Richard Lowe Refrigeration is the most unprofessional and unhygienic company I have come across in the 16 years I have been in the service industry. We had them out for the very simple task of defrosting our freezer due to the door being left cracked open. While here, we also asked that they cleaned the coils to all of our refrigeration units. I run a small smoothie shop and so of course we have products such as fresh fruit, juices and protein powders on our line. We leave these uncovered, except for at night, for consistent use. I asked the service man, Brad, if I could cover our products if cleaning the coils would be a dirty job but he assured me not. A few seconds later a huge dust cloud was all over our service area. When I showed Brad all of the dust that was covering our products he said, «well I just lost my job». Then he went on to lie and say he was an independent contractor, I’m assuming to make me feel sorry for him. The worst part is that when I called and spoke to the owner about his employee he had the nerve to tell me «well you should have your products covered like the idiot has never been out to a restaurant. I will be making sure that everyone I know and come in contact with will never use this disgusting excuse for a business.

Last year they came out to fix my ice maker and did a fine job. This year I had the same problem again so I called them to come take a look at it. They were supposed to call me at work so I could meet them at my house for an afternoon appointment. I waited all day — no call. The next day I contacted them and they were very apologetic. They explained to me that somebody on their staff had unexpectedly gone to the hospital and my appointment had just gotten overlooked. No problem. That seemed totally reasonable. They also were very gracious on the phone, said they’d make it a priority to set a new appointment that fit my schedule. I was impressed with their response. We scheduled something for the following week. Never heard from them. I contacted them the day after the second missed appointment. They said they had me down for the wrong day(my appointment was on Wednesday but they had it for Thursday.). Okay. They apologized again and said they’d meet me at my house at 8:00 am the next morning to get the repair done so I could still get to work without being too late. Next morning at 8:00 — nobody’s there. I waited for 30 minutes, then called them. They told me their tech had had an overtime call that ran late, but he was on his way to my house. I waited 45 more minutes. Nobody showed up. I’ve now fired them and I’m looking for a new provider.

I was wondering what Richard Lowes technician was dumping outside of my apartments yesterday morning 11÷11÷14? Why did it stink so badly I could smell it all the way to the apartment managers office? And why does it stink today? This is my home and you’ve chosen to desecrate it with filth. Thanks for stinking up our beautiful community, Pointe. 360 apartments. Now enjoy a shitty 1 star review.

These guys suck. I walked into my business one morning to discover that the fridge had died. It was 70 degrees inside of it, and I had just restocked it the day before. I ran down to Restaurant Depot to ask who they used for fridge repairs, and got the number to these guys. Called em up, and they were there within an hour. Guy walks in, pulls the compressor/fan unit out from underneath, and says my problem is a bad fan motor. «Yes! Something cheap!» I thought to myself. Guy replaces the fan motor. Waits for it to start cooling. Decides it’s not the fan motor. It was the freon then. He only had the kind that my fridge didn’t take. He put an adapter on the copper tube to add some freon, and added a few pounds. He waited a while. Still no drop in temp. Then the problem was my compressor. $ 1200 bucks he said. Then he said it was the capillaries and that it would cost more to fix than to buy a new one, and that it would take a long time. He then proceeded to start putting everything away. I asked him to take the $ 80 fan motor off since it wasn’t the issue. The wires were cut so close to the fan that I couldn’t put the old motor back on. The bill was almost $ 300, for him to break it even more than it already was. He didn’t secure the compressor/fan unit afterwards either. I wouldn’t recommend these guys at all. I had to spend over $ 3000 on a brand new fridge, plus what they charged me, on top of being closed for two days. If you want to spend a lot of money for absolutely nothing but someone to talk to and watch fiddle with your fridge parts, give these guys a call, otherwise, I’d suggest finding someone else.
