Go Green Squads

Claim to save you energy, but I have witnessed first hand they where going to increase a customers electric consumption by adding another unit. Due to the fact they have no knowledge in the HVAC Field and rely on sub contract knowledge only. His only issue on his 2 year old home, was his ductwork was undersized.
No reason to increase energy consumption due to lack of knowledge !
Any company’s «slogan» doesn’t always mean, they know what they are doing.

I just had a horrible experience with this company. If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would.
I was referred to Go Green by AHS and had to call the insurance company today to request a different contractor. The customer service was terrible. I had to call them THREE different times to confirm that I was on their afternoon schedule. Keep in mind that I’ve been without air in my house since last Wednesday night, so I’ve been anxiously awaiting getting things fixed. I took the afternoon off of work to be here to meet their 3 hour window.
Today, the tech called the wrong number to let them know that they were on the way at 10:00 AM?!? I specifically confirmed with them on three separate occasions the day before that 1.) they had the updated phone number, and 2.) that they would be at my house BETWEEN 1 – 4, and they FAILED to manage either of those two things.
Only when I contacted them AT 11:30 AM to confirm my PM time slot did they tell me that I had been cancelled on the schedule because no one was at the house when the tech decided to show up. To compound matters, they refused to reschedule me for today at any time and said they could try again tomorrow.
BOTTOM LINE: FIND SOMEONE ELSE!
This company was completely unprofessional, incompetent, and uninterested in helping me out. Thanks for wasting my time off, guys.

Where to start with this horrible company… Awful communication, apparently tons of staff turnover, rude and incompetent staff, and poor work. It took them over a month to complete everything per our energy audit (which included fixing the ceiling where a technician fell through and was unprofessionally repaired). And coming home to my A/​C completely turned off with my dogs inside, because they forgot to turn it back on. Now less than a year later the new A/​c unit is not working and it is taking over a month for them to fix it. We have had pay out of pocket for someone else to come since they don’t work after 4:30 or on the weekends (even to come repair their own work). I regret ever using them and would NEVER recommend them to anyone else.

I have a home warranty & when I had an AC issue, Go Green Squads/​Service Tex was assigned. Their technician was very rude, argumentative and not helpful. He told me I was «wasting my money» because they came out when the issue wasn’t happening at that moment & so he couldn’t help me. I explained to him that it would have been helpful if the lady on the phone would have mentioned they couldn’t help me unless I was experiencing the issue at the time (my AC hasn’t been kicking on when the temp gets above what’s set on the thermostat. I usually just have to turn it off a few mins and back on to fix, but wanted to get it checked since it’s getting really hot). He also refused to look at my blower for the AC when I asked because it was located in an inconvenient spot and he insisted it didn’t need to be looked at. In the end, I ended up paying $ 140 for more freon and I still have the issue days later. Never had a service technician this rude.

Go Green Squads created a comfortable and energy-​efficient home for us! They did HAVAC replacement, window replacement and window screens. The Go Green Squads technicians and project managers were responsive, on time, personable, knowledgeable, skillful and helpful. They were very clean as well and returned without question when the home inspector found issues (there weren’t many, btw!) ‘t are now saving hundreds of dollars in energy bills each month! We are extremely pleased with the work and the organization and now saving hundreds of dollars in energy costs each month. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to create and energy efficient home.

Go Green Squads took the time to figure out how to reconfigure the ventilation system on our difficult, low-​roofed, small, 60+ year old house. They listened to me, and even though I suspect the job ended up taking longer than they’d planned on spending here, they didn’t leave until it was finished and I was satisfied. The house is cool and dry now, and I have one mid-​sized high-​efficiency HVAC instead of two inefficient units. I’m already using much less electricity than I was a year ago. I’m happy with their work and their attitude, and would call them again!

We hired Go Green Squads to service our air conditioner (just in time for the heat wave!). They were on time and efficient, and very informative. They told us our house looked like it was in pretty good shape efficiency-​wise, but that the AC needed cleaning and a little coolant. So they took care of that, and we’re shocked at how much cooler our house is! Our daughter actually complained that it was too cold at 78 degrees. They made it super easy to get the rebate from the City of Austin, so it was truly worth every penny and then some. We’d highly recommend them!
