I went here for lunch with my partner. The food was ok, not great or amazing and their ice tea tasted like it came from a hose in the canal. Maybe I got them on a bad day but because the service was so good I will get them another chance.

We had a pleasant dinner and a few beers while we were in town, with a lovely view of the river(until it got dark!). Beer selection was nice which is good because my husband and I have different tastes! Service was good and attentive. Since we plan to move to the area, we’ll certainly be back and look forward to checking it out in the summer!

We arrived during prime lunchtime to a veryyyy quiet restaurant. With plenty of tables to choose from we opted to sit outside on the patio. There’s nothing wrong with the interior — bar, booths, etc but it was a nice outside plus the view is nice. Spending the hour watching boats come and go through the lock is kinda relaxing. Once the waitresses noticed us sit down they were quick to bring out water cups and take our orders. I ordered the Grilled Chipotle Chicken Panini — grilled chicken breast with cheddar, bacon and chipotle sauce on a ciabatta roll($ 8.99). The sandwich was served with a nice helping of fries but they were sortof forgettable. Next time I’d probably ask for a side salad instead. The sandwich was really good, though. Juicy chicken, good amount of toppings all on crispy bread. The rest of my group seemed to enjoy their meals… the fish fry sandwich was huge and could easily have been split into two meals. There was nothing about the meal that was particularly amazing but it was still solid… if you’re looking for a no frills dining experience in the village of B’ville — then Lock 24 is your place.

Most likely the best restarant in, Bville. In the summer it’s the best sitting outside with the river and lock right next door. I really like the food here. Very consistent. Chowder is excellent so is clams casino and fish sandwich. Also though Steak sandwich and enters. Salads excellent. Wednesday is half price bottles of wine. Freindly bar. Great service. This is an old time Bville favorite

Visiting from out of town. I went to Lock 24 for takeout. Bartender took my order and was very helpful. Service was speedy for a Friday evening. I ordered a «Lover», broiled lobster tail, crab legs, scallops, shrimp and steamed clams, the most expensive item on the menu, and an additional entrée for my wife. When I got back to the hotel, I found no drawn butter for my meal. I called and asked for a manager. I think it was Tom that came to the phone, but I could be wrong. I explained the problem and asked what he could do to rectify the situation. His response was«LIFEISTOOSHORTTOWORRYABOUT2oz. OFBUTTER.». There is nothing I can do to help you. When I told him that I was unhappy about spending $ 60 on dinner that was not complete, he simply repeated«LIFE is too short and hung up on me. I am sure it would have been different if I had dined in the restaurant, but I certainly did not expect a manager to act like that.

Great restaurant on the river! We had a exquisite dinner at this restaurant located next to the very scenic Baldwinsville lock and public docks. The food was amazing and the staff was great. A little pricey but definitely worth it for the excellent evening it creates.

Had a late dinner here with friends while in town for the night. The menu was filled with pretty standard fare, but I went with the chicken topped with cheese and bacon. Not paying attention, I was surprised to see it arrive on a bun. What a great sandwich! Only downfall was the weak iced tea. Good spot.

Went in for dinner tonight, not too busy, nice night but my niece wanted to sit inside so that’s what we did. 1st off, server was nice, very efficient. Drinks, salads and bread came right away. Bread was fresh, and salads were as well. Entrees took a while to arrive, not the servers fault. The food? Well, my Dad had the chicken Oscar, chicken breast with crab, asparagus and hollandaise, he LOVED it. My sister got the fried scallops, she loved hers as well. My niece had the fried clams, also very good. I had the broadly seafood platter, eh, not so good. the haddock was okay, the shrimp were very small and overlooked and the scallops were good, just not enough for the price. Everything but the shrimp were cooked well but not seasoned well at all. All in all, a decent time, next time I will stick to the fried fish.

I went to Lock 24 twice in the span of a week. The first time it was excellent. I had salmon and green beans. They were done to perfection and delicious. But tonight I was very disappointed. I got the same meal, but the salmon was way over-seasoned(too salty) and in a puddle of oil. Tonight’s green beans were overcooked and also bathed in oil. I was ready to write a great review, but I guess I’m glad I waited until now. Well, at least the bread was good.

I went here with my family to celebrate the day that Jesus walked and much like the people that recounted that fiction, I witnessed a slew of things for the very first time. We sat as a table of 10 and a midst multiple conversations, I heard a faint noise that slowly became louder, louder and LOUDER. It turned out he was the manager and much like he had a lack of discipline with his behavior and manners, his staff followed their leader into entropy and despair. The first part about brunch that is the easiest for a restaurant to comply with is coffee. With 5 cups of coffee at the table the waitress had a difficult time keeping them filled as her social media presence was necessary, those cats on instagram won’t like themselves will they? The best part of the meal was dessert but next time i think we will just desert the table.

This restaurant unfortunately missed the mark. The inside of the restaurant was nearly empty on a Monday evening, but we were sat right next to the POS to the point that our conversations were interrupted by server chatter, everything from conversations about orders to «I’m going to the bathroom, watch my tables.» We were not in the mood for seafood, which perhaps might have been the way to go since it seems like they are a seafood-focused on-the-water restaurant. My colleague got a capellini with red sauce and eggplant, I got a chicken pesto penne entrée. First thing I noticed was that my entrée was way larger than his, it seemed like the portion may have been off. It was a little embarrassing that it took me twice as long to eat the entrée that I did not even finish. This should perhaps be rethought. The red sauce was nothing special, it had the consistency of a store-bought sauce with no discernible origin flavor. The pesto sauce on mine was actually pretty good in terms of creaminess and texture, but lacked zest. It complemented the chicken, which was fortuitous because the chicken was dry and unseasoned. We got salads with the entrées, which was nice — hard to screw up salad. The raspberry vinaigrette was rather thicker than I might have expected, but this only subtracted minimally from the flavor profile. Overall, we were not necessarily dissatisfied with this place. However, if we are ever in the area, I’m sure will try another place rather than return here. I would come back, however, to try some of the wines, since it seemed as though they had a good selection. However, I could have just photographed the menu and looked for them in the store — oh well, hindsight is 20⁄20.

Went to Lock 24 for a girl’s night. The company was delightful but the food was not. We ordered the crab cake appetizer and I wasn’t sure that is what showed up at the table, or at least I didn’t recognize it. They were mostly bread and mushy. The eggplant Parmesan was in line with the crab cake, mushy and wad unrecognizable. The other dishes were so forgettable I can’t even remember what we had. We commented on the crab cakes and eggplant, no amendments were made. I will not return.

This place has really gone down hill in recent years(new owner or manager?). On my most recent visit, the house salad was full of brown lettuce. The waitress could clearly see the brown lettuce and brought it to me anyway. My son ordered Alfredo and it tasted like Styrofoam! I was offered a free desert for the bad Alfredo. My guess is they no longer know how to cook at this place. I think everything comes from the freezer to the microwave. I used to enjoy going to this place because it was close to home. Its too bad.

A couple weeks ago I went here after a long walk at beaver lake, The food was excellent and the atmosphere was improved becuase, its been years since I last eaten at lock 24 and when I came back 12 years later, I was happy to see they remodeled the place. I ordered the burger with the mushrooms and blue cheese with a side dish of sweet potato fries with a little ground cinnamon, it was all good and I plan to come back there soon. the staff was really nice too.

Food was horrible… steak overcooked and grizzly(only able to eat about half), lobster extremely undercooked… hardly able to eat any or peel of shell. Service at the bar was mediocre at best. Best part was dessert to go: carrot cake. Never going back…

We were staying across the way at the Red Mill Inn to see a concert, and this was pretty much our only food option at 2:30PM on a Sunday. The service was S-L-O-W, and we were starving after driving 5 hours, so that was a little frustrating. The food was diner standard, but well-priced. I wouldn’t necessarily choose Lock 24, but given no other options, it’s not a terrible place to have a beer and some fried food.
