Great BYOB and you can either do dine-in or carry-out. The Diavola pie is full of meat and Funghi pie is earthy with mushrooms. They are my two favorites and I would highly recommend both. They don’t take reservations so finding a table can be hard on a Friday or Saturday night. One time I was offered liquor to get up from my table faster. Of course that worked for me. I was out of there in 5 minutes flat! Not sure why I have to clean up my own table, though. I would definitely recommend Iggies and the BYOB makes it easy to have a nice date with wine or get drunk with your pals.

Looked for a cool pizza place while in Baltimore and this had awesome reviews. I dragged my friends to this little BYOB spot hoping to fall in love. I just fell in like. I had the 5 cheese and the pizza was a little cardboard-ish. Even if it is cardboard, all the cheeses should cover that up, right? I guess all the cheeses couldn’t even fix this. My friends had a meat pizza and the meat was a bit sparse. We ate it since we were starvin like Marvin. It was a chill, cute vibe with younger people quietly chatting and popping their wines, but other than that, nothing really blew me away to come back while I was in Baltimore for 6 weeks. If visiting the city and with a short amount of time to eat/drink, maybe visit if you’re in dire need of BYOBing, otherwise, check out something else. 2.5

I love Iggie’s and I’m not afraid to put all my «respeck» on it. I’ve been frequenting this spot on and off for about eight years now. It’s BYOB and dog friendly which is a rare combination that needs to be implemented more in this area. When you order a pizza from this spot, you are guaranteed to receive a pizza with very fresh, quality ingredients made by true pizza perfectionists. The vibes are always on point here. I love the music choices. The other day I walked in and heard a great selection of Miles Davis while enjoying a couple small pizzas with my date. Like I mentioned before, it’s BYOB but they do offer a rare selection of sodas, water and non alcoholic sparkling drinks as well. I forget the name of the ginger ale that they have, but it’s pure ginger so with every sip, it actually cleaned out my sinuses pretty good. I recommended it if you want a nice sneeze. COMETOIGGIES!

A friend who lives in Baltimore found this for me while I was visiting her. She checked to make sure they have gluten-free pizza, which they do, only comes in small. I ordered an Alice(Basil pesto/mozzarella/fresh tomato garlic spinach/goat cheese/parmigiana) and a Chocolate Caramel Crunch(also gluten free), and a tasty Cream Soda. Sadly, the cream soda was the only thing that was any good. I did eat the pizza because I was starving, having just driven 6 hours, but the crust was a thin, cardboard-like substance and the toppings were okay, but not what I expected. this is supposed to be gourmet? Sorry, I can do better at the grocery store for cheaper.

I really wanted to like this pizza but I was not impressed at all by the taste of the pizza. I ordered a large Margherita to share. I must admit, I was a bit thrown off by the dollops of cheese splattered across the pizza. I don’t recall ever having pizza where the cheese was distributed in such a manner. It is a thin crust pizza but because the cheese isn’t spread across the entire pizza the were bites which just contained sauce and crust, no cheese. I didn’t love it; I didn’t really even like it. It felt like I was just checking a box in eating a meal. That is the bad news. The good news is I had read some reviews about the bad service but that was not my experience at all. The hostess that took my order was friendly, helpful and patient. It didn’t take long for the pizza to arrive at our table. The beverage selection was good; we had Root Beer and bottled San Benedetto water. I saw the varied glass selection for the BYOB customers. The restaurant was nice and casual and had seating options for small parties and large parties. I think I will go back eventually and order another pizza to give Iggies another shot.

4.5 stars Came here to celebrate a birthday party. We managed to get a long table for our large group ~15 people. The pizza was quite good with interesting combinations, you can get two halves of different combinations if you get a large. I shared a Diavola ½ and Funghi ½ with my wife and we enjoyed it. Not the cheapest place for pizza, but reasonable prices. I had to wait quite a while for my order though. I even placed my order first out of our group and waited ~10mins past other later orders. BYOB with no corkage fee which is nice! Can’t wait to come back!

A friend brought over two pizzas the other night… The Alice and the Cinque Formaggi. She said it was good and people rave about it so I was looking forward to trying it. THEGOOD… — vegetables on pizza tasted ok THEBAD… — both pizzas were very salty… especially the Formaggi — tiny slices — some of the crust underneath had burn markings For gourmet pizza Iggies is sub par. On one hand I’m glad I had the chance to try it, but on the other it wasn’t very good. Having looked up to see what these pizzas cost it’s safe they are overpriced! Sorry Iggies, not my kinda pizza.

My boyfriend hails from New York City, and he has approved this Baltimore pizza place 100%. While I don’t think that NY pizza is all that special, he definitely does, which means that Iggies must make a damn good pizza pie. I love coming here before going to Center Stage. The service is always nice(especially since the ownership changed), and very quick. I never have to worry about being late to the show because the food is always very quick to arrive. We split a large Cinque Formaggi and a small Diavola. Both delicious and plenty for two. When we added sea salt to the Cinque Formaggi, it was out of this world. We tried to get some parmesan cheese topping, but they would not bring us any. I understand that they don’t want to add more flavors to their pizza, but people really like adding parmesan cheese to any pizza they order. If I ordered a parmesan pizza, I would still want to add parmesan! So c’mon, Iggies, give us the parmesan…

The pies are honestly, nothing special. Over the past months I’ve tried them, my general consensus is that Iggie’s puts too large an amount of toppings on their thin crusts. And while it’s nice to see the pies being handmade, it’s disgusting to see the guy making them with his hair almost brushing the dough. All the food handlers had long hair and none of them had it tied back properly, or at all. Hair from the cooks was swaying inches away from food and that’s never acceptable in a restaurant. For that reason alone I actually will not be going back. The cherry on top, I ordered two cannolis and was disappointed to find out it was just a shell with plain ricotta filling. No chocolate, no candied oranges, no pistachios — nothing to break up the filling’s monotony. Where does Iggie get off on that? TL;DR: Iggie’s is not that good. A place with such a small menu and a decent fan base should be acing their dishes but instead there is a lack of hair ties and the food still suffers.

Overpriced, overhyped. Pizza was pretty good. Service was terrible, staff was appallingly rude, even on a slow evening. Refused to help us put something together for the kids. Don’t bother tipping, they’ll still chase you down to clean up a plate you left on the table on your way out the door.

So when I moved to Baltimore, everybody raved to me about this place, so I decided to give it a try. First time: Pizza was ok, not that awesome and definitely insanely overpriced. On top of all of that, the staff was very rude. No one smiled, everyone was stingy. It’s like they were upset to be there serving you, which technically they’re not. What really was the deal breaker was that when we were leaving, we were getting ready to clear up the table, the waitress tells us «be sure to clear up the table». By far the rudest thing I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. I vowed to never come here again because honestly, why pay so much money when I have to do half the work and have someone angry at life making my food? Second time: I decided to give this place another chance. So last week, me and a couple of friends went there and sat down at a table of 5. We were three at the time waiting for a fourth. The waiter comes up and tells us that we can’t sit at this table because we’re only going to be four and it’s his only table for 5. I asked him politely to join two small tables to seat us because we didn’t want to sit at the bar and he refused. We just walked out. If you’re the kind of person who likes to be served by a stingy uptight staff that hates their lives, and pay for overpriced pizza that’s mediocre at best, then this place is your place. Otherwise, don’t ever come here. Homeslyce definitely puts this place to shame.

Definitely one of the best pizza places in Baltimore. Second only to the brick oven pizza at Jones fall farmers market. My other half and I shared 2 large pizzas. You can pick 2 flavors for each pizza if you order the large ones. We chose the roasted duck(Anatra) and spicy sausage(Diavola) for 1 pizza and margarita(Alice) and mushroom(Fungi) for the other. I’ve always preferred thin crust pizza so I definitely enjoyed these. The only issue was the Diavola half of the pizza was very soggy and the ingredients actually slid off the crust while I was eating it. Our favorite was Alice — it was very refreshing and the crust maintained its crispness. There were generous amounts of black and green olives on the duck and sausage pizza. The olives were very juicy and not too tart. I usually don’t like olives but these olives were delicious. Finished off the meal with a pistachio and salted caramel gelato as well as cannoli. The gelato from iggies never disappoint. The cannoli was slightly on the bland side and my boyfriend thought it tasted like they used stale oil to make the shells. Ricotta cheese filling could do with more sweetness, after all it is meant to be a dessert. Overall, it made for a great date on a Friday night. Definitely bring your own drinks. They provide you with ice buckets, wine glasses and bottle openers.

I live here so have been here multiple times throughout the years. When I first came here, I was honestly a bit disappointed. People had raved about iggies so I came in with high expectations. Overall, the pizza is solid but it didn’t live upto the insanely high expectations that people made it out to be. It’s a very cute, quaint place. And the best of all, it’s BYOB!!! You serve yourself– overall a pretty casual atmosphere. Service is pretty good. I’ve had their rucola salad which is pretty solid. I’ve had their anatra arrosta, fungi, diavola, pistachio and cipolla. In all honesty, all of them are pretty solid choices depending on what you’re in the mood for. I personally have really enjoyed the pistachio and the cipolla. Overall a good place but not quite worthy of five stars as ppl made it out to be. Make sure you take a bottle of wine or some beer.

Got takeout here. Ordered a large pizza w/half diavola(spicy sausage and olives) and half pistachio. The diavola was slightly spicy in a good way. Not stingy at all with the sausage or olives. The pistachio was really good. Never had nuts on pizza before, but the pistach nuts provided a nice, chewy texture. The red onions on top were also a sweet addition. Pizza was thin and bangin w/flavor all thruout. Crust didn’t have cheese on it but delicious to eat on its own. Big complaint we have is that when we came to pick up our order, the restaurant was completely empty besides 2 people eating outside, and we asked the cashier if we could eat our takeout order on one of their tables outside. He said no. We thought he was joking but it was actually a real no. wtf?

Today I got the Cipolla and Anatra pizza and the Rucola salad. I wasn’t a fan of the Anatra(duck) pizza. It wasn’t as flavorful as I had hoped. The Cipolla is delicious and by far my favorite pizza they have.

Iggies is a BYOB artisan pizza restaurant with unique thin crusted pizzas. I came here for lunch with friends to celebrate finishing our last medical school exam — between the 4 of us we split 2 large pizzas which was the perfect amount for us. We got the Anatra Arrosta(duck!) and the Pulito(mozzarella, ragu) which were both very tasty and in the end, our bill came out to only $ 8 per person! The pizzas are on the pricier side but if you split with a couple friends the price is more than reasonable. They have pizza bianca as well as regular pizza with tomato sauce. The pizza was delicious but a tad oily for me, so I blotted it with some napkins but otherwise I enjoyed it! The small pizzas, which are a little cheaper are like personal pizzas so that’s another option. Iggies has wine glasses that you can help yourself to and when you are finished your meal, you bring everything to the trash area so it’s very much a self service place. On their website they say that there are no rules so divertiti!

3÷6÷15 While I crawled out of bed late this morning/afternoon, vision of Iggies’ crispy thin crust pizza goodness danced in my head. As such, I convinced my family to join me on a jaunt down to Mt Vernon to help me realize this fantasy. I hadn’t had food from iggies in a quite a while… years possibly but once upon a time, I was a major stop on my food porn tour on weekends as a single lady. Not much as changed, I must say. They still offer a myriad of interesting pizzas, amazing pignola cookies, salads, and byob do-it-yourself seating, service. I stuck with an old standby, the Salsiccia e finocchio– a sausage, pickled fennel, tomato ragu, mozzarella, tallegio pizza(I believe a picture of it is featured on the Iggies menu webpage). Eating at Iggies always makes me feel good. I don’t know what it is. The food always offers up a smorgasborg of tastes and flavors. The atmosphere is liberating, lively, open… easy. iggies never disappoints.

The food is definitely four stars. The Alice pizza is amazing and the margarita pizza was delicious with very fresh ingredients. The crust is thin and crispy with integrity. Overall the pizzas were very flavorful. The set up of this restaurant is annoying and detracts from what it could be… for many reasons : –You have to be assigned a table before you can order. It is unclear how this increases efficiency bc this place isn’t ever too crowded –you bus your own table.(they do not accept tips.) –in the winter the heat is not up and the reataurant is cold… we had to ask to move tables away from the window –overall the staff was a little offputting and unhelpful OVERALL great pizza, poor service /environment

I think this place is overpriced for *eh* pizza. I have a dog and used to meet up here a lot with other dog folks many times and I still don’t get it. I can mouth down one of these 13 dollar pizzas in 4 bites. *Shrugs* Everyone is nice — the location and venue is cute. but I like food If I want pizza with an artistic flair, I will go to Homeslyce

Okay, if you like to go to a restaurant and be, quite literally, served the entire time, don’t go to Iggie’s. Iggie’s reminds me of the natural food co-op I used to go to when I worked/went to grad school at the University of Maryland. It has a distinctly grungy/hipster vibe and it is mostly self serv. You walk in, order off their adorable/hipstery blackboard menu, and pay there. Then you pick your table, get your own silverware/napkins, and get your own sodas/water, and its BYOB(which is actually a plus). They give you cute little animal table markers so they know where to bring your food. When you’re finished you bus your own table and you are on your way. It’s very easygoing. Onto the food. My SO and I ordered a Ceasar salad to split, and their Diavola pizza. The salad was to die for. Normally, Mr. B doesn’t eat anchovies, but these were fresh, not salt bombs, and had a slightly citrusy taste. He actually ate a few! The dressing and croutons were obviously homemade, and very good. The salad greens were fresh and crunchy, and everything blended together rather harmoniously. One of the best Ceasar salads I’ve ever had. The Diavola pizza was pretty baller too. Thin and crispy, it was topped with a spicy and chunky tomato sauce, a blend of fresh mozzerella/parmesan/asiago cheeses, fresh pitted black olives, crumbly spicy sausage, and hot peppers. It wasn’t too spicy, and relied on the spiciness of several different components for the overall spiciness, which produced a really nice, rich flavor. The olives, like the sardines, were not overly salty or chewy, and had a nice mellow flavor. It was served piping hot and the cheese slid around my first slice, but when I got to my second it had cooled enough to stick to the pizza. I’m pretty impressed by the freshness of the food here, and I’ll definitely be back for a casual date night with a bottle of wine or two!

Iggie’s makes some really tasty pizzas, and I always appreciate BYOB places. Lucky for them, because their attitude kind of sucks. Having never been here, my fiancée and I walked in and were waiting to be seated when the host/waiter blew by us, jabbed his thumb at the counter, and said, «No, order there and then I’ll set you up a table. Obviously.» Then was dismissive when we wanted to order two small pizzas to share. «I mean, I eat a whole large pizza myself.» Good for you, fatass. All that and we got to bus our own plates, too! That said, their pizza is actually excellent. We got the Anatra Arrosta and the Funghi. If you think duck, mozzarella, kalamata olives, and dried tomatoes sounds like non-stop salty/savory deliciousness, you’re absolutely correct. The Funghi has a mushroom ragu, leeks, and goat cheese – I was practically drooling just reading the description, and it didn’t disappoint. Strong individual flavors that paired perfectly with each other. The pizza itself made it a worthwhile experience, but next time we’ll just order a few for takeout and skip the hassle.
