On beautiful, warm summer days we love to head to the Town Hall with the dog and go for a nice long walk around the park. It’s all laid out very nicely with trails around the whole thing that also connect to the nearby neighborhoods, plenty of benches, a sufficient number of bag dispensers /receptacles for us dog owners(I’m talking about poop here, people), and a nice looking pond in the middle. There’s also a disc golf course if that’s your thing and two playgrounds for kiddos. We’ve also seen events happening behind the town hall building a few times — live music, middle aged folk in lawn chairs… the whole bit, really. The whole place is kept clean and green, which makes it a pleasure to take a walk in. There’s also a good amount of parking at both the south and north ends, so it shouldn’t be difficult to find a spot on either side. And the best part is that Frost Bite is on our way home, so we always stop in for a treat on the way back. Town Hall Park and Frost Bite is what summer in Avon is for!
