up and went up to the host to ask for a manager, who happened to be a manager. But she didnt let me finish my «complaints» but told me to go have a seat then she will get me a different server, but again, she didnt apologize either! Our bill was so much and the food wasnt even that good. Save your money!

Just finished a lovely lunch! Shrimp kisses and walnut green salad. So tasty and plenty! Hubby had Mahi Mahi with mashed potatoes. Grilled. He loved it!

This is my worst experience ever. Waited to be seated I’ve 55min. The service was poor. I think the lady at front desk favor white people I’ve colored. This is my experience. Will never come again.

In all honesty, this is my second time giving McCormick & Schmick’s a try. My family and I had a horrible experience at the National Harbor location and was sent a $ 25 gift card to give them a second try. Personally after spending over $ 300+ at national harbor for our meal, $ 25 was a slap in the face but putting that aside, hubby and I visited the Inner Harbor location on a Sunday evening in December. The décor was very modern, warm and inviting and the restaurant was empty besides two other tables with four people at each. My husband and I was seated at a table for four with dining utensils left for a party of three. Our hostess was not helpful in recommending dishes to us do we order what appeared good from the menu. Our food took at least 25 mins to come and was not particularly hot but neither cold either. I have the Shrimp Trilogy which was not worth the $ 27 price. I had three fried shrimp, two disgusting«stuffed shrimp» and a horrible rendition of shrimp scampi. The shrimp scampi was more like shrimp sautéed and topped with canned diced tomatoes and some seasonings. The string beans were very bland and the«butternut squash» orzo rice was orzo rice with diced pieces of butternut squash that I could have done without. The flavors really did not mesh well. Overall, I’m done with McCormick & Schmick’s regardless of the location. Their food is slightly passable but I’m really not sure how they are still in business. While I don’t consider myself to be a good snob, I am a pregnant woman who enjoys a delicious meal– one I did not have at McCormick & Schmick. I’m not sure how their hostesses are trained in regard to customer service, but neither experience was remarkable, enjoyable or satisfying.

Bad service, bad food, high prices. How does this place stay in business?(For a sea food place, they could not even do fish and chips right.)

I have frequented M & S several times over the years and ate my usual scrumptious crabcake. Came here for mine and my nieces celebratory Birthdays our names were on menu we loved it. I ordered the steak and lobster it was cold upon delivery, one of my guest sent her food back because it was cold. The portions I always thought on the smaller side for the price my 20 year old thin as a rail niece started eating my food. Not upscale service waitress seemed annoyed. I hope McCormick & Schmicks get it together

Horriable service and food. Funny because when i came here with my husband, his friend and his girlfriend, the service was fantastic. Food took forever but the manager came and apologized, took it off of our check. I came here w my mom sat afternoon, giving them the benefit of a doubt and wth? Bread and calamari tasted like they have been sitting in a refrigerator. The waitress was HORRIABLE. She looked like she didn’t want to be here. I will NOT be returning

The restaurant was busy, but we were seated quickly. Our server Julia was very nice. I had the parmisain crusted chivken and it was delicious. The atmosphere was very intimate yet friendly.

We got a gift card for this restaurant for Christmas and if it hadn’t been for that, I wouldn’t have come down to try it. The food was unbelievably sub par, the service was incredibly slow and the view is the best thing about the place. Everything on the menu is priced over and above it’s value, including the drinks and the entrees. Maybe it’s just Inner Harbor places that inflate their prices, but we would never ever make a special trip here for dinner. There are far too many good places in the county or in surrounding areas to get great seafood. Thank goodness we had that gift card. Never again.

I’ll start off by saying that it was a busy night of the year when my wife and I went there. OK. HOWEVER, the crappy review is not about the service(which was meh) but the food was NOTGOOD at all. Why is the menu so expensive there? More importantly, how do they get away with it? Sloppy presentation of our meals on the plates, steaks weren’t cooked correctly,(they must have given us the wrong steaks, but since we only saw our server every 15 minutes we sucked it up and ate anyway) dessert was prefabricated and cheap-looking. Whenever any friend or family member asks about this place my wife and I just look at each other, then kindly share our abysmal experience in true storytime fashion. You couldn’t pay me to go eat there again. It was such a rip-off!

I was honestly scared from all of the bad reviews but I decided to give it a go. We sat outside and the weather was amazing so that helped, lol. We ordered crab dip as our app and it was very very good. Bf got the fish and chips which were good and I got the stuffed flounder. The stuffed flounder could have been better for $ 30. The outsides of the fish were hard, which sort of made it inedible. The inside of the fish with the crab and shrimp was really good. I don’t think I’d get it again though because it was expensive for what I got. All in all id go back but I would order something different as my main course.

Where do I start? Please, please can someone, anyone tell me just how a self proclaimed seafood restaurant can destroy an oyster preparation? How do you not separate the oyster from the shell for presentation? Besides the fact that they tasted old. When I told our server that I refused to eat or pay for them… he brought us new ones. Brilliant. When will Unilocal allow a negative star rating. Simple questions you’d think. If I was hard pressed to say something positive about McCormick it would be the Espresso martini. Now that was outstanding. The seafood… not so much.

I had a great time here on Saturday, but it was mostly due to the gorgeous weather(we ate outside) and the great company. It was not thanks to the kitchen. I did not have high expectations for this restaurant; indeed, we only came here because the restaurant at which we planned on dining was closed for vacation for the weekend. At McCormick and Schmick’s, we waited probably at least an hour for our bread(and asked about it several times). I believe this was the kitchen’s fault, or at least the waiter blamed the kitchen. But the waiter, himself, was not without fault, as he couldn’t seem to bring silverware to our table. The food itself was OK. I enjoyed my wedge salad and seared tuna entrée was not bad. My daughter’s popcorn shrimp were a bit tough, but it was the children’s menu. My husband enjoyed his tilapia and my son seemed to be pleased enough with his mussels and fruit. To me, they were just average. For just OK food, the starting price should not be upwards of $ 20.00. I would be surprised if I weren’t back at some point in the future, but it will be because someone else picks this restaurant and not me.

Average at best. It was a bummer because I had been meaning to try this place out for a while, but it just wasn’t as great as I would have hoped. Now, the location is fantastic. Right on Pier 5 with great views of the waterfront. The ambiance within the restaurant is also amazing; the décor being that of a higher end restaurant. The food, unfortunately, just did not live up to expectation. I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken, served atop of linguine noodles and my honey ordered the Seafood Trio and both were severely underwhelming, especially for the price point. I have, however, heard great things about their happy hour, so maybe I’ll return just for that. All in all, just an overly expensive chain restaurant. You’re not missing anything.

4 stars here. The staff was great to me and the group of 20+ that came in. We all wanted to sit together so they let us take over the whole dining room. Wait staff was great, answered all questions and split checks for us without hesitation. I ordered the pulled pork nachos which had great flavor, only problem was the chips were large and not strong enough to hold the topping so a handheld food had to be a knife and fork food.

It’s really too bad that I can’t rate this restaurant higher, but I just can’t. In Baltimore on a conference so we decided to walk down to the Harbour to check out the scenery. It was a pleasant walk on a very nice evening. We decided to enjoy our dinner outside while enjoying a few cocktails. Our server recommended the Sangria which was amazing! I ordered a second drink and decided to go with a classic Margarita, which was also amazing! They did not skimp on the booze! Bravo to the bartender! The bacon wrapped shrimp came recommended as well and they were a hit. Now on to the main course… We ordered the rib eye and lobster tail. Boy was this a huge disappointment. The steak had to rank with some of the worst steak I’ve ever eaten. It was extremely tough and lacked flavor. The lobster was overcooked. The lobster mashed potatoes were pretty good though. Our server was excellent! A very nice young man who aimed to please and delivered. If I were ever to return here I would only come for happy hour. It seems their drinks and appetizers are the best thing going. This place was definitely not worth our 250.00 tab for two.

Another great restaurant in the Inner Harbor. We sat outside with an ocean side view during Memorial Day weekend. I absolutely love their coconut shrimps and crab cake! Highly recommended if in the mood for appetizers and drinks. More of a place to relax after touring the harbor.
