I like this place alright for a venue, though it’s not my favourite. I came here to see ONEOKROCK when they were playing with Crown the Empire. The venue is easy to find and spot, which is nice– the only downside is the lack of parking. The event info recommended using the Parking Panda app to pre-pay parking at a nearby garage, which is what we did. It wasn’t a huge inconvenience, but I like parking as close to a venue as possible if I know I’m getting out late. The venue is close to inner harbor, so there’s plenty to walk around, see, do, and eat before your show. We showed up just before ONEOK’s set, and got into the venue pretty quickly. The staff were friendly and checked us in swiftly. There’s a raised bar area, and it steps down into a general admission pit in front of the stage. Of course the pit was full, all the way back to the sound booth, so we crammed in to standing room only in the bar space. It was a decent view of the stage, but there were supporting pillars in the way that kept flashing bright ads for upcoming events. It was really distracting. I’d have preferred a live feed of the show so I could see the band up close or something. So I’m not a fan of the layout of the venue or those pillars, but over all, it’s not bad. The sound was pretty good. Pretty standard music venue. I’d go there to see a concert again, but I’d try to get there earlier and get a closer spot if it’s a band I really want to see.

This is the type of place you can go and just listen to good music. It’s not fancy, over the top with people that are trying to be seen. If you are into discovering new upcoming artist this is a good place to see them hone their chops. During the evening I had a health issue and staff went above and beyond to assist and support me. My only regret is I lost my favorite pair of sunglasses.

So, I went to soundstage on 6÷4÷16 because the sound is always great and Brillz is one of my favorite Djs, anyways, at 12:07 when I handed the security guard my ID they all told me to wait and sober up(which I didn’t have to do, I was sober) I waited 15 minutes and they still proceeded to act very immature and not permit me to enter the show. My friend & I came a long way and it was irrational how they came to that decision.

Whoever booked We the Kings on March 22, 2016 should be taken out back, tied to a chair with their eye superglued open and be forced to watch C-SPAN for a week. A-rhythmical, non-lyrical, atonal garbage. Nothing but volume and nothing worthy of merit. Meh. Meh. Meh. This place is meh. Come here if you’re a hipster asshat trying desperately to be edgy, and only if you hate music.

Excellent venue. Love that you can reserve a table practically in the band’s lap. Had a great time here last weekend. Sound and lights are good, temp is great, and has a great crowd.

My buddy’s band playes there occasionally and its always fun to see Novarium there. I really enjoyed the bar that night. It was a friday so I was trying my best to forget the last work week. I was upset that the kitchen wasn’t open before i started really drinking. I went across the street to the subway and then came back. Security is kool they didn’t kick me out or anything. lol Anyways I look forward to the next show I go and see there. Thanks guys.

I went here back in January just before Snowmaggedon kicked off to see Simon Rex and Mickey Avalon. On New Years I purchased said tickets on my phone and accidentally bought two packages for two(table seating and waiter service). I wasn’t able to find two friends last minute to attend the show so we just had a four top to ourselves. Mandi was our server and did a great job taking care of us. It was loud and that’s no easy feat to reach all guests without interfering during the show. The food was basic nothing to write home about, but what could be expected. We had a food credit that came with the package, so $ 20 was taken off. We ordered a buffalo wrap, chicken tenders, nachos, Yuengling, Strongbow, and Grey Goose mixed drinks. I liked the divey and intimate space, and the elevated stage where our tables were located gave us a great view and interactive feel while Simon and Mickey were being weird and doing their musical thing. In the future I would get another package versus standing room only.

I don’t understand why this place is getting such lackluster reviews! I was here on Wednesday for The Maine and Mayday Parade. The place was sold out. We walked in about 30 minutes before the show, had no issues getting through security, and ended up with a decent view from the back(we were very close to the front by the end of the show). The staff was so friendly and nice(my only complaint being that the bar didn’t hand out cups of water, but instead, just cups of ice). The venue itself is very small inside, but it made for a nice intimate concert experience. Security was unbelievable(and I mean this in a good way!) There were tons of crowd surfers, but the guys in the front were great about warning those of us in the front when one was coming our way. They carefully put everyone down. I even saw them bobbing their heads to the music. I felt safe and it was a great atmosphere overall. The sound was great and I could hear everything well! I would go back to this venue in a heartbeat. Great, friendly staff and a fabulous night overall!

Baltimore Soundstage is a typical music venue. Dark and grungy. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done as a concert venue. I’ve only been here once and it was to see Nick Carter(of Backstreet Boys) so maybe it’s not the best representation of a usual BS night. The crowd, obviously mostly females in their 30s, was pretty tame. No bloodcurdling teenybopper screams or too many hands up in the air blocking your line of sight or drunk assholes. The sound system was decent. Heard him just fine. The show was general admission, but it’s not a very big venue so I had a pretty good view of the performer wherever I stood. The bar by the left side of the stage had no wait. There is seating in the back where you can order food and drink, but I didn’t order anything. The bathroom is filled with hair products, fruity sprays, and what not. I guess people get all smelly and messed up at these things! There is also an attendant who gives you soap and a paper towel. I don’t see the point in this. I can get it on my own. If you’re lucky, find street parking. Garage parking is expensive. *I didn’t realize there is a parking discount until reading other reviews so make sure to ask the staff at the front desk about it!

This place is garbage. Rude«staff» that doesn’t even use their own brain/common sense. Soundstage is dirty. Kids on drugs were walking around harassing people. Their lights are angled to make you feel like your eyes have been assaulted and you may go blind. Security only cares about people trying to get on stage or stage diving(God forbid at a deathcore/metal show). I’ve been to much better venues and after wasting a ton of money at Soundstage for a second time, I’M DONE. Never going back! I don’t even think the bands enjoy being there.

I’ve been here twice now, and both times the venue has served up a lackluster experience(this is independent of the visiting acts at Soundstage, Yann Tiersen & Chippendales, who were both great). The drink selection is pretty average. Might suit your grandma’s generation, BUTNOTUSYOUNG, HIPFOLKS. Where dem craft beers at??? The service also takes FOREVER. I get that they’re trying to cut costs by keeping manpower low, but there is a limit. It shouldn’t take 20 minutes to get a drink. Also, the menu selection was just not up my alley. 1) There are absolutely no healthy options and 2) if there are no healthy options at least have FRIES D: Lastly, the kitschy bathroom is kind of fun, but usually I go into a ladies’ bathroom expecting to interact with NOBODY, but the service attendant in the bathroom dashes those expectations with her nonchalant spritzes of floral soap and casual offerings of ALLTHETOILETRIES. I guess I am more of a grumpy grandma than I give myself credit for…

If you come here, expect to be packed in like sardines and seldom served. They only had 1 waiter for a huge section. It was clear that he was overworked and overwhelmed. I almost died of starvation! If you do come here, come strictly for the entertainment. I have to admit that the entertainment was wonderful. Great sound and stage set up made for a memorable musical experience. Just don’t plan to eat much. Go to Shake Shake or Panera Bread around the corner before coming here.. Or you will be starving throughout the show. Trust and believe that. Remember to save your ticket because you’ll receive a discount at the parking garage(I parked at Pier) when you show your ticket to the garage attendant.

If you blink you can miss this place. On the outside, there is just a small awning. Once you step inside, you have a great setting for concerts. There is limited seating but there isn’t a bad view in the venue. The food items are limited and priced for theme parks. You can park at Pier 5 parking a block away for $ 7 instead of $ 16. Just make sure you get the actual coupon from the venue instead of having a staffer tell you to just say you visited the venue. The garage employee was nice about not making me walk back to the sound stage when I didn’t have the stamp or coupon. I was told that the venue frequently runs out of the validation coupons and leaves it up to the customer to get it. Having a comment written on your parking pass or taking a flyer from the club isn’t good enough. You need the actual $ 7 coupon to slip into the parking pay machine. This place is worth a visit.

I’ve seen a handful of shows here. Sound is good and my vertically-challenged self can see fairly well, which is a plus. Drinks are pretty expensive and the bartenders are usually jerks. I don’t know why you’re giving me ‘tude when I’m the one paying $ 12 for a sippy cup amount of a mixed drink

I enjoyed the Biz Markie concert here. Entrance was easy. Security were respectful. However, I had my problem with the bartender on the left back. It was a man who skipped me several times. I got so angry that my friends and I that were willing to spend a great deal of money refused to purchase anything at the bar. We then chose to try the other bar in which we had no problem. A friendly woman bartender was very pleasant. We order and she supplied. And we tipped her well.

Small/medium venue with seating area in the back that has a clear view of the stage. I went here by myself for a show last Saturday and was unfortunately smothered on the GA floor. If I had known that there were seating tickets, I would have purchased them instead of GA tix! To all of the shorties who are below 5’4″, please come earlier for a better view of the stage bc I had trouble seeing the main act in 4th/5th/6th row from the barricade. Sound system in general was nothing extraordinary, it was just overwhelmingly loud and I find that it watered down the clarity of the music. 6.5÷10. But the bass of the sound system was crazy strong holy sh*t!!! I felt every single hair on my body vibrate it was intense!!! Two thumbs up for bass. Parking garage can be found @ the venue entrance in Market Pl and is located on the left beside the venue. The venue offers a discount voucher at this garage! Come and park after 4pm and the parking is just $ 10!!! Just make sure you get a discount ticket from the venue staff before you leave.

I’ve been to Soundstage a few times now. It’s a medium sized venue, but feels plenty roomy. The place is setup so that I’ve never had any problems viewing the stage even though I’m short. The prices on drinks are crazy steep, so I just have a couple before I go. The staff have always been pleasant. The security aren’t looking to harass or shake anyone down. But they step in when it’s warranted. Parking in the garage next door is convenient and not too pricey if validated.

Steel Panther and Rival Sons tore it up. Once again, Baltimore Soundstage is a great venue to get up close and personal with your favorite recording artists. Not a bad angle from front to back. if what they are claiming in 2015 is true, that rock is indeed dead, thank goodness Baltimore didn’t get the memo because I’m happy to see that the rock flag still waves in Maryland. Nice to see Steel Panther no longer doing covers as at this point they have enough albums of original material and the Baltimore crowd ate it up. They were singing every song which even took Steel Panther by surprise.

I saw Anthony Green here a while back. The lighting was good, the sound was great, the beer prices were doable– I call that a recipe for coming back!
