Finally got to try Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers! Reminds me of Steak and Shake back from the Midwest. I got the double steak burger and it was amazing! The patty had so much flavor. The fries were great. Thin cut and extra crispy. We need to open one up here in the bay area!

I really like going here if I’m craving onion rings they are a battered onion with most places having breaded I usually order a regular cheeseburger and you can tell its not a frozen patty but its always overdone and sometimes falling apart, but does have a fresh toppings and over taste is pretty good. The employees are always nice and cheerful. The price is a little more then most fast food drive-thru so I do except my food to taste good. You cant beat the desserts with plenty to choose from my kids love the dirt and worms which has cookie and gummy worm toppings. So all in all I would recommend Freddys for the desserts and sides and something that is just reheated but if your looking for a really good burger I wouldn’t recommend.

I’ve been to this location about 5 times and I am always very happy with both the food and the service. The employees are very friendly and make an effort to ask how I am. The food is great! I love the steak burgers and thin cut fries with the seasoning salt. I always get a mint oreo concrete as dessert, my boyfriend prefers their shakes. I’d rather have Freddie’s ice cream over Dewars any day. Keep up the excellent customer service!

This place is ok inside, really busy. The food is really good. Freddys style of steakburger and thin cut fries with the turtle shake is the best fast food in california. Way better than In&Out in my opinion!

I don’t dislike Freddy’s. Truthfully I go a lot. My teen LOVES the Freddy dogs. I myself just can’t get into this place completely. Here’s my reasons…1. They have Pepsi products(enough said on that) 2. They are pricey. 3. And most importantly the beef and chicken seems off(for lack of better term) being a ranchers kid I notice these things. On two visits I’ve returned my food(at both locations) and explained the issue. They were kind enough to make me new items. At the location on Ming the manager personally brought it to me. I probably should cut my losses and stop eating at Freddy’s I don’t think my teen will agree. :)

Freddy’s is good. I’ve been on a Freddy’s kick lately after their cheese fries hooked me right in the wedding diet. Perhaps I’m just weak and pitiful in this hungry state. Anyways, I’m stuck between comparing it to a Happy Jack’s type burger, but also feeling bad because Happy Jacks is better. Let me put it this way: I’d choose Freddy’s a trillion times over McDonalds, but I’d never choose it over In N Out. However, something keeps me coming back to Freddy’s. It may be the shoestring fries, or perhaps the thousand island sauce they call«fry sauce.» The pickles are pretty good here too, and I can’t really complain about the chopped steak burger aspect other than it doesn’t stay hot very long — still tasty, though. Their milkshakes — or «concretes» — are addictive. Especially the chocolate kind. I drive thru when I come here and the service that way is fine, however — the one time we did go in, it was almost closing time. Instead of being scoffed at for showing up close to their shifts ending, the servers were super friendly with my apology and even joked that«late night meals are the best meals.» So no, Freddy’s isn’t entirely scrumptious or groundbreaking in that regard. However, they ARE good, the service is welcoming, and I’ll keep coming back as long as it stays that way.

The service wasn’t amazing as what we receive in Victorville, but maybe it was just a bad day for the young lady behind the counter. This location is big, and clean. The quality of the food was what I expect and enjoy about Freddy’s. No complaints here.

I’m originally from LA and there are two things we do not have there: Freddy’s and Sonic. So needless to say, I eat at both frequently, although they aren’t exactly«to die for» or anything. That thin, paper-like steak patty gets me. I don’t know what is exactly so so good about it, but I dig it. The fries are deliciously awesome, too. They’re super thin and crispy and just awesome. My kids and I often come here just for fries and concrete. I have noticed that if you order fries to-go from the drive thru, there is significantly less fries than there are when you dine in where the basket is over flowing with fries! I usually get the plain chocolate concerte and am a huge fan of that. However, I tried the Oreo concrete sandwich yesterday and it was bomb. Totally worth the $ 1.79(6 for $ 8.99). My daughter got the dirt cup and it was meh. Nothing great. Just vanilla concrete with crushed Oreos, gummy worms and whipped cream. Aside from the $ 1.79 Oreo sandwich, everything else is a bit expensive. Yesterday, we ordered 2 large fries, a mini concrete and the Oreo sandwich: $ 15 and change. Yikes! But they know, and I know that it won’t deter me from coming back, so… *shrugs*

This is our kids’ favorite place to go when we ask if they want to go out for ice cream or if we ask them where they want to go after a show or performance… we all love their frozen custard and the fries with their house seasoning(available for purchase if you want to take one home) and dipped in the special Freddy Sauce! The sandwiches aren’t bad either… kids always order the hotdogs or chili dogs, of course. I always get the double patty burger California style! And my husband will order any of the sandwiches protein style everytime. Always had a good experience when we go. Wait time isn’t so bad. Staff is always friendly and place is kept pretty clean. I also like looking at the different photos around and reading a little history about Freddy and how the business started when we dine in. Unfortunately because of where its located, its not convenient for us from where we live, work and where kids go to school… so Freddy’s will always be a treat for us when we go on that side of town.

This place was recommended to me, as I’m not living in the area. It reminded me of Steak ‘n’ Shake elsewhere. It’s in a busy area, but there is a traffic light, so that it’s easy to enter the shopping center. Parking is available up close or in the adjacent shopping center lot. When I saw that they had frozen custard, I was interested to see how it stacks up against Kohr Bros. or Rita’s typical New Jersey-style frozen custard, which is amazing. When I looked at the menu, I was a bit overwhelmed – they have a lot of options. When I told the person behind the counter that it was my first visit, he explained it as: Every burger is a double, with two thin and crispy patties The California Burger is like that from In-n-Out, with spread but that can be removed He mentioned what the original had on it but I don’t recall anything but the pickles. Oops. I ordered the Patty Melt, something that was his favorite and I’ve had a lot of places, with swiss cheese, grilled onions, and rye bread. It took a little while for the food as they were steadily serving the drive-thru. Thankfully, it was easier to find a place to sit, as opposed to In-n-Out, where you need to have a guard dog to hold a table for you. They call your order number as «Guest xxx, your order is ready.» I was pleasantly surprised about the Patty Melt. It was quite good, even though the bread was really buttered(or oiled) for the grill. The shoe string fries were okay, but they didn’t taste particularly fresh and they were limp, rather than crispy. They need to throw them away much sooner. Service was friendly and efficient. There is no table service. You order at the counter and pick up just over from there.

I have only eaten inside once at this place. I prefer to just drive thru. The only problem I’ve ever had with this spot is the drive thru takes forever. Other than that, the mint Oreo and the pb&c concretes are my absolute favorites. The burgers are pretty good as well. The only food I’m not a huge fan of is the fries. They are very thin, which isn’t my favorite style fries but it is still a delicious place to stop by every once and awhile, especially for concretes.

Eh… Pretty mediocre in my opinion… Nothing at all special about the burgers. The shoestring fries were alright. Their concretes ice cream things were pretty good though.

We were headed across the street. We saw Freddy’s and decided to try. BOYAREWEHAPPYWEDID! The burgers are fantastic. the fries are crispy and we love the thinner style. Service is great. Very friendly. The young man at the counter, MARK, was friendly, and polite. He did a great job.

This was the best find we have ever found from Unilocal!Wanted a good burger. and found a great one here! A little expensive compared to In and Out, but so worth it! Love the thinner patties cooked perfectly crisp around the edges. Fresh lettuce, huge tomato slices, and an onion slice was like having a salad on my burger! Perfect iced tea to go with the meal. Well done, Freddy, well done. We shall return :)

Drove thru to grab a single burger to try them out. The wait was way too long. Got my food to find out it was the wrong burger. Ugh! It would have not been so bad if it was not coated in cheese which I do not eat. Called the restaurant, was asked to come in for a free burger and custard to make up for it. A bit of a pain but mistakes do happen. The custard was worth the drive back. Try the Hawaiian sundae! The burger was ok. A tad thin and dry for me but a neat concept(steak burger) and I am willing to give them another shot.

This place still sucks, horribly. I’m a nice girl. When I have a bad experience somewhere, I will generally give it a second try. I realize sometimes you can catch a restaurant or store on a bad day. Hell, people catch me on bad days so I totally get it. All I have to say is, get it together, Freddy’s. We got two kids meals and two cheeseburger meals(California style) and spent $ 25. Ouch. I figured if the food was good then the price would be worth it. HAHA! No. I was kind of excited to try their burgers again. I was hoping I would be pleasantly surprised. To be honest, I was in the beginning. The burger tasted great! Just as I was getting really excited, my feelings soon turned to horror. The entire middle of my patty looked RAW. When I say raw, I mean raw. It was so pink it was almost red. A little pink is fine, but this was literally almost red. Really? Really. So that is my latest adventure with good ol Freddy’s. I gave them an extra star because their fries were great.

I finally decided to finish up my review for Freddy’s. Have now been here a total of 4 times. Our very first experience here was a nightmare! If I had written a review after that it would have been Negative stars if that were possible. Did not because they had only been open a week so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Instead I wrote them an e-mail relating our disappointing experience. The owner wrote me back, apologized, and encouraged me to give them another try. Well, it has taken awhile… but we have been back 3 times in the last 4 weeks since that awful first visit. Each time has gotten better, although I am not yet quite a fan. We dropped by yesterday because are Unilocal buddies were raving about the Concrete frozen custards! Wifey and I said we have got to see what we are missing because we must be ordering wrong. With each visit, the frozen custard has improved. Going from Negative stars(because it was like cold soup the first time) to 4 stars now. Yesterday, my wife had a large Hawaiian Delight Concrete. I tried the small turtle sundae once again. For this latest visit, the Hawaiian Delight Concrete was 4 stars worthy! The employee who made it did a fine job. It was a good mixture of the macadamia nuts, coconut, pineapples, strawberries, and frozen vanilla custard. Way better than the previous visits. My small Turtle Sundae was 3.5 stars. Would have liked more frozen vanilla custard. The toppings of toasted pecans, hot fudge, and hot caramel were yummy. On a previous visit, I had Freddy’s Single Steakburger combo meal. It was 3 stars. The steak burger was not bad at all. I was not expecting much, but the combination of the thin meat patty, mustard, onions, and pickles on a butter toasted bun left my tummy satisfied. So, based on all of our four experiences here… Freddy’s gets 3 stars from me. I am happy that it is no longer a «nightmare». Hopefully, all their staff is now well trained in making those frozen custards. We do not want anymore of those melted frozen custard soups ever again!

OK, we came back again earlier this week and ordered some new items from the menu! Again, we give this place a solid 4 stars for the food and our experience. :) 1) Double Patty Melt — it’s similar to a grilled cheese sandwich, but it comes with 2 thin burger patties, grilled onions, and melted swiss cheese. YUM. tastes delicious; went in with no expectations, and came out feeling satisifed. 4 stars. 2) Great American Pizza Burger — we also ordered this burger, as it was«new featured» item on their menu. It tastes just like a sausage pizza, haha. 3.5 stars 3) Small vanilla custard cone — vanilla custard ice cream in a small cone! wow, the custard was rich, creamy, and ohhhh… so yummy. :) it tastes even better than the froyo/soft serve you get at McDonald’s. $ 2.09 only, which isn’t so bad. Because I ‘checked-in’ on Unilocal,I got this dessert for FREE on the house! woot. I’m sure my husband and I will be back; it’s one of his favorite burger joints in town. :)

I went to Sonics to try to pick up some desserts and it was super long and looked up on Unilocal for Burger King. Upon arrival, Burger King wasn’t there and Freddy’s was. I guess this was meant to be because I really enjoyed their ice cream. Too bad I already ate lunch otherwise, I would of gave this a try. There wasn’t any lines and parking was super easy. There were a couple of guest inside the building but I think they were still brand new because I noticed management was teaching new workers. I ordered the Hawaiian Delight which consist of pineapple, macadamia nuts and etc. and to my surprise, it made me feel like I was Hawaii. lol jk. It was very tasty and it brought my mouth to excitement. When I’m in town again, surely I would like to try their main menu.
