I’ve ordered food here several times but this will be my last. Multiple times my order has been wrong, deliveries take forever, and bad customer service over the phone. Today I bit into my unwich to find a small bug in the lettuce. That’s the line for me.

Technically, it’s only a sandwich shop but I could eat a Pepe every single day. When I worked out of town for three years, I stopped for a Pepe every Monday on the way out of STL True dedication. I live on coffee and had to stop somewhere else for that. Even truer dedication. Paleo hates Jimmy Johns’ guts. But everything in moderation. My order was freaky fast. The employees were upbeat. All the decorative signs are either hilarious or thought provoking. There’s a place for everything and everything in its place. It’s tidy. They do need coffee on their menu. I see they just opened one 5 minutes from my house. Day made.

Worst experience I have ever had, rude employees and the only thing I can say for their service is the speed of it. I do not like writing bad complaints and if I could remember the name of the employee I would blast him on here. But not only will I avoid doing business with this location, I will let everyone know how awful my experience was.

Used their online ordering for the first time today at this location. BIGMISTAKE! They screwed up 1⁄3 of the sandwiches. Sometimes freaky fast = FREAKY F#%#‘d up!

This is my go-to on-the-go food place that fits my protein/veggie lunch quest. I love their unwich(lettuce for bread) and they are happy to accommodate my request to blend 2 of their sandwich ingredients together into one. Everything is always fresh without the food chemical smell that often comes with«fresh» fast food. And I love their«free smells» neon sign.(Can you tell that I believe that smell is a big part of eating?) The staff always has a great attitude, too, as if they’re saving the world from hunger. This is high praise, as I never eat at other fast food places.

People should be very careful who they hire. I generally love JJ’s speed and subs but because of one rude employee I guaranteed I’ll never visit this location again. I ordered to go sandwiches and chips for 3 people today and when I asked for a bag(why someone would give a person 6 unbagged items in the first place I don’t know) they pointed at a pile of bags(behind the counter) and told me to bag them myself. Never again for this location.

Doughy white bread subs which remind me of a moment I had as a child. I’m picturing a trip to a roadside deli in South Dakota where the bologna and american cheese bound between white sponge bread soothed my youthful hunger. Alas… I’ve grown up a bit. The vegetarian sub(yes, I’m calling it a sub because it doesn’t deserve the relationship to sandwich) was slathered in mayo, cheese, and raw vegetables. Once again. The ground the Earth of a sandwich is built upon the bread. Jimmy John’s doesn’t give us the ground to stand on. Theirs is a mass produced, plasticized, version of bread. The bread is the medium upon which sandwich art is comprised(and I know I’m not the first to state this exact sentence… it’s practically a cliché‘ these days) To make real bread is an art, requiring strong elbows and an attractive amount of tricep fat. I like to think there are people out there who live for nothing more than to make the bread which arrives hot and melty to my lips. I’ve gone on far too long with this review. Long live real bread. !

Nancy, I’d suggest giving it another try… What you wanted was the #11 Country Club. The guy was right in saying there’s no such thing as a «slim classic». {Not in Champaign either. I worked for one of the corporate stores for a year} The reason that you got what you got was that you said«slim» which is a category of sandwich there that has nothing(other than meat and cheese) on it… so once the guy heard the word slim, he thought that’s what you wanted. I do agree that he certainly should have been more friendly and helpful though. Sorry the dude was rude, but the sandwiches are usually delicious…

…apparently, the only service here is speed… i walked in for my first visit to JJ’s, & ordered a sandwich suggested by a friend in champaign, IL, who visits JJ’s regularly. he said, ‘get the sliim classic — it’s got turkey, ham, cheese, lettuce, real mayo, etc. so that’s what i ordered. here’s the response i got from the counter: ‘we don’t have that… there’s no such thing as a classic… give me a number… i need a number…#1 is blah-blah, #2 is blah-blah, #3 is blah-blah, #4 is blah-blah…there’s no such thing as classic… never heard of that at any jimmy john’s…i need a number… give me a number… we don’t have classic… there’s no such thing… i’ve never heard of that at any jimmy john’s…i need a number… by now my head was spinning, so i blurted out ‘turkey’; she said #4, some guy wrapped it & handed it to me in about 15 seconds. got home. it had turkey & cheese. period. dry bread. no lettuce, no mayo, no drsg of any kind, nor was i asked about anything… just given the bum’s rush… won’t go back, thank you!
