Wow a ghost town at 730! We sat down down anyways it was a little weird being the only people in the restaurant but we had extra servers so that’s a plus. We ordered a couple drinks which were very yummy. The food is a good variety of options we started with the grazer and it was a big portion of breaded green beans, sweet pototo fries, chicken strips, chips and artichoke dip it all tasted great we asked for a side of ranch but got a little extra in the ranch, it had a soggy chip it in. Dinner we got the pear blue cheese burger and Kobe beef tacos the burger itself was good the pear was hard and inedible I also took the arugula out since it didn’t look very fresh. Tacos where good nothing special. The waiter was very nice. I would recommend for a quite, very quite night out for appetizers.

The service has been bad in an empty restaurant. I took them longer than average to to address us for our beverages etc. the manager apologized for keeping us waiting but only had to wait longer than verge for the server to come greet us. He looked sloppy in jeans and shirt untucked and sloppy. The manger stunk. Obviously a heavy smoker because his smoke breathe and the smell permeating from his clothes was disgusting.

Food was terrible. My ribeye was awful and thin. My friend had a chicken salad and the chicken was like a pre cooked bagged chicken from foster farms. Inedible!

Came in tonight around 8:15p and sat in the bar. Took 10 min before the waitress/bartender would even look at us, despite walking by several times. Finally got our order taken. I got the Thai High Chicken salad, which was delivered without salad dressing. The food sat in front of us for several minutes while we waited for silverware. The waitress disappeared and was never seen again so we asked the girl delivering food for dressing. She was super confused and asked if I wanted ranch. I said no and that I wanted what was supposed to come on the salad. She disappeared and was also never seen again. Finally a guy comes around and we told him and he said he had the same problem with«her disappearing». Not sure if he meant the waitress or the food delivery girl. He promptly got me my dressing, but that was it. We never got our drinks refilled, and it took over 20 min to get our check. It was absolutely ridiculous. I won’t be coming back. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

After a long day of shopping in The Marketplace my grandmother and I decided we deserved a meal! We decided on this venue knowing the food items would be plentiful in variety and flavors as their«thing» is international inspiration! Luckily for us, it was the first day they had released their new menu. I was surprised by the diversity and creativity they had brought to the table! I tried one of their burgers and my grandmother their pot roast. To DIE for

Perfect restaurant for a quick lunch if your on time crunch. I always order their Thai High chicken salad and its never a disappointment. My coworker ordered a delicious looking hamburger that was cooked to perfection. Manager came to our table, introduced himself and made sure we were well taken care of. One for my favorite spots for cocktails as well. Awesome atmosphere, no complaints. Sign up for their rewards and you receive a free appetizer your next visit, perfect. Will be back again soon!

When my girlfriend and I were seated, we were greeted by the Manager Darren. He was very friendly, gave us the name of our waitress and made sure all of our needs were tended to. He was very warm and attentive. Our waitress Savannah was also very friendly. They as a team were receiving compliments at the table next to ours. Our dishes were served promptly, and custom orders noted correctly. We had the garlic lemon chicken with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, a Caesar salad, mac’n’cheese and a petite steak. I was overall beyond satisfied with the service. Our prior visit was over a year ago because of lackluster service, but the experience earlier this week definitely made me rethink. I wanted to come review because of the superior service offered by Darren and Savannah, thank you both!

Things have changed since I’ve been here last. The major thing is their menu is completely different. Elephant Bar isn’t my favorite place to eat. However, my husband really enjoys it. We went because our boys earned free meals because they were Student of the Month. I thought that was super generous of the company. So, thank you Elephant Bar! The one thing I liked best was our free appetizer. If you download their app and register for their rewards program, you receive a free appetizer. I just love their lettuce wraps, so that’s what we ordered. I think the best part about the lettuce wraps is their mango salsa. I always have to ask for more! I feel like the lettuce wraps are different from when I’ve had them before, but it’s been so long, I can’t remember. My husband and I shared the lettuce wraps and we also split the fish and chips. The fish was ok and the French fries were horrible! I don’t know if they were old or what, but they were hard and did not taste very good! That was a disappointment. The kids’ meal selection is pretty great! From a chicken quesadilla to corn dogs, ribs, a chicken teriyaki bowl, and more. Each kids’ meal comes with a drink and a sundae! My youngest had the chicken quesadilla with the chicken on the side. He liked his quesadilla and even liked the chicken separately. My oldest had the ribs. He absolutely loved them. I am sure he’d order them again. He was torn between the ribs and the teriyaki chicken bowl, but I am glad he went with the ribs! Like I said earlier, the kids’ meals come with a sundae. The sundaes come in a little sweet won ton shell. There’s a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a choice of caramel, chocolate, or strawberry topping. It comes with whipped cream and a cherry on top. Although the food was decent, Elephant Bar is not my first choice when dining out.

I hadn’t been to an Elephant Bar in years. Being from LA we had Burbank and Encino and those have closed in the past couple years. So passing through Bakersfield for our trip up to family in Nor Cal we stopped at this Elephant Bar and had a great experience! It’s definitely in a nicer part of Bakersfield and coming in it was calm and was seated right away. We received excellent service from our server Jake who endured we had refills and our food came in a timely manner. It was also nice having the manager, Amy, checked on us as well and was very friendly and attentive. Overall great experience. Being from LA it is a true refresher to get good service. We would definitely come back next time we pass through :)

I have come to the elephant bar on several different occasions. I usually only come for a meal when invited but sometimes I´ve stopped in for a drink. The meals are almost always a nice, appealing dish with an expected taste. I do not particularly enjoy the Elephant Bar because I feel like they are the embodiment of restaurant mediocrity. It’s a franchise. It’s so called«fusion.» Its wait time becomes outrageous during dinner hours. Worst of all, one really cannot say what exactly they specialize in. I feel like the label«Asian Fusion» serves only to further confuse the diners. I have on one visit encountered a terrible problem. My food had glass in it. Apparently a bottle had broken in the kitchen and instead of getting rid of the food they decided to serve mine with glass in it. A terrible job on their part. I crunched on glass and all I received for it was a free meal and a future free meal. They would rather potentially kill someone than to do the work of making another dish. At worse it only costs them a meal or two, right? Poor service, I’ll try to never come here again. Note: I forgot to mention the lighting. If you’d rather not see your dining companions, this is your place.

Came for dinner and loved the food. The steak was tasty! I really wanted to give this place a higher rating becsuse of how good the food was but the customer service needs to be addressed. I brought my date for dinner around 7: 30pm and was seated on the very first booth near the door. Nothing wrong with that but I wish they would have asked if maybe I’d like to sit at one a little farther away from the kitchen noises and the entrance. Maybe one of the more secluded empty tables towards the back of the resturant. I had to try and enjoy my meal next to a really loud family and their crying/yelling baby and it was not a good experience. A little consideration would have been nice. Other than that, good food! Try it :)

My first concern was how empty the place was at 7pm. We were seated and were given the new wooden menu. We were later informed they are still testing it. When we asked what happened to the«massive book of choices,» we were informed that corporate decided to change it up. We got our salads really quick and they we’re fresh! We were told by the very nice manager Steve, that corporate wanted to get back to a «scratch kitchen»…everything fresh… which is a great thing! I like the idea of fewer FRESH items then prepped food waiting to be ordered. That being said, I ordered the Lamb chops… ANDTHEYWEREAMAZING! Tip: sign up for the rewards program on line. You earn stamps and after three times, you get $ 5 discount.

Giving 3 stars because manager Daniel and waiter trainer, Andrew turned the experience around. Otherwise would have given a zero. Was in Bakersfield for a special event with friends. Waitress came around once in 45 min to check for refills. When she brought out the order, she did not bring out my son’s order of ribs. I asked her about, she said it would be out in a couple of minutes. 10 minutes go by and nothing. I could tell she was trying to avoid us, so I stopped and asked if she ever placed the order. She no, that she forgot. Then she made an undeliverable promise that the order would be out in 1 min. Of course it wasn’t so I asked to speak with the manager. I watched for 10 minutes and never saw her head toward his direction. I finally got up, walked over and explained the situation. The manager took her off our table, and Andrew took over. Night and day service. Would go back only because of them. If I see her again I will ask for another table.

At first I was hesitant to go because of the low Unilocal ratings and it was about 15minutes drive from my house, but I still did because of a friend’s recommendation. We ordered rib eye steaks with 2 sides each. I ordered fries and stirfried veggies as my sides with my rib eyes. We came in around 8 pm on a Sunday night and were seated very quickly. The place was practically empty, probably about ¼ full. I was initially concerned about being seated next to a family of like 8 people with a toddler. I was right. The baby started making a fuss and made a loud annoying shrill that startled me, but the dad took the kid out so that was fine. Orders were quickly taken and the food arrived fast! The ribeye was good, above average but I wasnt blown away. I will still order it next time though. The sides were perfectly seasoned but the portions were too small. Ribeye + 2 sides = $ 30 The restaurant was quiet and was easy to gave a conversation. The server was attentive without being too overbearing. Another complain though is the airconditioner. It was awfully too cold! I found myself uncomfortably cold I couldn’t sit still! I was rubbing my hands together, sitting on my hands, or having my hands in between my thighs for warmth. Had to go to the bathroom twice! It was that chilly! But overall it was a lovely evening and would definitely recommend this place! I would be coming back to try other items from their menu. Btw, even at night when we finally left the restaurant at 10pm, there was security who greeted us at the front on our way to the well-lit parking lot. :)

This has been the third time I’ve eaten here and again the food did not disappoint! I got the Chicken Marsala and my mom got the Monterey Chicken Sandwich. We also got a free Potato Skins appetizer for signing up for the Rewards card. Service, however, is not to bad but I think they can improve it. Waiters/Waitresses need to come check on tables a bit more frequently for drink refills. I was without water for about 20 minutes. On the other hand, they were all smiles and helpful when addressed. I do recommend.

We came here for lunch and the service was 3 star and the food was 2 stars, and I’m here to eat, thus, 2 stars total. Our waiter was nice, but he was a bit slow with re-fills and he was very quick to leave the table when checking on us, I had to call him back a few times. Our appetizer came out quickly, pot stickers. They were very good. From there it went downhill though. I ordered the Chicken Marsala as my entrée. The chicken was tough, especially being that it was selected medallions(their word, not mine) and not a whole breast. The sauce was bland and the mashed potatoes were a bit thin. I didn’t eat the spinach, because, I don’t like spinach(not holding that against them). I learned a good lesson though, do not order Chicken Marsala if you are not at an Italian restaurant.

Come Happy Hour! Burger with onion rings and bacon on a whole wheat bun, fries and a Beer for under 8 bucks! Plenty of TV’s to catch a game in the modular bar and good service from the waiters and bartenders. Best place to go before class at CSUB.

Elephant Bar used to have a huge menu, and though the food was typically mediocre, at least I could find a decent vegan option. However during my last visit a couple weeks ago, I was quite disappointed. First of all, my partner and I waited at least 15 minutes to be sat at a table that had been empty the entire time we were waiting. When we were finally seated, I began shivering like every other time I go to EB because they keep the dining room freezing cold. The waitress was very short with us(though I admit this was not the norm– usually the servers are very cordial and talkative). I couldn’t believe how few options there are on the menu now! I finally settled on a plain baked potato and salad– the only vegan options. My partner had a burger and a Caesar salad. His food was plain, and he was not happy with his overly chilled salad(he found a couple romaine lettuce heels in it, too). Mine was… Well, it’s not hard to mess up a side salad and baked potato, is it? At any rate, I won’t be returning to Elephant Bar anymore.

We really liked it here. Very cool for a chain restaurant. The décor appears African(think elephants of course, giraffes, palm ceiling fans) and the menu is very Asian influenced. We sat at the bar and had friendly service. Had to listen to football but that was ok. Prices were fair, about average. We had drinks, spicy soy beans and the calamari to start. The food was quite good. What I loved most about the menu is the amount of fish and seafood offered. Will be back. Was told Happy Hour during the week is 3−7pm. The restaurant itself was very busy, I liked the open kitchen concept and I found the space to be quite clean.
