Pretty disappointed in my experience tonight. We came here pretty frequent and tonight we decided to order them to go and have them go family coming in town. HUGE mistake. I’ve been back 3 times to get what I ordered!!! Shame on me for not counting the wings the first time but come on! They didn’t offer anything to make it right or credit me or anything. Not too sure we will be here again. Stinks cause we liked them more than pluckers.

This is by far my favorite wing place. The flavor is better here than anywhere else! I love the suicide sauce, if you like hot, try it! They also have the homemade ranch! Yum! It costs extra which is my only complaint but worth it. The staff is so friendly here. Not sure the of the girls name that always works the counter but she is so friendly always and she does a great job! She deserves a raise! She’s part of the reason I come back! If you like wings, check this place out!

I now remember why it has been over 5 years since I’ve been here. Mediocre over priced wings and $.60 for each quarter sized ranch dressing. Never again.

We stop there about 2 times a month, it’s not the best I’ve ever had, it’s certainly not the worst. The wings are good, they are consistent, the waffle fries get real crispy when you heat them up.

Kind of hard writing this as I know what real wings are and there aren’t any in Austin; by a long shot. I asked for extra crispy and I think that was a key move. Otherwise, these would have been underdone. Really, I think this is about as good as it gets in Austin. I’ve had Pluckers and others, including BW3 when they were on 6th Street. Someone looking to open a food truck needs to read this. You could make a killing.

My daughter and I stopped in for a quick dinner after a long day of shopping. It was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised! The boneless wings were delicious and a great price for their tue/wed special of .60 each. The guy who took our order was super friendly and helpful as he explained the menu to us. It’s nice to visit restaurants with employees who value customer service. He suggested the Caribbean Jerk sauce so that’s what I ordered. It was great, tasted a lot of Tabasco in it but I love Tabasco so that was perfect for me. My daughter had honey bbq and loved it. We will be back FORSURE!!!

I took my whole family here just yesterday to try out their $.60 boneless wing special and we all enjoyed everything VERY much! Most of us opted for the mild sauce which was plenty hot for the wimps among us, but my one son asked for the hot and he said he LOVED it! The waffle fries were a very nice addition, too! They were super crispy and the seasoning on them was delish! I’d also like to send a shout out to the EXTREMELY patient and nice gentleman who took our order. Being our first time we were full of questions, but he was super sweet and even let us sample a few flavors before we finally made our decision. So glad we finally tried this place! We will definitely be going back again!

The wings are always hot & tasty as they have have Fireman’s #4 an Austin local brew. A peanut safe place for my son to eat. But always ask before ordering. A local Asian Austin family owns this joint.

NEVERAGAIN! After a few bites, just threw $ 30 in the trash. :(Bad, bad, bad food and a TOTALRIPOFF!!! Save your $$$ & tummy! Bone-in wings — poor quality; weird busted bones(see the pic of the unidentified bone thingy I rec’d in my order???); fatty; had tiny chicken«hairs»(feathers) on them — GAG!; horribly cooked; some soggy and rubbery– others burnt — «Suicide» wings not hot; tasted like a like slight dressing of nothing but Tabasco — Lemon Pepper tasted very«processed» — each about $ 1 per wing Ordered Texas toast; thought it would be an «order;» rec’d ONE small piece of dry TT — 50 cents! Small potato salad; strangely sweet; not too bad, but… — $ 2.69!!! See my pic; was about 3 small spoonfuls Sauces — prepackaged fake blue cheese dip — disgusting! 65 cents each 4 pcs of celery — 60 cents Want all flats in a 5 piece? — add another 50 cents Can you say nickel and dime me to death? And for food that was SO unappealing I dumped it hoping at least the neighborhood cat would get a meal off of it. No, never mind. I wouldn’t even do that to a stray cat — will be sure to tightly secure trash bin. Recently moved to Austin and have been trying to find a decent wing place for my Sunday game day tradition. CHECK«Wings To Go» OFFOFMYLIST. I feel like I want to vomit. Yup, TRULY that bad. Now I know why the place was absolutely dead on a Sunday during the middle of football season. Also, I don’t really see any recent reviews on Unilocal.Am wondering how this place stays in business. ???

A whole lot of blah. Wings were alright. The sauces were packaged, big no no. Service lacked anything to complain about, but nothing worth getting excited over. I was most upset with paying over $ 40 for 20 small wings, and a couple of sides and 2 tea’s.

Disappointing! My husband and I just moved here and were out and about and I was craving hot wings. We both know better than to walk into a restaurant we don’t know anything about before Unilocaling them. The wings are GROSS, and the fries are worse! Instead of ranch on the side, we asked for a side of hot sauce that was an extra 75 cents. Really? We have to pay for a side of hot sauce?! We spent $ 35 and wish we hadn’t. :(We will never go back!

I really wanted something spicy to combat allergy symptoms. Since my husband and I were watching Sunday football we decided that wings would be a great choice. This place is closest to our house. I got the hot buffalo boneless wings. They were terrible — chewy with no flavor. I added Frank’s Red Hot for more heat. If I had gotten McNuggets and poured Frank’s Red Hot on them, that would have been better than what I got from Wings to Go.

8:45 the lady and I decide we want wings. I saw ok, go to the computer to google Wings To Gos number and find you can order online. I usually call them in or go eat there, so this was a nice treat. Order what I want, get my total, decide to pay when i get there.(This was best choice as the online prices do not show the daily deals, so my order was 3 bucks cheaper when I got there) Anyways, when I’m done ordering its prob 8:50ish? My order says it will be ready at 9:03. I think, ya right. Hop in the car, head over, get there at around 8:57. Tell them I have an online order and Im here to pick it up, add fries because I forgot to order them. BAM9:02 I have my food and its paid for. SUPER fast and every things correct lol Ok, enough about that awesome online order, I am sure none of you really care about that, but I had to share it. I have been coming to this place since day 1. Must say its one of my favorite wing places. Great place to catch a game, always wing and beer specials. My Top Choices on sauce: Extra hot — isn’t what you think it is, I would compare it to Hot at Plucks, maybe even a bit cooler. But it is damn tasty. Garlic Parmesan– This stuff is awesome, super tasty Lemon Pepper– These are prob my favorite here, i get them in boneless and they are bite size heaven bites. Barbicide– BBQ Flavor with a kick! Unlike some of the others, I haven’t had a bad experience here yet. Wings have always been good, and the service always top notch.

The wings here are slimy and gross. The HOT sauce is not hot at all and the Asian guy who took my order was rude. The only good thing about my visit here was the price… 50cents for wings, and the French Fries. Don’t think I will be going back.

RESTAURANTINSPECTIONSCORE: 86(12/10/2010) I finally made it back to Wings To Go 2−½ years after my previous review. And it was a much improved experience. Things that have changed for the better: — They sell beer(yea!). There are specials every night, and the owner has posted a handy board that tells you by day of the week which bottled, draft and pitchers are on special. — Wait times are reduced considerably. I only waited about 10 minutes for my to-go order, and when I got it home, it was hot and fresh. — Staff turnover seems to have solved the«stared-at» problem. I felt welcome and at ease here last night and the staff were way too busy to do anything more than service customers efficiently. My choice was the Tuesday special of half-price boneless wings. I picked up the 40-pack to go, which sounds like a lot of wings, but actually fits into just two standard flip-to boxes, plus a condiment bag. It’s a reasonable value on Tuesdays with the discount. Boneless wings here are effectively large chicken nuggets with your choice of special sauces. For every 10 wings you buy, you get to choose another sauce flavor. I chose the mild, lemon pepper, curry, and cajun sauce varieties. The wings are served with sides of ranch dressing and celery sticks. The chicken was very good quality and the sauces were tasty. I wound up sampling some of each variety(except the mild). One comment made by a family member that I happen to agree with to some extent, is that, when eating a variety, the sauces eventually start blending together. That is not to say the sauces are all the same, but, they tend to lose their distinction the more varieties that you sample in rapid succession. Individually, however, the flavors were unique and reasonably close to their namesakes. Hot tip: Wednesday nights after 6PM, the regular bone-in wings are 50 cents each, in orders of 10. I’ll be back again soon to sample additional varieties, and I’ll probably up the ante on the heat scale on some of the choices since I like it hot. Special shout-out to the gentleman who I believe to be the owner: I really appreciate your politeness and your patience as this infrequent customer stood to the side to plan his order. I hope to repay that with more frequent patronage.

The wings here are pretty decent. I ordered 10 bbq wings and they were tasty enough. The sauce is pretty thick and flavorful but the wings didn’t get enough flavor within. So they don’t blend well, its like some chicken in your mouth and then some tasty sauce also there but they are not really together somehow. You do get the wings pretty quick by wing standards, faster than Pluckers. And I am really not for their Half Price Wings, on Tueday only, after 6pm, only boneless wings deal. I drive by there a lot and every time I look at that sign I get a little annoyed. They have the Half Price Wings in big letters then Tuesday smaller, then after 6pm smaller and boneless wings only may not be on there at all. I hate this type of advertising, it may be effective but i just think its fishy.

I had never been to wing store, a restaurant whose claim to fame is deep frying the lowly chicken wing and making people come to them to buy just that. Who goes to a place just to eat chicken wings? Well, the better half had an odd craving. This place was nearby and I had always wondered«why the fuss?» So we went, not expecting too much. We had ten honey bbq wings and ten buffalo garlic wings. They were better than expected, but not crispy enough. The buffalo garlic needed more heat, but the flavor was pretty good. This 20 wing meal set us back almost $ 16, no drinks, no extras. Hmmm, I thought. All this fits in one styro dinner container. This seems crazy that I just plunked down a lot of money for one little tray of food. (Now here is where I go off on my high horse…) Then I thought about it and started to get kind of pissed off. I looked at my «wings». They were NOT wings. They were just pieces of wings. Thats right, people, a «drummette» is not a freakin’ wing. It is merely a PART of a wing, a little more than a third. The center part is another PART of a wing. In fact, in a ten wing order, you actually only get the pieces from 5 actual chicken wings. Think about it. You are paying almost $ 8.00 for five lousy chicken wings. These aren’t free range chicken wings from your farmer’s market, either. These come from a giant«bag o wings» direct from sysco or some other god-forsaken mass produced chicken farm where the chickens live in horrible conditions until they die for your meal. They are dumped into a fryer by a young restaurant worker who makes minimum wage and hates his life. For $ 16, you can feed a family of four with all the fixins from your local KFC or Popeyes. — And you get legs and thighs and breasties WITH mashed potatoes and that glorious cole slaw and maybe mac and cheese. Did I mention biscuits? You are so very pleased with your meal, you don’t have to think about poor mr. chicken’s life. At least it was short. Another alternative — for about $ 5 you can get an order of really good wings from Thai Taste, or pretty much any other little Asian restaurant. Whole ones. More than five. Much cheaper. In conclusion, WTF? Wing stores are a scam; a freakin’ rip-off. As if the 2010 elections didn’t spell this out for me in full, this little episode will continue to remind me how gullible the American public really is.

I play kickball and our team likes to get wings after our(loosing) games. Beer and wings always make a loss better. We usually go to Pluckers on Lamar, but when Plucker’s has a long wait, we will go to Wings To Go. The wings are alright. They are not as flavorful as they are at Pluckers. The homicide is freaking hot and will burn! I eat hot food all the time, but these wings are hot! Good: 1. Pretty cheap pitchers. 6 bucks. But there is an ice thing in the middle so it’s actually less beer than a full pitcher. 2. Usually space when other places are packed. 3. 50 cent wing night, but I’ve never made it over on a Wednesday. Some negatives: 1. The menu says wings come with celery and dipping sauce. So you assume it comes with it. Nope, evidently you have to request it and it costs 50 cents more. But what makes it more confusing is yesterday when I went, I did not get celery while my friends did without requesting it. 2. I can’t understand the people working there. 3. Their 50 cent celery isn’t checked. We got an order of the most wilted, yellow celery ever. 4. Overall most of the wings are not as crunchy, flavorful compared to a wing place like Pluckers. I eat her and I’ll eat here again, but it’s usually lower on my list than other wing places.

In a word? Wings To Go was… jumbled. It’s a smallish storefront clearly designed to attract the local sports nut, from the faux yard markers on the floor to the myriad pennants, banners and photos that dot the joint. The whole layout came off a little haphazard, and the menu wasn’t much better. There’s a lot going on up on that board, and it’s not super clear without study as to what comes with what. The guy at the register was perfunctory, but not necessarily in the best way: he was clearly going though the motions. The chicken tenders I ordered were straight outta the fry-o-lator and about seventeen thousand degrees(if you were in there, I was the guy making the ‘good gawd this is hot’ face over and over), and fortunately I had a lemonade to wash it down. I will say this: there’s a surprisingly excellent beer selection here, from the Negro Modelos they have on for two bucks on Friday nights to the Carlsbergs you can get on Monday special for the same price. It wasn’t the most fun I’ve ever had, but in a pinch, at least I can’t say that I’m still hungry.
