Shea McJagger at Salon Sovay

I seriously LOVE this woman. (And I mean that in a, OMG she does amazing things to hair sort-​of-​way) No lesbo stuff here. (Not that I’m against that) Anyway, 2^nd experience with Shea, and still as amazing as always & even made sure to write down all the specifics of my first color since it was perfection in a bottle. There was a small misunderstanding with scheduling & I somehow got lost in her schedule… BUT she sincerely apologized, got me in the NEXT WEEK, texted me when something even EARLIER came open, & did an Olaplex treatment for FREE!!! If you don’t know about OLAPLEX, I suggest you find out… SOON! HELLOO… any one who gives a shiz about their hair needs to get to this woman fast. But do it ASAP bc her schedule gets full & forget about getting her on a weekend! (damn us 8−5ers) but she does 5:30 appt.‘s too, so if I haul a&& to her after work, I can make it, and c’mon shes totally worth it. I have plans to win the lotto and hire her as my personal stylist & tour guide. (apparently she’s been to quite a few awesome places in & out of the country)

Shea is ahhhhmazing. First off, I googled «best salons in south austin,» and salon sovay was one of the first to pop up. I checked out each stylists’ bio, and Shea had a great story and years of experience, so I went with her.
I was not disappointed. I got there and told her I had a vision for my hair, and pulled up about 20 pics of the hairstyle I wanted. She nodded and understood, then immediately said she wanted to look at each one with me to see what I liked and didn’t like about them all. I mean, come on, that’s what you want in a hair stylist!
I basically got the short Miley Cyrus haircut-​an undercut all the way around my head with the pixie on top. She didn’t use an electric razor to shave my head, instead she used scissors and a thinning or texturing razor, which I liked better than the electric.
She was personable, didn’t bs around, and truly excited about the hair style, and really seemed to love her work. She was super attentive to the way my hair grows, and the smallest details of the cut. She would often stop and check out the progress, asked if I liked it and so on. She truly customized the look I wanted to compliment my face and hair texture. I love her and have found my stylist for life!
