I gotta give major props to the guy who helped me. I was getting a new printer(back to school time) and couldn’t find the one they had in stock, so I asked him about it. He scanned it, said they had it in stock and knew where it was. Grabbed a ladder, got it off the wall, brought it to the counter(I already had my other stuff I was buying with me) and checked me out. He also carried the printer to the car for me. Great service! Also? He found my old Staples reward account with the number we had when we lived in TN and offered to update the information right there on the spot. Awesome! I wish they had a Staples in Cedar Park.

The manager monica is a horrible employee. She is very rude and unreasonable. I think it has to do with her lack of education but that is not an excuse for horrible service. I am never returning to that store because of her and I am telling everyone I know of the horrible service of that store.

This location has made a lot of improvements since I last visited a couple years ago. I went in for some printing supplies and ended up getting some accessories for my iPhone. Clean store, well stocked and friendly.

Although they offer the same price of ink color prints as Office Depot… Im going to Office Depot due to their poor customer service. 10 minutes on hold and three employees later to be told that a color print was 59 cents… Seriously? That should be general knowledge.

The return policy here is terrible. They will only return items within 14 days or exchange within 30 days. In my case I had a defective color ink cartridge that I purchased awhile back to have when my ink cartridge when out. Well it took a couple months for it to go out and the new cartridge I purchased from Staples did not work. I called the store and was told they would help me exchange or give a discount on the new cartridge. When I went up there the manager was no help and basically said to call HP. I have purchased computers, office furniture, and endless office supplies from Staples. I’m taking my business somewhere else!

Bought a tablet for my son for his birthday there and a few days after I gave it to him it wouldn’t hold a charge. I brought it back to exchange it after reading that many people had this problem. They have a 14 day exchange/return policy on electronic items and it was the 15th day. I thought that 30 days is the norm, but not Staples. They wouldn’t help me and I had to send it in for repair myself. My son didn’t get to use his new toy for over two weeks. Pretty anticlimactic birthday.

EXCELLENTCUSTOMERSERVICE!!! Unfortunately I went to a competitor first(they were closer) for some help with my invitations, BIGMISTAKE, I should have come here first! JAMIDIDANEXCELLENTJOB, and FAST too! The other«FedUp» store took over an hour, and they still screwed the job up, but Jami did the whole job FLAWLESSLY in less than 10 minutes and they turned out PERFECT! My fiancé couldn’t have been happier! Thanks Jami, you rock!

Despite being a big-box office retailer in a consumer strip mall, Staples seems to view itself as exclusively serving the business community during banker’s hours. Why do I say this? Last night, at 8PM – on a non-holiday weeknight – I recognized that I needed some laser printer labels in order to finish a project. This Staples location is my closest office supply store. Although Staples’ two primary competitors routinely stay open until 9PM, this store closes no later than 7PM nightly and 6PM on Sundays. While I can appreciate that Staples probably has sales and foot traffic data analysis to support their early closing before they dip below break-even, being in retail is about building brand loyalty by being available to the public when they need you. If that weren’t a true statement, then most brick-and-mortar stores would close 11 months of the year just to cash in on Christmas, now wouldn’t they? Despite having a generally friendly staff, between their hours of operation and some of their consumer return policies which were recently highlighted in the December 2012 issue of Consumer Reports(see previous review for details), this store is almost not worth the bother. Two can play this game, though. I will continue to use them as they use me: for sales specials and other spot opportunities. Otherwise, I’m tired of letting Staples be the Bain of my existence. FOOTNOTE: I went to Staples today after all because they had a rebate on the product I needed. As I was checking out, I noticed a stack of paper boxes by the front window with a price of «$ 1.00». Upon closer inspection of the sign, I found these are empty boxes, leftover from when they sell paper by the ream rather than the case. Yep, one dollar for a box almost any other store would gladly give away. Sheesh!

So I have lived in Austin for about 10 years total. For the LONGEST time there was not a Staples here. I do not like Office Max and Office Depot because many of them are old and dingy and have the oddest coupon restrictions on what you can use them on. So I was excited when the Staples finally opened. I love Staples and it shows because I am Staples Platinum Premier(or whatever) Tier Rewards b/c I buy so much from them. The Staples store here is always clean and there is always someone who will greet you when you walk in. Unless Staples does something stupid, I will shop with them forever.
