Wilshire West Apartments

This is the worst apartment building I’ve ever had to deal with, and I don’t even live here. My friend had a rat infestation within the first week of living there. It took over three weeks to resolve, meaning that she had to go stay with another friend during that time. Then when I came to visit her, they towed my car despite the fact that there were no signs indicating it’s a permit only lot, and the woman in the front office had told my friend that they don’t tow from that lot. I’ve called the front office several times asking for an explanation of why I was towed and have not received a call back. I had to pay $ 193 (that’s ONE HUNDRED and ninety three dollars) to retrieve my vehicle, which had been parked for less than an hour and a half AND there were a ton of empty spaces in the lot. To add insult to injury, the day I came to visit, the pool was closed and locked even though it was 90 degrees and sunny. This place is incredibly poorly run — don’t be fooled by the pretty hardwood floors and countertops. It’s not worth cohabitating with rodents (see attached picture).

Pretty bad apartments, I have lived in nicer squats. Apartment and truck where broken into multiple times. I once was kept out for three hours while SWAT was extracting my neighbor. But some weekends cops post in the playground all night for your safety. After three months of rat infestation I had to move, you couldn’t even keep for in the place. The place would not break my lease, hit me with some fines and filled an eviction on me.

These were some of the crappiest apartments I’ve lived in. I lived here in 2013 – 2014.
–We had roaches and ants.
–Our A/​C & heater did not work the entire year I lived there.
–Maintenance calls were ignored ⁹⁄₁₀ times.
–Bad plumbing (the apartments were built in the 60s)
This place is crap. 11 months after moving in they switched owners and I tried to pay rent but the office was closed for over a month straight. They didn’t have an online option and I was hesitant to leave a check in the dropbox.
Weeks later (the office was STILL closed) they gave me an eviction notice with late fees. What a joke. I paid them and moved out immediately.
