Magoos Pizza

I love this place the creamy garlic combo with extra sauce and pinapple is
the wedges are pretty amazing too. They don’t skimp on the ranch. The service is just ok to me, but the pizza makes up for it.

If I could give it zero stars I would. This place was not even busy and I waited over 15 minutes and not one of the three employees acknowledged me. I just came here anyways for the convenience and the fact that it was closer to home. I should have just went to Tony’s Pizza in the first place.

Best pizza in town! I have been super happy with anything I’ve tried here! The mozzarella sticks are amazing and the salad bar is always fresh. Also, the place is always so clean, even during rush hours. Perfect place to take the kids! Great food and atmosphere!

My favorite pizza place in town! They have the BEST wedges I’ve ever had. They also offer sandwiches that are so, so fabulous if you don’t feel like pizza. If we take the kids out for pizza, or order in, it’s always Magoos!

I came here to get some pizza and play some games. And a friend ask if we can use their party room. A co-​worker of theirs mumbles to another employee «are they fucking retarted.» That’s really rude for an employee of theirs to say in an open area were customers can hear.

I love their wedges! The pizza has a great tasting sauce and their chicken is flavorful. This was the first place I ordered from when I moved to Bakersfield 6 months ago and I fell in love! I’ve also dined in, their service is fast and friendly.

Great place for Sunday football. The food was amazing. We had the all meats pizza, wings, and potato wedges. The owner is very accommodating our game was only on one tv and there was no place to sit so they brought over a table for our party of 8.

I had been pining for some really good pizza lately and Unilocal,you did not steer me wrong.
I guess when I walked in, I was expecting the inside to look as decent as the outside. Nope. It reminded me of an old, run down bowling alley with industrial, basement carpet, old furniture and dirty tables.
Service — just was not there. It was not horrible, it was just absent and one may expect more from the owner (he served us).
Happy hour was on and we had a drink while we waited for our pizza to-​go. 11am-​6pm for Happy Hour daily. My Corona was cold and refreshing with lemon. No limes here.
The salad bar we perused. Not something I would ever come here for.
I hear the fried chicken is good here. The prices are OK. The place was dead late Friday afternoon.
We will absolutely return here for more pizza which was quite delicious. Try the combination! Good crust, decent amount of sauce and fresh, plentiful toppings. We would do take-​out only though and call in ahead of time for our order.

Being new to Southwest Bakersfield, I had to try a few pizza places before I decided on my favorite delivery. Magoos wins. Their pizza is pretty good. The sauce has a nice garlicky flavor to it, and the toppings are generous without being overwhelming. The real winners here folks, are the deliciously crispy edged potato wedges! I never thought I could find wedges I liked after Shakey’s pizza died out, but Rusty’s really filled that gap for many years. Magoos wedges are similar to Rusty’s but they’re even better Bc they use more of the coating which bunches up along the edges of the wedge and gives it a nice crispness. The ranch is good, and they give you a generous cup of it, not like rustys who only gives you two per order and charge a quarter per extra cup of ranch. Fried chicken is also similar to rustys, and it’s been consistently good. Antipasto salad is nice and fresh and has a nice helping of meats and veggies. My new favorite pizza delivery in southwest Bakersfield.

Best pizza in bakersfield hands down. Service is always great, price is more than fair. Delivery is always earlier than the time they give. Support this small business it’s the real deal!!!

Can I give it a minus? Why have a buffet if you are not going to serve it.
I arrived at 130pm and granted they stop serving it at 2pm, I order a buffet and the first thing the guy at the counter is look at the clock. They ring me up and get my stuff I’m ready to eat, they never put any fresh pizza on the table all they had some pizza that it looks like it was there since 12pm. Not good. Not coming back for buffet here ever again.

Where do I start? So we ordered pizza and they told us it would be 40 minutes… it was over an hour when we called to check on it. I understand sometimes you get behind but they weren’t even very friendly when we called to check about it. I hate to put a negative review but it wasn’t a good experience. Now for the good part… their potato wedges were awesome! The pizza… well Ive had better seemed to be 90% dough with some toppings on top.

We still love their pizza best but they don’t have great beer. So mostly we get take out and go home to eat our pizza with either some Lengthwise or Lagunitas beer. The best of both worlds.

The fried chicken is a 5 star. Totally great. Perfectly seasoned. The crisp is not too crunchy. Just perfect.
The pizza is a 1 star. It’s weird. It’s the first time I took a bite and spit it out immediately. There is an odd spice. Cinnamon? It’s just weird.
Staff seems nice. I liked them.
Therefore I give a 3 to average out the two items.

This Magoos location is really nice. It is very clean and pretty roomy inside. The salad bar has a great selection of toppings and dressings. There is a little game room with a pool table also. There is a good size party room off to the side of the game room. The pizza was very good… thin crust like I like. Their wedges were also very impressive. I think they use the same batter they use for the chicken (which was the one downfall-​chicken wasn’t the best) I will def be back again. Thank you for giving me more options for pizza Magoos!

Great for groups. When we eat here the is always awesome. Love the TVs especially when they show most Basketball/​FootBall games. Also they have Beer available.

This past weekend, we came to Magoos to try their pizza. We ordered a Large pizza (half pepperoni) and half roasted garlic & tomato. They allow half /​half pizzas! :)
It cost us $ 15.99 because they gave us a $ 2 discount (probably since it was happy hour time?), which is reasonable for a large pizza in town. Within 15 min of waiting, our pizza came out in a box and we took it home.
It was pretty good, typical of most pizzas we’ve had so we would give it 3.5 stars. :) Staff was friendly, plenty of seating inside, and even an arcade area too!

I like to eat their pizza once in while. I used to be a regular here last summer. All my tennis buddies used to come here for beer, pizza and wings. Service is good and beer is cold :). Parking is not a problem except some Saturdays. They take all credit cards. They also use creamy garlic sauce.
