This is the best indoor venue to see a concert in Colorado. Great experiences with ticketing, seating, and sound. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They often get big acts that are touring the area in here to play the ~500 seat theater. The theater is stunningly beautiful. Really comfortable too. I have seen a dozen or so shows here(drive from Idaho Springs) and have had a top notch experience every time. Two things could improve — the parking situation, which i think is just a beaver creek thing, and they could use another bar for pre-show drinks. Other than that — two thumbs way up!!!

Beautiful venue! Whatever the occasion, you can’t help admiring the layout and the acoustics are amazing. Take advantage of any of the many eating establishments in the village for a quick drink or pre theater dinner.

On December 7th, 2011 I had the opportunity to see the Secret Sisters and Brandi Carlile at the Vilar. This place was nothing short of amazing. There was not a bad seat in the house. The center was built to take full advantage of the stage and is large enough to seat a good deal of people(530 to be exact) yet it had the feel of a smaller more intimate theater. The seating was open and since I was in the first group of people to arrive I had my pick of the seats. Third row, center, thank you very much! The sound quality is nothing short of perfect. They offer a coat check and beverage bar with beer and wine if you like. Not a bad idea but they may want to rethink the whole beer thing. It’s not that I am opposed to a drink or two or three however, think about it people. Beer and belching are very close cousins. That is all I wish to say about the issue well that and maybe the fact that there was a women who came very close to having her beer placed in an orifice of her body that theoretically should not have anything placed in it! I digress, back to my review. The Vilar is the perfect place to see a concert or show. I highly recommend it especially if you want to feel as though you and a dozen of your best friends want to have your own personal concert. The ushers and staff were very friendly the parking is underground and just a short walk away. The fire alarm went off during the concert but the incident was handled very well and was overshadowed by an amazing show. The Vilar is well done and well worth the cost of ticket and parking!
