The Suds Factory River Grill

Beautiful location next to the river in Bville! We look forward to coming back in the summer. The interior is lovely — nice woodwork. We were there in a Friday night for dinner and there was definitely a happy hour crowd. Food was good, beer selection was even better! We will be back!

We live in B’ville and have come here many times. Nice cosy atmosphere. Somewhat hard to find even though it’s the middle of town and parking is across the street requiring crossing Rt 48. Rarely crowded, often few people here and often very quiet and a great place for a relaxed dinner, sometimes you feel like you have the place to yourself. Service has always been pleasant although sometimes a bit slow, perhaps due to being understaffed. The food had always been quite good. Don’t know why this place has not become more popular, but most likely it is location rather than the quality of the experience.

Absolutely terrible food and outrageously expensive! We had 2 salads and a glass of wine and the bill was $ 47!!! And the salads were awful, seriously how can you make a bad salad!

What a shame, such a perfect location overlooking the lock and river. You should be buzzing every night. Have you figured out the problem yet? The FOOD! Yuk. Dry chicken fingers, really? Flat bread pizza was the only thing eatable. I’ve tried it 3 times because we love the view but can’t go back again. Try going over the bridge to Sammys, try there shrimp tacos. Now that’s food. Hope it comes to you soon

It is basically a bar (the downstairs pub). The food choices were typical pub fare. Portions were very small. I ordered sliders that tasted as though they had been bathed in salt. My son had the steak sandwich and I swear they used «steak-​ums» for the meat. If you want to sit by the river and have drinks, then its a great place. Just skip the food.

First of all the bartender Jake is just as solid a guy as they come, veteran, & his hospitality makes you feel like you’re coming to your neighborhood bar. Really enjoyed the Lobster Roll, generous portion, the real deal. I promise you’ll get lost in the music. Prices very reasonable, totally worth it!

Excellent. Loved sitting right on the water. Service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. The food arrived quickly and well prepared. Only complaint was they didn’t have any of their Suds Factory beer available.

Wonderful service, wonderful ambiance. Food portions were great for the price. Interior is very well designed and the seats are very comfortable. Runs circles around the BVille Diner.

My husband and his friend started off with the clams and they both really enjoyed them– usually my husband isn’t a fan but makes an exception here.
I had the chicken sandwich and it was delicious! I love the potato wedges that come with it.
I have never eaten up stairs but ALWAYS enjoy my meal downstairs.
Outside of pizza joints, this is a great place to eat in Baldwinsville.

My boyfriend and I came here on a whim after learning Wacky Wyatt’s had closed down. What a fantastic decision! The inside is beautiful, a very neutral setting with an amazing view of the river. Our waitresses name was Brittany and she was delightful, not pushy and not slow. She was very kind and was great at making small talk. The prices are moderate, not too expensive given the amount of food you get. I ordered the Steamers (clams) and they were fantastic. They were presented well and delicious. My boyfriend ordered a burger… he does not get full very quickly and he could barely finish his meal (in a good way). I can’t say enough, how much we enjoyed this place. I highly recommend it… beautiful, considerate, delicious. :)

The food here is absolutely amazing! We brought our friend from NYC and he said it was the best restaurant meal he’d had in a long time – which means a lot coming from someone who lives in NYC! The lunch service can be a little slow, but dinner service and food is always spectacular. The duck is SO so good. Suds Factory, if you read these comments… change out your front windows!!! They are reflective and when you drive by, you cannot see inside. If people could walk by or drive by and see your beautiful and inviting interior, you’d get more customers!

I live in Bville and have been to Suds several times. Love the waterfront view. Interior décor and bar are well appointed. Servers are very attentive. We always get the crab cake appetizer and it is consistently good. The wine glasses are large and filled high! The main courses are over priced and consistently disappointing. Tonight my steak was ordered medium rare and was well under cooked. My daughters salmon was burnt. The seafood trio is a Small portion and nothing special. $ 168 for three persons. We came in on a Friday night at 7pm and were only ones there. Disappointing again. need to make menu more affordable. Better preparation of main dishes. Feel bad for servers. They did everything right. Food was terrible.

Had a GREAT lunch here today. Service was great, food was great, and sitting outside by the river was perfect. Big fan!

A great place to sit outside or in and look at the river. Beautiful patio and good beers on tap. The lunch menu was limited but really tasty. The sliders are my favorite. I will be back!

Live this hidden gem. Food is always fresh and the ambiance is great. Every time I visit I make it a point to come here and have a seafood dish. My favorite is the sea bass. The lobster ravioli and the crab cakes are amazing as well.

It looks as though this place has potential, but our very brief experience here was disappointingly sub par. My friend and I walked into the pub looking to split a pizza and have a drink. The pizza was described as «fresh mozzarella and marinara», yet what came out was «microwave pizza at best». We inquired about the tiny soggy mess and were told that the cheese substance was in fact fresh mozzarella because they make it in house, but they were sorry it was not what we were expecting. Whether or not it was actually fresh mozz is questionable, but the real crime is that someone apparently forgot to cook it.
Perhaps they do better with the «fine dining» upstairs.

This restaurant had become a favorite of ours. The food, presentation, service and atmosphere are outstanding. Upstairs us more fine dining and downstairs is pub style. Both offer beautiful outdoor riverside seating in nice weather. An excellent addition to Baldwinsville.

Came here on a gloomy rainy Monday night in April. I had the great pleasure of staying at the Red Mill Inn accross the street, but thats another review. The place is not very well marked and they should do something about that. The drivers in this quaint picturesque town had not heard about the «yield to pedestrians» rule and I almost got killed coming and going to this gem. I wish I had the plate #‘s…
Sat at the beautiful bar area and was instantly impressed at how nice this place is. I was asked if I was part of a large party downsatairs and I told them I was not. I immediately though my meal would take forever (it did not)
A very pleasant bartender/​waitress named Lauren came over and we chatted for a while while I enjoyed an ice cold Laquintas draft ($ 5) I told her that I did my homework and I wante the Salmon ($ 24)
No frills until my meal ame out… wow…salmon on a bed of green mashed potatoes with a fresh crunchy assortment of vegetables all around. Atop the salmon sat a large sea scallop that was cut lengthwise into 5 pieces. Absolutely delicious… I wondered why all of my salmon does not come with this fantastic addition. The green mashed potatoes were accompanied by a green sauce that tasted like pistachio, Also, served with my salmon, was a wondrful maple glaze. Everything was hot and fresh.
I have read other reviews that claimed this place is expensive. There is a reason it is expensive… it is not cheap to serve wonderful fresh meals prepared by a top notch chef… go to McDonalds if you want a cheap meal…
I was really happy… can’t wait to return…

Homemade food with fresh ingredients. Server was very nice and took time to share the dinner menu with us (during lunch). The dinner menu is only two pages long and I think that is a Good Thing.
A nice addition to the B’ville dining scene. I’ll be back!
