I went today to FINALLY get annuals. I’ve always followed the rule of don’t plant annuals until after Mother’s Day, just in case there’s a late snow or frost. When I pulled in, a nice gentleman directed me to the annuals, and I set to work reviewing their offerings. This place is huge. Three acres, if you can imagine, less than a block south of Manchester Road. Old Ballwin Road is the street you would take to get to The Pointe. They have annuals, perennials, shrubs, bushes, decorative and ornamental shrubs, grasses, trees. It’s an amazing mix of things to plant. They do landscaping and all sorts of other ground beautiful helpfulness. The annuals offerings were abundant. I favor the six-packs. I know they’re small, but they cost less, and they will grow. But I always check to ensure there are really six plants, ’cause that’s not always the case — Mother Nature being what she is. Once I’d amassed my desired purchases, I asked what to do, and a woman said just to set them down by my car. She asked me what I had gotten, and I told her. That was that. I went inside and paid for my purchases, mentioning that I saw their ad in the West County newspaper, so she would know their advertising dollars were helping. I ended up with 9 six-packs of bodacious colors I’m going to mix up and a bag of potting soil(with Miracle Gro, who can mess that up?) for $ 42.42. And the gentleman put all my purchases in the trunk. Thank you so much.
