Farmer Boys

So this is my second time going to Farmer Boys in six months. Both times its took forever and everything tasted like grease.
I ordered a wrap and somehow salad in a tortilla tasted like grease. Ick Dude!
Waited in the Drive Thru for 30 minutes. That isn’t an exaggeration. I was on FaceTime with my nieces and nephews for 28 minutes & I was chillin in the Drive Thru the whole time. Nahhhh Dude!

Ok, I would give this place a 5 stars because of the food!!! But the DAMN FLIES are all over the damn place and it’s HOT IN THERE!!! Horrible experience!!!

I love going here for breakfast. The portions are large and the drive through service is always quick and friendly. Those who are writing negative reviews should realize that this is a fast food/​drive through restaurant.

Manager is extremely rude! Would prefer to give it zero stars.

Food just ok but the stickies tables loud mouth waitress. Standing talking when she could be wiping down tables. Someone old dead lady décor. All I can think about is all that stuff needs to be clean.

Just had this place for the very first time and I ordered a big order with my family… but they forgot one of our orders. Overall though, the food was really good. The avocado bacon burger was very good, highly suggest it. After everything we called to inform them they forgot an order and they told us we could go back for a free meal and milkshake which was nice of them.
Would of been a 5 star review if they didn’t mess up our order.

Went to grab breakfast,! Didn’t take long at all maybe 10 minutes if that! The girl was super nice at the window

Burger was dry and way overcooked like chewing a charcoal briquette. Not only that but the meal was expensive and the fries were soggy.

Overall I never have a problem with the food. Out of the many times we have gone only had an issue with my cob salad once. They really need to change their soda machine. EVERY drink is watered down! This is really why I am giving them the 3 stars! This really need to be addressed. It makes me wonder if they ever change them out?

Went to have a tire changed and figure me and the family would try this place for lunch. I always want to point out if the staff was nice and yes these people were. The Burger selection isn’t vast yet it’s interesting. The portion of French fries made my day and the Burger hit the spot. My daughter enjoyed her shake and my wife liked the atmosphere.

Terrible service, not sure if she was the manager but she has been rude all three times we have gone to eat here. Trainee was nice and cooks were nice. Ordered breakfast with scrambled eggs. The eggs were fried not cooked through and chopped up I told the waitress /​manager we ordered scrambled eggs and she said that’s how they do them. So I asked the cooks if that’s how they were made and they said no that they could be better. Our food the other two times we came was good this time was off not coming back. Maybe they got a new manager.

Food is absolutely amazing but every time I go I have to wait over 15 – 20 minutes in the DRIVE THRU for my food. They need a faster drive thru service and I would continue to go there since their food is so tasty.

This was my first time at this location. I wasn’t too pleased. First, I asked for no cheese on my burger. I let the waiter know and she took it back and made again. I got my meal and everything was room temperature because it was sitting there for a while until she brought it to me. Second, I asked for avocado and there was literally hardly any avocado on it! (I posted a picture of what they gave me.) I then grabbed my 1 year old and took it back to her and asked if that’s all the avocado I got for paying the extra! I was frustrated at this point but was calm. Finally I got it all the way I ordered it but still not so warm. I said Whatever and just ate it.

I used to like their 3 egg breakfast (only with a coupon) but lately there hasn’t been any coupons plus the serving size has gotten smaller and smaller… It is now much too expensive without a coupon to order… Food has become very inconsistent, good one time and bad the next… The décor of the restaurant is nice and usually clean… Not the first choice for me to eat a «fast food» breakfast anymore…

Farmer boys, was a lot better in the beginning. But now there’s nothing that makes it standout.

I first encountered a Farmer Boys many years ago in Tulare, Ca when I used to live in Earlimart and that is where we would go for a Walmart, etc. That initial memory of Farmer Boys far outweighs my visits to any of the ones here in Bakersfield. I remember really delicious burgers, awesome breakfast burritos but of course locations are different and that was many years ago.
I usually go to this location on Gosford because my work is right around the corner on District Blvd. There are times that I have sat and ate here for lunch but most of the time I take it to go cause I have work to do as I eat, yes I’m one of those workers (at a computer). I would say within the last 3 – 5 visits I haven’t changed up my choice from their menu much, I either get the Farmer’s Cobb Salad or a burger. But see there is my problem, I know I’ve eaten a few of their burgers but I can’t remember the names of the burgers for the life of me but I can tell you what the Farmer’s Cobb Salad has because I enjoy it that much.
Lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, red onion, boiled egg, bacon, grilled chicken and avocado with your choice of dressing, which I always, always pick Thousand Island. I’m not much of a ranch person, but then again it depends on the place because some places have some kick ass ranch.
Why 3 stars? The food varies, one day it could be 4.5 then the next day a 1 – 2 stars. The consistency of their food is not great with the exception of their salad. But sometimes it takes 5 – 7 minutes to get my salad at the drive-​thru and sometimes I get it right after I pay. And this is with no other car in front of me so there is no prep time between my order at the speaker and arriving at the window, so that baffles me.
Farmer Boys is not what I remember but it is not the worst but for the prices they have, I wish they would step up their service and consistency for their food.

Great food but inconsistent service and quality. Last week i ordered my usual salad wrap and when i got to work it was a greasy breakfast burrito, when i called the girl was rude and basically told me i couldnt get a refund… i went after work and spoke to a mngr and got refunded easily. Then today i got my wrap again… i got to work and the wrap was all torn and when i tried to pick it up it fell apart. The service at the gosford is inconsistent at best… servers seem clueless, I also witnessed non employees walking into the kitchen area and conversing that doesn’t seen right to me.

It is now 8÷10÷15 and I have yet to receive anything in the mail from Farmer Brothers. So I guess they don’t care as much as they pretend they do about getting bad reviews.
9÷2÷15 and I have still yet to receive anything in the mail from Farmer Brothers. I did not write them a negative review to get anything back from them but to keep anyone else from having to pay for such bad food as I was served in the restaurant. The fact that they wrote me a letter and pretended to care about their bad review and told me they would send me a certificate to try again so that they could do better and then they have done nothing says a lot more about the company than just that they have bad food.

I have been to this particular location several times as it is closest to my home. Overall the food is decent and slightly better than your average fast food chain. As far as it being «fast» food it is pretty slow but they do cook to order so at least your food is fresh. My recommendation is the turkey bacon melt. The fries are okay but I would recommend having them fried well done. The zucchini is delicious and the breading is light. If you want the quickness of a fast food place and the perks of table service I would suggest this place. Staff is always greeting you as soon as you walk in the door.

Kinda disappointed. Ordered for family of 4. They were not too buzy but Church had just got out so there was about 6 tables with people. Our order took 30+ min to get to us. The toast was burnt and the burgers were raw. Then they were mad when we asked to have them cook it longer. I pay good money to go here and I asked for them well done. The big light in the sky is I disgusting with bugs and the fans give off nothing but falling dust (on our food). Also they need to clean the numbers they give to customer. They are black and have food on then
