This is my third trip to Eureka. I wanted a lunch stop with service. The service was great. I had the white fish tacos, ice tea and Rittenhouse Rye for desert. I was pleased with everything, ok, I would have love one more taco.

$ 8 for 5 cord dog bites? Everything on their menu is overpriced by $ 5! What a rip off!

Love Eureka food and service are always consistently good. They offer a decent happy hour and 50% off bottles of wine on Tuesdays all day!

Fantastic blend of flavored like roster romaine for the Caesar salad, Panko crusted onion rings, etc. expensive though. Portions seem smaller and prices seem higher. I do appreciate that they pride themselves on all American made craft beers and have a nice variety. Very clean and good service.

Tonight was my first and last steal the glass night. Tonight’s theme was cookies and milk, with Brown Butter Cookie Company cookies and Velvet Merlin Milk Stout on nitro. The event was supposed to start at 6. We arrived shortly after 6 and were served by 6:20 after standing at the bar 3 layers deep. We only received part of the promotion for the full price — the cookies were gone before the glasses ran out. I know it was first come first served, but still very disappointing.

This place is amazing. Bison burger is unbelievable The perfect blend of spice, sweet, and flavor, with that blast of deliciousness. The sweet potato fries w/honey is fantastic. I can’t wait to come back to Bakersfield and enjoy a meal here again.

Have eaten here quite a few times but have never taken the time to do a review, so I’m far past due. Always receive fantastic service here at Eureka and this time our server, Sid, was awesome. He was highly knowledgable of all the spirits. Make sure you have him recommend something. You will not be disappointed! We had the Ascendant Breaker Bourbon, neat & the Spicy Shine cocktail(wow!) so amazing! Enjoyed the steamed mussels with bacon & jalapeños for our appetizer and it was s perfect starter! You can’t go wrong with the bone marrow Burger… soooo amazing & decadent!!! I know… usually you don’t describe s burger as decadent but TRUSTME!!! You must try it!!! Also, the steak salad is great when you want something light but still craving a little red meat! They always cook the steak to perfection! Enjoy your dinner & drinks out on the patio for a nice chill evening.

I came here for lunch when I was in town visiting a friend. It seems like a pretty cool chain with craft brews and burgers. I ended up trying the bone marrow burger(because bone marrow, duh!). To be completely honest, it does not look good in pictures. The burger patty is smothered in a bone marrow butter. It is mighty delicious though, but very heavy. I shared this with my friend, who ordered the fried chicken sliders. The sliders came with mashed potatoes(weird, huh?), really good fried chicken, cole slaw, and their own version of the reaper sauce. I really enjoyed it. I like how they allow you to customize a lot of it. For example, you can add toppings, change the cheese from the preset menu. My boyfriend ordered the blue pearl burger which normally comes with blue cheese, but he replaced that with monterey jack cheese and added a fried egg. My friend’s boyfriend ended up getting his burger in a tortilla instead, per his preference. They have a full bar, so they made us cherry cokes with grenadine. That made the child in me very happy haha. I kind of wish they had a location in LA or South Bay. I’d definitely come back here.

My XO recommended the place and this place is super solid. Ordered the bone marrow butter burger and it’s really good. On top of all this, craft beer! Had some tasty beers, waitress totally knew her beers.

This is my second time giving Eureka a try and first of all, I’d like to thank Taylor for giving us another chance to experience Eureka. Service(9⁄10): our waitress was amazing. She was on top of everything from taking our orders to refilling our drinks to getting us our check. Taste(10⁄10): my husband ordered the Jalapeño & Egg burger and I ordered the Pearl Street Blues Burger. We split the burger so both of us get to try out both flavors. He loved his more stating«there’s more of a kick to it» and I loved mine more with the blue cheese/onion/mushroom mix. The problem remains the same as our first experience… THEBOTTOMBUN(0⁄10). Both our burgers had soggy as heck buns(picture included). It’s not a great feeling when you get a hold of your burger and its soggy/greasy. I don’t know if it’s been sitting at their«warming station» for too long that the juice from the meat that it just absorbed right into the bun or whatever not. So in general. the flavors, I personally think I can get it at other burger joints, but the soggy buns. Eureka’s the only place that serves it.

First of all, I really have to say we had THEBEST service. Our waiter was amazing! He was super attentive, extremely nice, knowledgeable about the menu and drinks, very friendly, and bent over backwards for us. Thank you to him! With that being said, I really wasn’t too impressed with the menu, the selection, and prices. It’s a bit too pricey for my wallet. I had the Cowboy Burger, but it wasn’t too impressive. The best thing about it was the meat! I loved it, but I don’t think I’ll ever order a burger again. I actually don’t think I’ll ever go back. It’s not a slam to the restaurant. It’s just not impressive enough for the amount of money we had to pay. My husband loved his burger. I really think this is his kind of place. He loves to try any type of beer. I think this is a place for him and his buddies to go to, not a date night. I definitely don’t think it’s the right environment for our boys either. We didn’t take them, but the waiter suggested bringing them back because they have a kid’s’ menu. That won’t happen! All in all the service was amazing, but I’d rather take my money elsewhere. Sorry, Eureka!

It was nice to see another Eureka in the area! My boyfriend and I got super excited to use my gift card here for our night snack. However we got super disappointed :( 1. The service was mediocre, she didn’t make us feel welcome. 2. The food was awful, we got the truffle fries it was just okay. Nothing special! I felt so bad wasting food so I tried to finish it :(it would had been nice if the waitress asked if we liked our food tho :/ 3. The waitress didn’t ask us if we wanted to refill our waters rather did it automatically… doesn’t she know of the new laws? 4. Need more variety in the menu. Pro: very pretty and nice environment for friends!

We would eat at Eureka 3 – 4 times a week if it made financial sense. We love the atmosphere, the variety of beers(which are ever changing), the food options, and the service. Not to mention the steal the glass events on Wednesdays! We’ve come for lunch, during both happy hours, and for dinner, and have had a wonderful experience each time. We have had A LOT of their different beers, but my favorite is still the Brother Thelonious brewed by North Coast. It’s a hard one to find so I’m glad they have it. We’ve tried quite a few different food items. Our favorite for appetizer are the nachos and the firecracker wings. The truffle fries are delicious too! We usually go for the burgers rather than the signatures dishes, but we’ve had both. My favorite has been the Tortilla Burger(although the Blues Street is a close second), and my husband’s favorite has been the Jalepeno Egg Burger. I’m not a fan of red meat, but they gladly switch the meat patty out for the beet patty(yes, beets) or a grilled chicken patty. Both have been fantastic substitutes on various burgers. The service is what I expect(and I have high expectations) if a waiter/waitress wants a tip: they’re friendly(not just courteous), knowledgable about the food & drinks(we’ve never been disappointed with a suggestion they’ve made), as well as attentive and prompt(we’ve never had to wait to get a refill on a drink).

Eureka! is still a solid option for those looking to imbibe and chow down on gastropup-esque bites. It’s one of the few places that does the cocktail thing. Yeah, Bakersfield — get your drink on and open more joints that serve craft cocktails. kthx. Mini corn-dogs are always a winner, and the watermelon quinoa salad is perfect for hot summer days. The high-top seating to the left of the entrance is still obnoxious. No foot rests makes it uncomfortable for short people. Otherwise — Bravo Eureka! You have now been upgraded to Five stars!

Celebrating my friend’s new job, and passing the bar — and she picked Eureka Burger as her go to place for her celebration. Very hip, cool industrial vibe. Great subdued lighting. Very crowded(but yeah, it was a Friday after work Happy Hour), and really hard to hear each other. The menu was very creative, and they had a great selection of other dishes besides burgers, which I was happy about. The Happy Hour before 6:00 is great — we got the Shishito peppers, truffle fries and osso bucco appetizer. The peppers and osso bucco both were tasty, and creative dishes. I especially liked the Shishito peppers, which was perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. Wine and beer is two bucks off … I personally didn’t care for the truffle fries. The truffle was mixed with a cheese /velveta feel spread and it was too rich, for my taste. I really wanted to love the truffle fries. To give you an idea of how much I love truffle fries, I had a picture of truffle fries as my Facebook profile picture for more than a year lol… I ordered the bone marrow burger; a limited number of which are available each nite. Bone marrow sounds gross, I know… but I love this rich, indulgent delicacy, and in a burger it was great. I think I prefer to have the bone marrow prepared differently /separate from the burger and spread on a toasted piece of bread as you would butter or a cheese spread as it was harder to differentiate the rich taste of the bone marrow with the burger. Still, it was great, and I’ll order it again when I go. We had to order dessert to celebrate the momentous occasion. The new lawyer ordered the chocolate butterscotch pudding — her favorite, and it was delicious. I had ordered the chocolate soufflet(spelling is incorrect I know, but too lazy to look it up), and my friend the third choice, a tart I think of some sort — but they both were out of both though it was relatively early in the evening. We both ended up stealing bites of the pudding, which like I said was delicious. I can see why she was so eager to order this … I’ve passed by this place lots of times on my way to Sprouts, but never noticed it. I’m really glad my friend suggested it. I definitely want to come back, but I think for me the old fuddy duddy, to escape the loudness, I’ll come back during off hours, when the cool kids aren’t there, when it’s a bit quieter. I’d like to sit at the bar, or perhaps the outside patio.

I really wish I had visited Eureka sooner because it is bomb! My friends and I went on a Sunday afternoon and since the weather was perfect we sat in the patio area which was lovely and cool. Fortunately we arrived in time for happy hour and got some good deals on drinks and apps. Although they carry my favorite rye, it was not on the HH menu. The truffle fries I ordered were though and I’m glad I got them. So freaking good! I wasn’t that hungry after my fries since it is a huge portion so I ordered a caesar’s salad for my entre. It was served with the romaine whole, which is my favorite, and it was grilled. Super yummy! I want to return to try the burgers because most of my friends had those and they looked delicious.

Fyi, I’m not a pro. I’m just a normal guy who loves to eat. I decided to start Unilocaling so I could help others find delicious places to eat. Oh Eureka! I have mixed emotions on this place because I like the atmosphere, but for me it’s all about the food. I have come here multiple times and usually I stick to ordering a burger.(I usually do the Eureka Burger: add cheese, add bacon, add avocado, and sometimes add a second patty.(Get on my level.)) The quality of the burger is pretty consistent. The meat tastes fresh and is always cooked just as asked for. The buns are lightly glazed with butter, though some may not like that, I LOVE it. The bacon is always cooked perfectly and tastes amazing. One complaint I do have is the avocado. Seems as though the chefs are lazy. They don’t slice up the avocado thin enough so you’ll at times get a bite of avocado with a bit of meat along with it. I usually expect a bite of burger with a taste of avocado. Normally, fries are served alongside the burger. I am not a fan. The fries seem«garlicky.» They seem too bland and disappoint the fullness of the meal. The burger is pulling all the weight in that combo. The truffle fries, on the other hand, are pretty decent. I do not drink alcohol so I apologize for not having any critique in regards to the drinks. I can tell you their water is always refreshing lol. In my opinion, the only food item that is priced accordingly is the burger. It is a little on the high side, but the quality of it sort of makes up for it. The fries make me change my mind. I’ve also had the nachos and they are a disgrace for $ 10.50. The chips seemed a bit stale and the toppings were disproportionate to the amount of chips. I can go to a Mexican restaurant and have killer nachos and twice the food for $ 8. The appetizers are all over priced. I’ve had the fish tacos and the truffle fries. They are both good, not amazing, but priced as if they were out of this world. I think you are paying for more of the atmosphere and the location of the place rather than the food itself. The atmosphere is great. Eureka, thank you for a cool place to eat, drink, and watch sports. Wait that’s Buffalo Wild Wings. Nope, you don’t have the ghetto Mexicans in the corner getting drunk and celebrating every first down the Raiders get. To me, Eureka is a classier place to do what you do at BWW. Bakersfield definitely needed this and for that I thank you, Eureka. The service is definitely above average. I never write about service because I’m an eater. Doesn’t matter if the waiters/waitresses forget I’m there as long as the food is good. This place has good burgers(foodies, stick to the burgers) AND decent service. The servers are pretty attentive and seem to hustle. They did forget our side of truffle sauce, but eh, no worries.

Price: overpriced for the quality Service: quick and attentive Crowd: family and friends Location: convenient, other shops walking distance, also shopping Décor: dim lighting, tv with sports channels on. Full bar. Indoor and outdoor seating available. I’ve never heard of this place coming from norcal. So here I am with a friend for lunch on Saturday after movies… I ordered the NAPAVALLEY burger, they let you switch out your patty to turkey or tofu free of charge. So I did that, switched out my patty to turkey patty. Comes with roma tomato(a whole half of a tomato on top, not sliced, but slightly grilled), pesto, arugula, some cheese… Comes with side of fries (choice of regular or sweet potato) Friend ordered the FRESNOBURGER. Similar to mine but he kept the beef patty and had a large pile of arugula on top. Friends opinion: «it wasn’t that great.» My opinion: «it’s great, I liked it, but it’s not something I would crave for.» Overall, the buns were excessively smothered in butter, so, obviously it was really GREASY to hold. And burgers in general are already a mess to eat and to top off they don’t have napkins to wipe your hands with, just the flimsy dry towel that wraps the utensils. Btw, UNLIMITEDREFILLSONFOUNTAINDRINKS was pretty nice. The fries were way too salty for our liking. Would I come again? Probably not for a while, as I’ve mentioned, it’s overpriced for the quality of the food. It felt like heart attack eating all that grease. There were still droplets of oil on the plate when I lifted the burger up.

My favorite spot in Bakersfield to hang out and have a beer. All the bartenders, servers and hosts are great and it’s good to be a regular when you travel. Andrea is my favorite server and remembers my beer of choice, Turbo Dog or any porter on the rotating handles. There are specials most nights, but the best is the Wednesday night, «Steal the Glass.» A different brewery each week features one of their beers. For the price of a good beer you get to keep the pint glass with the brewery’s logo after you finish drinking it. This week it’s Brecher’s Black Bavarian Lager. It starts exactly at 6:00 pm and they serve until they tap the keg, which sometimes is as fast as 15 – 20 minutes so you need to be here as close to 6:00 as possible. I have a collection of 20 glasses so you know I’ve been here too much. If you come early they have great«Happy Hour» specials on drinks and food. The Nacho Average Nachos and Osso Buco Riblets are the best and you can easily eat the apps instead of a meal. Draft and bottled beers and wine are $ 2 off. However, their burgers are awesome so make sure you save room. The favorite seems to be the Jalapeño burger served with an egg, but my favorite is the Napa burger. I’ve had them all and I would recommend each of them. Finally, they do have awesome desserts too. But the best is the Apple Crisp served with a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s not too sweet, but still feels decadent. It’s easy to spend a few hours here so pace yourself and keep track of the time.
