Oh Edelweiss,
Why do I bother going other places? Why do I bother trying to cut/​color my hair on my own? You’re too good to me, and are always there to help me fix the screw-​ups in your cozy salon.
One time I dyed my hair black, then bleached it, tried to dye it red, but messed that up too, turning it cotton candy pink, only to dye it red again, turning it Pepto pink.
Alex slaved over my hair for hours, because I decided, somewhere along the way, that I didn’t even want it red anymore. I wanted it BLONDE! Not just blonde, but blonde with brown low-​lights. Couldn’t have been happy with just brown like anyone else in my situation. Shockingly enough, I still had a pretty good head of hair afterwards, and she did, in fact, get it to be blonde with brown low-​lights. It wasn’t even the least bit brassy.
Finace (I know I spelled that wrong, sorry) does some of the most amazing cuts on my hair. I have thick, rather coarse hair, with random waves, and he always knows how to cut it so that it will lay flat. I’m convinced at this point that he can do just about any cut you put in front of him. The last time I was there I literally drew a picture, asked if he could do it, and he did. Everyone loved it. Also, if you don’t know exactly what hair color looks good on you, he’s the one to help you decide. He’ll tell you what and why, and what not and why.
Everyone at Edelweiss is so nice, and so talented. I can’t wait to go back, which will be soon I hope. I never leave unhappy.

Alex is amazing! I highly recommend her. She is the best person to go if you have blonde hair. I have gone to other places and Alex is the best there is. I have always left there feeling like a million bucks. I had an appointment on my birthday this past year and not only did she wash, cut, and do my partial highlights… she did an up-​do for my dinner that night.

I can’t say enough great things about the girls there especially Liz!
I met Liz drunkenly at a bar — her brother and my husband work together. As all curly hair girls know, you get someone who knows their stuff you don’t EVER stray. EVER. My guy had moved away and I hadn’t found anybody that was worth it… until Liz.
She cut my hair and did a trial run for our wedding. it was SO gorgeous I couldn’t have asked for anything better. All I said was curls in the back and poof in the front. and well. POOF there it was!
She is the nicest nicest hairdresser I’ve ever met, and she did my mom’s color — my Mami loved her so much she wants to fly down from DC every six weeks just to see Liz (not me, her favorite daughter).
Liz came to our hotel and patiently did every single woman’s hair in our party — she knew what she was doing and every time I see pictures of their hair, but honestly in particular, mine, I have a HUGE smile.
The best part is she does guy’s hair — and well! The husband ADORES Liz and she never gives him the same cut twice — in a good way. He looks so sharp and well put together when she does it! He appreciates that she cuts and THEN washes (apparently this is a big deal for guys?).
If you want a great stylist, who is super super sweet (and why wouldn’t you?) go to Liz. She is uh-​MAZING!!!

Color color color. Alex knows blond. And Liz knows mens haircuts. And they also have good waxing. My husband and I have gone here for almost two years and I have sent many friends here. And I have learned being blond in Texas means BLOND! But Alex can do dark blond too!

I’ve been going to Alex since February of 2009 and couldn’t be happier! She hooks up my blonde (all over, double processed… don’t hate) without wrecking it at all. She’s quick, she does a great job, and she’s a lot of fun. I used to go to a more corporate place for my hair and I’m proud to be supporting a locally owned business instead. I should also mention that Alex did my hair for my wedding, as well as most of my bridal party, and it was perfect! The only thing more perfect was the cliché post-​wedding haircut that she gave me, I love that too! (After a year of growing my hair out for the wedding, it could have gone awry). In my experience, she’s great with color, great with styling, and great with big change haircuts too!
